The Last Royal Luna

(Book 3) – Chapter 52

“One more try, ladies.” The head witch shouted as they blasted the door with the full force of their power and the earths.

“Edgar, to your left!” Koda yelled as he took down a vampire behind us.

Edgar reached out his hand going through the witch’s chest and ripped her heart out. Holy hell if we were in the middle of a battle I might just jumped him. That heat suppressing spell might be working on most symptoms but I can feel myself needing all of them as soon as possible. Blue was all for it but was keeping her mind on winning back our kingdom.

“Shii…” One of the witches yelled as they flew backwards into us. “Spells down but so is our power level.”

I had the guys help her out while I sent a link to a few wolves to see who had an opening to run to us and take the witches out of here. Gregory and a few of his pack wolves made it to us immediately. They looked banged up so them taking the rest to get the witches out of here and heal up a bit. Now it was time to end this.

We ran up and burst through the door. We ended up in a big hall with several doors on each side and stairs in front of us. I tried to search out bad aura’s but it was all scared, innocent ones in every room. They must have planned for this, which was smart on their part because now we would have to split up.

“Ok, what now?” I asked them.

“Let’s split into groups two groups and clear all the doors in this room.” Mel stated as her and Alistair caught up with us.

“I agree.” My mom huffed as she ran in. “A big thank you to Koda for leaving me with a dimwit warrior and his equally stupid friend.”

“Damnit Koda.” I looked at him. He shrugged and mouthed out sorry. “I think we should do three groups. One to each side and one to stay and guard the door. We don’t need any surprises every time we leave a room we just cleared.”

“I agree.” Asher said as he scooted closer to my side. “I am sticking with Ryder. No one is going to touch her.”

I shoved him back. “Don’t suck up now mister. You are still in deep doo-doo just like the rest of them.”

“Come on!” He sounded annoyed but I didn’t care, I just focused back on the group.

“Ok so we have two witches and the rest of us are wolves minus our hybrid.” I started to say.

“How about you add three vampires to that list?” Tyler shouted, running in with two of his clan’s warriors. “I couldn’t just sit anymore, and Kailey was getting annoying with her complaining about us not fixing Heath instantly.”

“Glad you made it here safely. Let’s do this.” I nodded at the guys, and everyone split up.

I ended up with Tyler, Asher, Edgar, and Mom going with me to the left side of the room. Alistair, Mel, Knox, Kane, and one of the vampire warriors went to the right. The rest of my mates and the vampire warrior stayed watching all the doors.

The first door only had a few slaves sitting on the floor watching us and jumping as we stepped closer. They were more scared of me and my mates than anyone so I had mom talk with them as we checked over the whole room. No one jumped out at us so I called that a win.

The next room had a few slave girls being held against three of the ugliest warriors I had ever seen. They were all wolves but the three slave girls were some of the weakest I had ever seen. I sniffed the room and zeroed in on them when I noticed a smell of silver.

‘They are dosing the slaves with silver. At least the wolves to keep them weak and docile.’ I linked everyone. I needed them to know why they seemed so weak and that they needed immediate medical attention.

Mom focused on spelling the girls to relax while Edgar and Asher ran at the wolves. Tyler waited until they separated and rushed at the one in the middle decapitating him without a sweat. Dang he was fast and strong.

“You guys are letting me have any fun!” I whined as Edgar walked the girls out toward the middle room.

“Oh, daughter of mine!” My mother laughed before magically sealing that room off. No one else would be able to hid in there from us.

“I know. Rest up to take out the main players.” I replied but Blue knew my true feelings. I wanted revenge for every death, injury, and emotional pain these fuckers ever caused.

The next few rooms were the same on both sides of the rooms. The group watching the doors were now also keeping watching on the slaves and healing them as best they can. I hoped that none had lasting pain other than any emotional trauma.

“All the rooms are cleared. We took out about thirty warriors.” Kane bragged as we all met back by the stairs.

“So did we!” Asher replied sticking his tongue out.

“Boys, do you need to be put in a time out?” Mom asked giving them the mom glare.

I just ignored it and went to the bottom of the stairs and looked up. There was one set of doors and they were huge. The room was silent but the aura’s I was feeling were full of pain, fear, shame, and sadness. There were so many aura’s I couldn’t keep my focus for long before I was overcome with their feelings.

“Ready to end this, my love? Edgar asked walking up next to me.

“Yes.” I replied.

“We have wolves coming in to take the hurt to our meeting spot. We have the fight outside almost over with us winning.” Andrew stated walking up behind us. “Now we can just focus on finishing this up. How many are in there?”

“Too many. We will need all the help we can.” I told them. “Not with fighting because most of them are slaves. Some may fight out of fear or shame but no need to hurt them. I just need them out of the way to take on the real threat.

I searched out around the castle and only saw about twenty aura’s that showed evil. There were so many dead on both sides just laying in piles on the ground. The Earth had no more room to take bodies and was so full of power the trees were growing as a faster rate. I looked around the room and saw so many wolves that were tired and I knew I had to help. I turned and walked out the double doors. I pulled power from the earth which helped both of us and focused on the black aura’s before shoving power into them at super-fast rate. Sounds of agony began but ended quickly. The deaths were quick but still pulled on my soul a bit. I bet my aura had some black after all the deaths I had caused but I refused to look at it. I couldn’t bear it.

“Ryder, was that you?” Mel asked walking up to me.

“Yea with some help from the earth. Now we can focus on the end game. No more distractions.” I gave her a small smile and walked back in with everyone looking at me. I would handle any fall out later.

“Everyone get ready.” I instructed our ever growing group. “The slaves are not to be harmed unless it is to keep yourself safe from their attacks. They are not all there right now so just try to go easy. I don’t know what all we will face in there but we face it together. Stay strong, stay focused, and be ready for anything. Help where you can. This ends today and hopefully with little to no deaths on our side.”

“Our Queen is right!” Koda yelled grabbing my hand. “She is an amazing Queen and has led us in this war with no holds bar even if it resulted in her death. She believes in you and so do your kings.”

There was a small shout of encouragement from the group. The people behind the doors already knew we were coming from the shifting positions that kept happening. I just had to hope the King and Queen weren’t able to pull a disappearing act.
