The Last Royal Luna

(Book 3) – Chapter 24

“I knew they would send their b***h to handle me. Pathetic,” Richard sneered as he stood with his arms crossed and back ramrod straight. “It doesn’t matter if you take the pig out of the barn they will always be shit.”

He looked different from when he ran off like a coward and it wasn’t an improvement. The first thing I noticed was all the black veins popping out of his skin making him look like some monster freaks creation. He was taller, had a bigger build, and had a black aura. He had turned dark and was loving it. You could smell the death, decay, and black magic wafting off of him and the others he brought with him.

“What? Witch got your tongue?” He laughed at his joke. He was the only one. The few warriors who were with me rolled their eyes at his stupid joke and others growled under their breath.

I walked until I was right at the perimeter line and just outside the gate. “The jokes haven’t gotten any better, I see. Nor has the company you keep. Two of my mates being the exception.” His lips thinned and I could feel the weight of his hate in his gaze. The people with him stood so still you would think them statues or the walking dead, but their chests rose as they took a breath and their eyes glared at me.

“I had really hoped that after they got screwing you out of their system they would reject you and move on but I didn’t count on them both being so stupid. I guess that once I kill you I’m going to have to kill them and I haven’t quite decided if I’m going to do it quickly or draw it out just so they know how hurt I was when I had to leave them here.” Richard mused as he looked at each of the Warriors before landing on Edgar and Koda who had shifted back and put clothes on in order to join me. “ I’m guessing these two are some more of your mates you wolf slut*. don’t worry boys I’ll also be killing you but because I don’t know you and I don’t care anything about you I’ll make it quick.”

I g*****d and total annoyance at his long-winded and boring speech. “Listen, I have so many better things to do than deal with this. One of them is even stabbing myself repeatedly because I would actually feel something then. How about you go ahead and challenge me so we can get the ball rolling. I should warn you though…”

“Warn me about what? how you’re trying to keep this conversation going because you’re a scared little girl. I already knew that.” Richard interrupted with a laugh. two of the ugliest witches I have ever seen left behind him like he was the funniest guy around.

‘I linked Sandra and the rest of our family to let them know what needed to be done and what had happened so far. and Drew and Blake are headed this way. I would hurry this conversation up and figure out who will be your Warrior before they get here to rip his throat out. I wouldn’t mind seeing that but I don’t think it’s in the laws.’ Edgar linked. I could feel upset he was that no b***d would be spilled just yet and blue agreed with that feeling.

“Richard, you suck big donkey balls but, in all fairness, we did find a law that states if an alpha doesn’t have a pack or has a small pack along with a few other stipulations that really hits home with you that he has to beat My Chosen Warrior and a fight. it’s not to the death but it’s to prove you’re worthy to battle me and to die by my hand or paw depending upon how blue feels.” He looked shocked when I told him this tidbit of information and it definitely made my day.

I heard paws hitting the ground behind us and knew our time was up. must have heard as well because they tensed up and we’re ready to tackle my other two mates so they wouldn’t rip Richard to pieces. I had a feeling that this was more of a distraction and my thoughts were on the children in the pack. not the adult children like most of my mates but the actual children because we still didn’t know what child they wanted or if they just wanted all of our children.

‘Listen I need you all to make sure that my children and Alistair’s daughter are especially protected right now. I have this gut feeling with two different groups going toward both gates that they are trying to keep us busy for a reason. also make sure that every child is somewhere safe with more than just their parents watching out for them.’ I linked Sandra and a few of the other leaders while watching my mates shift back and get dressed.

“You’re a dead fucker. The crap you pulled. The s**t your parents pulled. I warned you and you didn’t listen,” Andrew yelled before he took a running leap at Richard.

Koda caught him and pulled him back, blocking him from attacking again. Andrew got a few good hits in on Koda but stopped when he saw how it was paining me. I barely saw Blake running at Richard while I was seeing if I needed to intervene with Koda and Andrew. Thank the goddess, Edgar is quick. He clotheslined Blake causing him to fall on his a*s. Edgar sat on him and held on while Blake fought as hard as he could. He only stopped when Andrew yelled that he was hurting me.

Richard started laughing with his cronies following after him. I looked back at him and all I saw was red. Richard just had his life saved by two people who had heard all about him and wanted to see his b***d spill but he only focused on my mates loving me.

“I feel so sorry for your mate if you even have one. You are NOT a catch,” I growled turning back toward Richard.

‘Alistair have the top five warriors who you think are well rounded, ready for me to talk to. I need to pick something of a champion to fight Richard.’ I linked him while Richard kept up his crazy laughter. i***t.

‘I will do it. I would love to level Richard,’ Alistair linked back. I knew he would suggest himself but I couldn’t do that.

‘No, I can’t use family or my mates. You, Melissa, and the baby are part of my family and we must keep you safe. I will explain more after we get Richard settled in a cell.’

“I don’t need no b***h trying to tell me what to do. I rejected my waste of a mate,” He smiled like he was remembering when he did it. “Now how about you move to the side and let the real wolves go inside to make themselves at home.”

I looked at the ground and counted back from ten. It was the only way I was going to keep myself from leaping toward him and breaking his face. The guys moved closer unsure of what would happen but would have my back regardless. A guy who could reject his mate should be killed and Blue was howling inside to be let out. I had to keep pushing her furry booty back.

“Richard, if I were you id keep my big mouth shut. You did your mate a favor and I thank you for that.” I smirked when he growled. “Now I have some things to do in order to get ready so we will walk you to one of our cells now.”

He sputtered and started looking at all of us with big eyes. “My pack and I won’t be staying in the cells. We are honored guests being as I am an Alpha now. We will take a cabin or two and give you a few hours to pick a wolf I am going to beat within an inch of their lives.” I heard a chorus of agreement from his so-called pack. “Now move aside so I can give a tour of what a weak pack I came from.”

I shook my head with a small laugh. “Nice try but that privilege is for invited guests and you were banned. We were suppose to execute you on site but since you challenged me I will wait till then to tear you limb from limb.”

“I am not going anywhere without them and we are all going to be on your pack lands in just a few minutes regardless.” Richard took a few steps forward.

Blue shoved forward my eyes blazing purple and yelled, “STOP. I AM IN CHARGE AND YOU WON’T TAKE ANOTHER STEP FORWARD.” Richard stopped in his tracks and looked like he was trying to fight it but couldn’t. “YOUR SO CALLED PACK IS NOT ALLOWED ON OUR LANDS AND IF THEY TRY TO TAKE ANOTHER STEP FORWARD I WILL KILL THEM.”

“f**k you, dog. Ill break your control and take over this pack!” Richard yelled.

His packmates didn’t all walk but ran toward the gate. Blue meant what she said and she drained them of their b***d so fast they all fell down dead within seconds. The ground was soaking up their essence and we could feel its thanks.

“I meant what I said. Koda and Edgar take him to the cells.” I turned and walked back toward the front gate. “Andrew and Blake, you left the basement when I told you to stay. You are both in trouble, but we will deal with it later. Start a perimeter check outside the walls. I don’t trust anyone who came today.”
