The Last Royal Luna

Melissa and I waited outside by the cars with Blake while my other mates went to see when their shift with the Luna was. We were silent as we both tried to figure out how we felt about what happened and what plans to make for the next few days. I knew Melissa and Alistair still needed to leave tonight to head to the coven and I also knew they were going to fight me on it. I had a feeling after the meeting tomorrow most of us would be at a hotel waiting to hear what happened at the coven.

“Ok so the schedule is situated. I am going to take the early morning shift so I can do a run around the pack before bed to find any weaknesses or private meetings.” Alistair nodded at us before grabbing Melissa’s bat out of the car.

“Wait. Stop.” Everyone looked at me. “No reason to unpack. You and Melissa are leaving for the coven in just a few minutes. Please call them and let them know.” I set my face to stone because I knew if I let any emotions out they would be pushing to stay here.

“Hell no. We are staying right here. That b***h Luna could try anything!” Melissa walked up to me and pointed into my chest.

“So your saying my mates can’t take care of me?” I lifted my eyebrow waiting for her reaction.

“s**t no. That isn’t what I am saying. I can’t just leave you.” She stomped her foot and look at Alistair.

“Melissa, Ryder is in good hands, and she is a very capable leader. We will keep in contact with her all the time, and it will only be for a few days. No one is going to get anything over on her.” I nodded at them before giving them both a hug and leaning into Blake as we left to go to the cabin.

I did not sleep well that night. Between my mates getting in and out of bed when switched who was one duty to watch the Luna, this nagging feeling in my gut that we weren’t safe there and knowing that we wouldn’t be getting the help from this pack no matter how things had gone earlier. I could tell by the way they take care of their selves and kids above the pack. I don’t know how he became so self-important or had he always been this way. I hoped t hat when his eldest son got here he would see it our way and even just his help would be great. Every wolf mattered in this war.

“Knock, Knock.” Knox rolled out of bed and dragged his sleepy body to the door to open it. It was the omega from last night with a big cannister of what I was hoping was piping hot coffee strong enough for me to grow chest hairs from.

“Hello, Omega. I am sorry I haven’t asked your name yet. Please tell me what it is? And please tell me that holds the strongest but tastiest coffee ever?” I smiled at her as I sat on the bed wrapped up in the sheet.

She blushed looking away from all of us which made the guys hurry to get dressed. “My name is Nina. Thank you for asking my name. No one does and no one really uses it.” I had to hold back some ranting on that information. “This is coffee and I have a cooler of water waiting in the fields. The Alpha was up all night and he is very angry so I figured you should avoid the house so I got everything ready for you to head to training.”

“You are amazing. Thank you so much! I am going to get changed before I chug down a huge portion of that.” I ran into the bathroom to change while she poured everyone a cup of coffee.

It seemed as though most of the pack had shown up and half of them were giving us dirty looks so someone must of told them what happened or at least their version of it. This means who ever I spar against is most likely going to have it out for me and I will be limping out of here but I need to make sure I kick some a*s.

Diamond was standing in the middle of a group of warriors fawning over their muscles and flirting. When she noticed us walking up she headed toward us or I should saw headed toward Asher. She was wearing a barely there work out bra and her a*s was eating her shorts they were so tiny. I may end up killing her today and I can tell Blue doesn’t care if we do.

“Hey, Baby!” She purred as she walked closer walking like s*x on a stick toward him. “Come to see what you have been missing out on? After I wipe the floor with the trash how about I show you some new moves I saved for you?” She went to put her hand on his chest but I grabbed her wrist and squeezed. We all heard her bones rubbing together so I knew it was painful.

“You touch what is mine again and I will end you. All these men with me are MINE! Only I touch!” Blue pushed forward and my eyes blazed purple.

“Let go of my wrist!” She yanked her wrist from me when I relieved the pressure. “He is only yours for now. He will be my Alpha and I his Luna.”

I lost it. I pulled my fist back and punched her right in her pig nose. She went flying back and landed on her a*s with her nose bleeding everywhere. I knew it was broken which made me even happier. I laughed at her as she started yelling at someone to help her and someone else to beat my a*s.

“I gave you more than enough warning. Try me again and I will break more than your nose!” I licked my teeth like a psycho which made her turn white. “Look at it this way I saved your daddy money on a nose job.”

I stood up and walked back to Asher letting him pull me into his body. I looked up to see him smiling with an evil glint in his eyes and I knew he was about to rock my world to lay claim to me like I did to him. The k**s started hard and demanding which thrilled Blue. We just hung on for dear life until some coughed behind us. We backed up and looked over at the Alpha and a man standing beside him both with upset faces.

“I understand you haven’t even been mated a year but let’s not entertain the whole pack, ok?” I think this Alpha wants to fight me. I am leaning toward giving him what he wants. “Now I heard there was al altercation with my daughter which she swears you started. Care to tell us what happened?”

“Depends on who ‘us’ is.” I snarled.

“Kitty has claws.” The mystery man chuckled. “I am his Beta Laxton. Nice to meet you Princess.”

“You, too. I wondered where the Beta was yesterday. I am glad you made it back during our visit.” I looked at the Alpha. “She looked and tried to touch what was mine. I gave her a way to back down last night and this morning. I acted like a mated female would.”

“Next time keep your hands to yourself.” He snarled.

“Teach your daughter she needs to do the same.” I looked at the pack before speaking. “Does she try to touch your mates?” Several women stepped forward nodding yes. I look at the Alpha disgusted. “Put your daughter in her place or I will. She is ruining your pack and your effectiveness as an Alpha. As well as your mate.”

“I will have a pack meeting to confirm all of this.” He starts to walk away but I add in that we will be at that meeting so plan it for after our meeting.

“Now who is training?” I saw a few of the elder warriors point to themselves so I apologize and ask them to start.
