The Legacy of the Alpha King: Hiding his Secret Twins

Chapter 16 by Ebony Woods

Reuben POV

“Alpha?” Nate’s voice enters my head as I am showering after a tough morning training session.

I got a little bit too rough with some of my head warriors, but they could take it. There was nothing like a good sparring session to keep my wolf at bay.

“Nate?” I grant him access to my mind-link.

“We’ve just heard from the Blue Moon Pack…” His voice shows signs of annoyance.

“Spit it out!” I order as I reach for the showergel and lather it up on my chest.

“They’ve joined the Silver Moon alliance…”

“Fuck!” I cut the link with my beta, this fucking asshole Silver Moon asshole! I squeeze the showergel bottle in my hands, flattening it out from pure anger.

This has gone far enough now….what did this Silver Moon alpha have on these packs?

I cut the shower, my short lived tense-free wolf now raging again. I step out of the shower and wrap a towel around my torso, heading into my main bedroom…fuck’s sake.

“Not now Vicky.” I groan as I find her sitting on the edge of my bed.

“I was just checking if there was any news from the Blue Moon pack?” She asks eyeing up my muscular chest and torso, her eyes flashing to that of her wolf.

I’ve made it very clear on numerous occasions that these were my rooms and she wasn’t sharing them, not like when were younger.

“They’re out!” I seethe as I run my hands through my wet hair.

“Things have gone far enough now Reuben, we need to do something.”

“I will!” I retort back, annoyed at her attitude.

“What are you going to do?”

“I’m going to scout them out…”

“Alone?” She looks at me with concern in her eyes!

“If I take my men it could be misconstrued as an aggressive move. I just want to fact find at the moment.”

“I can come with you?” She offers, her lips licking as they dip down to my muscular stomach.

“No. I’ll go in wolf form.”

“Fine…” She huffs.

“I’ll help manage the pack.”

“Vicky, you are not the Luna. Nate can manage quite well while I’m away.” I roll my eyes as I walk

to my built-in wardrobe and grab a pair of boxer shorts.

Her hands wrap around my chest from behind, her long nails slightly digging into my skin Her hands snake down my six pack and she stops at the secured towel, slowly releasing it

“I could be your Luna?” She kisses my back as her hands trace around my lower core.

Her tongue licks the outline of my back tattoo, black angel wings with my mother’s name inked at the bottom.

There would have been a time I would have been already hard for her, but now… now…I can’t get Evelyn out of my head.

I can’t seem to be with anyone, every time I fucking try she enters my head. I was losing it, I really was…mental images of my dead wife from four years ago. No wonder the Silver Moon Alpha was chipping away at my sides. I was becoming fucking weak!

She starts to pump my shaft and I have to bite down on my bottom lip to stop my moan, it had been so long since someone else has touched me and fuck did it feel good.

“Hmm I could just bite you, one little bite and I’ll be your luna?” She tiptoes up to try and reach my neck but I am far too tall for her.

In failing to reach me, she turns me and bends down on to her knees.

She’d gladly take my whole dick in her mouth and pump it dry, like she used to….but I don’t crave her like I once did, and I think she knows.

Her influence on me isn’t as strong now, and the way she behaves to my pack members reminds me of my father’s old techniques.

But she is here and I do need to start considering the pack’s future. I do need to consider children and Vicky would be the obvious choice.

Fuck! I need to get Evelyn out of my head once and for all.

Unless….maybe I find someone that has a similar temperament to Evelyn, a female that the pack would respect.

“Another time perhaps, I’ve got to get going.” I take a step back and pull my boxer shorts on, keen to distance my naked lower core from her now grinding teeth. 1

I decided not to inform the Silver Moon pack of my visit prior to leaving. They didn’t need notice to find an excuse not to see me. It would make a very poor alpha to reject an on the cuff meeting with an alpha looking to join their alliance, especially on their grounds.

The pack had a high security detail that much was clear as I drove up to the main gate entrance.

“May I help you?” A male crouches down to look at me through my red sports car’s window.

I knew what I was doing. This was my smoke screen trick. They’ll think I am too arrogant to come back later on foot, they’ll see the red car drive off into the distance and believe I am gone.

I remove my sunglasses to look this wolf in the eyes.

He was a strong wolf, too strong to be a mere guard… he must be of warrior level. A good trick, I like

“I’m here to see the Alpha.”

“And you are?” He looks on the length of my car, sizing me up.

“An alpha here to discuss joining the alliance!” I respond playing down my title.

“Alpha…?” He wants to know my name.

“I was guaranteed my visit would remain anonymous for now, you understand?”

“Yes of course Alpha…are we expecting you?”

“No, I was just passing through. Thought I would put a face to a name.”

“The Alpha isn’t available right now.”

“I can wait.” I respond releasing some of my aura but keeping most of it back as not to reveal my true identity.

“Look, I’m not a threat to your alpha.” Not yet anyway.

“I’m alone and just passing through. I thought it would be rude to not introduce myself especially when I am so close. Your Alpha isn’t rude, is he?” I smirk, putting the wolf in a difficult scenario.

“I’ll give you a tour, but like I said…”

“Your alpha isn’t available.”

He hops into the passenger seat and waves his hand at his guards to open the gates.

Things seem a lot different since I was last here. Devastation was clear on my past visit and a fire had burnt down the alpha home…but from the building I could see in the distance it had been

rebuilt.

“What’s your name?”

“Donnie Alpha.”

“And your position? You’re too strong for a guard.” I smirk as I give him a side glance.

“One of the Head Warriors Sir.” He responds with a chuckle.

One of how many I wonder.

I pull up outside the alpha house where Donnie hops out of the car and informs me that he has announced my arrival to the alpha and beta.

I also exit my car and take a seat on the bonnet, taking an opportunity to cast my eye on the obvious intel on the pack.

The warrior remains with me, watching me for hidden clues on my alpha identity. His wolf will feel as if I am masking something, he is right…my full aura.

“Donnie?” A young blonde hair boy walks out of the alpha house front door and picks up a handful of pebbles from the courtyard.

“Hey kiddo, what’s going on?” Donnie responds to the child that has peaked my wolf’s interest.

“Who’s this?” I call out to the warrior.

“I’m Rex Who are you?” He boldly walks up to me as he throws small pebbles across the courtyard.

“I’m an alpha!” I look down at him, he looks familiar. Maybe I’ve met his father already.

“You are?” His eyes light up as he looks up at me.

“Which pack?”

“Oh you wouldn’t have heard of it.” I wave my hand to brush away the topic but notice the keen eyes of Nate still watching me.

“How many are in your pack?” The questions start and I chuckle at his enthusiasm to know as much about me as possible. 1

He reminds me a little bit of myself when I was little, but he looks well looked after, loved! Not like me, not after the death of my mother.

“You’re very keen to know all things alpha, are you a warrior’s son?”

“I am the son of the Alpha!” Rex answers puffing out chest.

“I’m going to be the Alpha of the Silver Moon pack one day.” Rex proudly claims and all I can do is chuckle at his not even hidden confidence.

“I don’t doubt it!” I take a step towards him and mess up his hair. Suddenly a small breeze passes my face and I catch a scent I on it, a scent that starts to confuse my wolf.
