“I knew you would come,” Natalie said smirking. “Now I believe the note mentioned being ready to die. Are you?”

They had finally walked their way up to us and stopped with enough distance they could run if they needed to. I knew they were cowards but that made me question why they would be the ones they sent. Had they done something big to earn their trust? Have they actually figured out how to fight for themselves?

“I told you all before that you needed to die.” Alpha Derrick laughed. “I know we are only supposed to kill the b***h, but I think a few missing limbs will be ok.”

The guy standing next to Derrick just laughed and looked smug. “I get the pretty boy twins in the back.” He made a kissy face at them.

The twins looked at each other and grinned. “We would love to take you on.” Knox winked back at him. “But we would have to have to kill Natalie’s b***h boy.”

I looked at the guys and asked what the heck they were talking about. They both laughed and reminded me of the photo the warrior we had trailing Natalie had shown us. It took a second before I realized the guy she was meeting with was that guy. He was an Alphas son and since was here with Derrick I bet he is the child of the asshat.

“Brody won’t lose if he knows what is good for him.” Derrick growled.

“Ok no more banter, geez.” Natalie sounded a bit irritated. “Let’s get his over with so I can get back to taking care of my new twin babies.” She smiled at me and all I saw was red.

Asher grabbed on to me and kissed my neck. “Ignore that worthless b***h. No one would give her kids much less a f*****g puppy to take care of.”

“Exactly. Let’s just get this over with.” Kane yelled clenching his fists. “Where is our dad?”

‘Melissa may not be the one to kill her. I want her b***d spraying on my fur.’ Blue was enraged and it took all I had to keep her calm.

‘She seems to know the twins…do you think she had something to do with the twins and Mel’s baby girl getting taken?’ I asked her. She nodded.

Derrick laughed and told us he was with the twins saying his last goodbyes. Once I was dead the twins would be taken to their new home, the guys remated, and Jared would be helping run the kingdom as a slave. Each of the guys growled but Melissa actually giggled. We all turned to her in shock.

“Sorry, I just…” Melissa said barely able to form words over her laughter. “Her…kids…Remember the babysitting job she had…”

“Oh, s**t. Yes.” I said before explaining the story to the guys. “She was babysitting a friends two kids, aged nine and eleven, brought her boyfriend over, and somehow knocked a candle over. They ran out and had to be reminded there were kids inside. The kids got themselves out and the parents were pissed.”

Brody seemed to look at Natalie with a big of disgust but didn’t take his arm from off her h*p. It was his choice to stay with a self-absorbed b***h. I can’t believe we were friends with her and put up with her s**t for so long just for this to happen.

“Shut the f**k up.” Natalie yelled. “I wouldn’t forget my twins. They mean to much to me. They already know me.”

“How did you do it?” I asked with a calm and quiet voice. No reason to act crazy just yet.

“How did you get to the kids when everyone knew you were banished?” Blue was pacing back and forth in my mind ready to pounce.

All three of them laughed at my question. “It wasn’t hard. I got a few guards to think you forgave me and a few more to believe they would be rewarded for helping us get the kids to safety. We just had to wait for the right time.”

Melisse ren forwerd yelling e spell with Alisteir right on her teil. The twins ren for Brody with the biggest smiles on their feces. I steyed still with the others weiting for Derrick to run et us.

A few werriors hed gotten free, so Kode, Andrew, end Bleke ren et them. Asher end Edger steyed by me until Derrick ren towerd us. They ren towerd him. They told him he would never touch e heir on my heed. He mede some threets but I knew they were empty.

‘Roger, Julien there ere more coming.’ I linked them. ‘Are eny of our ellies close?’

‘We know. A few heve mede it to us.’ He linked. I could feel his enger but elso his pein from his wounds. ‘My werriors ere close but not close enough unless we get help soon.’

“And the right time was when I got Samuel and several of his strongest warriors to chase me and my guys away.” Brody laughed.

“It helped that I knew one of the witches on the pack lands and had found where her family was located.” Derrick sneered.

I wasn’t going to last much longer with these three still breathing. “Anything else we need to know before we take them out?”

Derrick growled and took a step toward us. “What are you talking about? They are in the woods waiting to attack. I never planned on any of you leaving here alive.”

“Well, we must think a bit alike.” I told him returning a growl. He stepped back in fear. “None of you will leave here alive. We only need a few survivors to get what I want and none of them have to be you.”

Natalie stomped her foot and screamed. “Where are my warriors?”

“A bit tied up in the trees from what I hear.” I snorted. “See one of my nifty little powers is having control of nature and I just realized we can communicate. Mother earth thinks you’re a raging b***h and decided to give a girl a hand. Now its just you three and all of us. There is no…way….out….”

Melissa ran forward yelling a spell with Alistair right on her tail. The twins ran for Brody with the biggest smiles on their faces. I stayed still with the others waiting for Derrick to run at us.

A few warriors had gotten free, so Koda, Andrew, and Blake ran at them. Asher and Edgar stayed by me until Derrick ran toward us. They ran toward him. They told him he would never touch a hair on my head. He made some threats but I knew they were empty.

“You are much stronger than your mother was.” A woman said coming out of the shadows.

“What the..” I said stepping back from her. “Where did you come from?”

She laughed a big, belly laugh. “I have been here the whole time. The queen knew this group of losers wouldn’t be able to get the job done so she sent me in.”

f**k, she was with the enemy. Did she fight my mother before? What was she? I could see her aura. It wasn’t completely dark but had a blueish hue around it the black and red.

“Wondering what I am?” She asked. “I don’t have all day so Ill tell you. I am the witch that helped kill your parents.”

She jumped at me. I dodged her tripping over my feet and rolling back to my feet. She had gotten turned around and went for me again. She started to move her mouth, so I knew a spell was coming my way. I pushed for the grass to grab her but the pieces that were able to instantly be turned black from dying.

She laughed like a maniac and continued to follow me. “We have others coming. It is time to end this. The queen has her children and all I need for my freedom is your death.”

‘Roger, Julian there are more coming.’ I linked them. ‘Are any of our allies close?’

‘We know. A few have made it to us.’ He linked. I could feel his anger but also his pain from his wounds. ‘My warriors are close but not close enough unless we get help soon.’

‘Same as Rogers pack for us.’ Julian replied in our link.

I kept running from the witch and dodged a few fire balls. Her smile grew bigger the more I ran. I pulled my power to my chest and pushed it toward her burning the skin on her arm. She didn’t cry or make any noise from the pain. I was going to have to fight her and use my powers.

“No one touches my daughter, you ugly hag.” My mother screamed running out from behind the tree and tackling the witch.

“Wait, Mom..” I tried to stop her but I wasn’t fast enough.

Once mom tackled her all I saw was them rolling around n the ground flipping over and over to change who had the upper hand. Mom was a pretty decent fighter and a mean right hook. The mysterious bad witch was fast and kept going for the ribs.

“Get out of here, Ryder.” My dad said walking up to me. “Your mother and I have this. “I heard a few more men in the woods then I had before. I need you safe.”

I hugged him and ran back toward where my mates were fighting. I linked the allies we had to see where they were and one was a few minutes out. We just had to keep holding on. I linked the ones we had here fighting with us and they understood and held their ground even harder.

The earth sent a message of them being tired. I pleaded with them to hold on. I didn’t know what we were going to do without their help. I was trying to figure out a plan when I made it back to where my mates were.

As soon as I had everyone in my sight, I saw Melissa summon a huge blade and shove it into Natalie’s stomach. Melissa was saying something to her but I just watched the light drain from Natalie’s eyes. She deserved everything she got. It was hard for me to hold back my rage when she spoke of my twins, but I knew that Melissa had called dibs and all of this just needed to be over.

The twins were still playing with Brody and he was pleading he would spill everything if he could live. Bingo. He is what we need.

‘Let the coward live but have enough injuries not to run or fight. We have more of their troops headed here.’ I linked the twins. They nodded before knocking Brody out.

Derrick was holding his own against Asher and Edgar but wasn’t going to make it much farther. Some of his veins were black and he had black b***d on his wounds so I knew he had taken to the black arts. Poor guy.

“I wish you would die already.” Asher told Derrick before swiping his claws against his chest opening another wound. “I have s**t to do.”

Derrick laughed b***d coming out of his mouth. “Your mate is going to die by my hand…just like mine did…”

He killed his mate. She was the only good thing he had around him. She didn’t stand in his way last time nor did she help. She already looked in pain but I didn’t think he would kill his mate.

I looked at Edgar and his eyes caught mine. He must of noticed my rage before he sent his hand through Derricks chest and ripped his heart out. I wanted to run over there and kick his corpse but the next wave of the enemy came through. f**k.

‘What do we do?’ I linked the guys.

‘My pack is here. Get ready for a big win.’ Koda smiled and jumped before shifting. He attacked two wolves at once.

‘Ready Blue?’

She just smiled and we shifted. She pushed her alpha and royal powers forward and howled. Our allies and our families howled back. The Earth sent a howl to me and I sent them some of my powers before using some to kill the enemy instantly by them getting a bit overheated.
