The Last Royal Luna

Everyone surrounds us as I drag Josiah’s wolf farther away from the house. I let go and step back if you paces staring at him before I growl letting him know that I was done with his crap. He snapped back at me in anger and I heard my mother gasp. I looked over toward her and realized that Andrew and Richard had taken a step in front of them to protect them and they had no idea how thankful I was for that. I also noticed that Richard had made himself push away from the circle to guard the back of it and I knew then that these three were to be trusted. Once I took Josiah out I was going to have to take out Andrew’s father if he couldn’t do it himself.

Josiah and I started circling each other and I waited while I analyzed his flaws and any pain he was in so I can expose it and use it against him. He got frustrated with waiting and attacked using his anger to fuel his movements. It was a feeble attempt because I saw where he was going and what he was planning so I was able to jump out of the way. I turned around quickly and faced him with a smile on my face. Blue was having a blast and was ready for the kill. Josiah shook his head and charged at me again going for my neck so I slid under him and twisted my body so my claws would cut into his stomach. He howled in pain as he fell forward. I rolled to a stop and stood to stare at him. Blue wanted to drag every minute out so he felt all the pain. I didn’t and we were short on time. We needed to end this before Andrew’s father made an appearance.

Josiah stood up and moved to run toward me again and it pissed me off that he was able to control two packs with such crappy fighting skills. I snapped and bared my teeth at Josiah as I ran to meet him head on. He kept aiming for my neck and I started aiming for his legs. If those are broke he has nowhere to run to and I was ending him today. I got ahold of his left front leg and snapped it back far enough so that you could hear the bone snap. Josiah howled in pain and back away to regroup. Blue smiled at him with eyes filled full of anger and promises of death. She was getting all worked up and I loved feeling her power. Josiah was bleeding from his leg and his stomach but not fast enough to bleed out soon.

‘Once I kill Alpha Josiah his two packs become mine! We will learn to fight together and learn the secrets of the past so we can defeat the Vampire and Witches to take back what is rightfully ours!’ I mind linked the wolves around us and waited for their response. I had no idea of they even wanted to fix what had happened almost 18 years ago. I knew as a wolf and a daughter I had revenge on my mind and hope that others did as well. A single howl startled me and soon they all joined in. I could feel the smile Blue had on her face and I could feel the relief speeding through me. I looked at the Alpha laying on the ground and shook my head. I surged forward grabbing his throat in between my teeth and biting down. I could feel my teeth ripping thru his throat and taste the coppery b***d. It didn’t take long for his last breath to fall and I was able to let go of him. I howled into the sky feeling sorry a wolf had to die to day but in the end it would end up saving more wolf lives.

It was only silent for a few seconds before wolves started howling and some started whimpering. The ones who started to whimper I may need to see about where their loyalties lie. I looked over at my family and trotted over to them. My mother crotched down and hugged me hard. She made sure to let me know how mad she was at me for fighting but how proud she was of me for winning. Blue whined and licked her cheek. I turned when I heard footsteps behind me and saw Andrew standing there holding his shirt out. I grabbed it with my teeth and went behind a tree to shift back. I looked over my body and saw a few cuts and bruises but nothing that would have lasting problems, so I put his shirt on and went back over to everyone.

“Ok so now that the fight is over it is time for the work to begin. I need to find out who is loyal to the royals and the werewolf kind instead of just survival or it being and a end game of riches or power. Andrew, are you loyal to your kind or yourself?” I waited until he looked me in the eye and I waited for his answer. He may have been my bully in high school and seeing how he was because I was human was kind of crappy, but he seems to treat all wolves with respect. I need him on my side so I can get to his dad and his pack to start training. This alpha was a weak one and no vampires or witches would be the same.

“I am loyal to werewolves and to you.” He got on one knee and looked up at me, “after everything today and the truths you have spoken I am ready to fight by your side to win back our lands and our freedom. My father is loyal to himself and I know that we will have to fight him for my pack but I am willing to do that to protect them and you.”

“I am sorry your father is like that. No one’s parents should be so selfish. We may have been enemies in school but that changes now. I need a head soldier who commands respect and can train others. I want to see your pack lands, your warriors, and how well you fight. Please stand up and let us get everyone back to their homes to get this mess cleaned up. I will come to your pack lands tomorrow. Don’t tell you dad. I would like to surprise him so I can see the truth.” Andrew stood and nodded before heading over to his beta and gamma to relay the message and get it done.

“Ryder… I have to tell you something about royals when we are done. I should of told you long ago but I figured I had more time before you found your mate.” My mother put her hand on my shoulder I looked at her confused.

“Mate? I haven’t found him or her yet. My wolf will let me know and I won’t be able to resist them. At this point everyone is resistible!” We both laughed and she shook her head after. I guess we will have a talk at dinner tonight, so I invited my friends to eat dinner with us and help make some plans.

“Ryder make sure to invite Andrew and his friends to dinner as well. The talk will involve them and it should be done quickly.”

I just shook my head yes and headed over to them to let him know about the invite. I have no idea what’s going on because none of these men are my mate. I don’t smell any special smell on them and I would rather walk thru glass than k**s any of them! Yuck! I may have some respect growing for Andrew but on the romantic level he is as attractive as snot colored slime.

“Hey Andrew before you leave with your pack my mother wants to invite you, your beta, and your gamma to dinner tonight. She has some things to discuss about the royals and it seems like a good time to get some ideas rolling on how to train and to get to the other packs. My friends will be coming as well.” The three of them had stopped and were now looking at each other a little bit weary. Heck I would be too after all they had done to me. My parents would want b***d if they actually knew what I had to deal with the last few years just from these three.

“Are you sure that is ok? I know we were shitty human beings to you and I am sorry for that. I know this still makes me sound shitty but if we knew you were a wolf it would have been different,” Blake said as he hung his head.

“Yeah, it doesn’t make it sound any better. There is nothing wrong with being human and sometimes I get jealous that they have these normal lives while we will always have more wars, more lives lost, and more drama than they will. But it is ok. My mother told me to ask you so none of us have a choice. I really don’t’ want to have to hunt you down!” I put my hand on his shoulder and smiled evilly. They all laughed and agreed to make it.

“Ok, we are taking our pack back. The other packs are taking the body to be burned and to let everyone know what happened. They want to know who will lead them now?” Andrew asked as he saw a few of them walked towards us.

“Depending on where they are located and how many in each pack I will make a decision within the next few days. Tomorrow I have some things to do,” I looked at Andrew and he nodded his head,” but after that I will visit and we will go from there. Please take care of each other and if anything happens, please let me know. I will always protect you.” The last part I made sure to be loud enough they all heard me and I put all the honesty in the world in it hoping they caught on that I was being sincere.
