The Hybrid Rogue

We walked up to greet the members of this clan would normally get outside vampires killed. Vlad had explained on the trip that he has a special power and was wondering if I had it too. I attempted to compell the vampires to show us respect as Vlad showed me. I was not sure if he was doing it, but the walk in was simple. All my life I avoided clans, now I'm walking right into the middle of one to get numbers for the war of all wars.

"My lord and wonderful guest, what a very unexpected surprise. Please, come." Said an older looking vampire woman towards Vlad and I.

As we followed her through a nicely lit house, if you call a building without windows a house, I noticed everyone seemed to have a sadness to them. There was more than to meet the eye. I saw a young sibling pair, barely ten years old, in shabby looking clothes hugging tightly among many other in similar situations. Vlad walked into an office but asked if I would stay and speak to some of the people.

I saw a young mother, clutching her baby tightly with dried trail of tears on her cheeks. "I'm sorry, can you tell me what happened?"

She looked at me and had a gentle smile. "We had hope to have the one they talked about that could help us. It's you. It has to be. The Hybrid. You're as beautiful as they said. I lost my mate and my two oldest children. He was a wolf. My two oldest were like their father. This little girl here is vampire, like me. That Luna runs a hunting group to rid of those she can that she finds as abominations. My mate had me run with the children, but I couldn't help my sons. They ran holding onto my dress and before I knew it, they were gone. I made it here and I have no clue the fate of my family. We all lost ones we love. Mates, parents, children, sisters, brothers, family. It has been bad like this since she married the alpha."

"I am lost for words. Wait, you heard I would help you? By whom?" I really am unsure. The only vampires I've really had to encounter was Henry's clan. I killed many but did save many that were slaved by them.

"Well, we had a few clan members return after being enslaved, they spoke of you. Though, it wasn't them who said you would help us. They told us you would come. In our dreams. Mainly a woman in black. She was beautiful. She said you would come with her beloved by your side and fix things for us all. You would unite us once again, but for the world. You can help us right?" With her words it was quite and every eye in the room was on me. Thats when I felt tiny hands of the boy and girl from before grabbing a hand of mine each.

"Maya is a bully. We have another war as well to work on, but I can't just sit by and allow this treatment. I don't know yet on how I will do this, but I will try to fix this here for your clan and families. I too am missing my mate. Its a huge war to come and I pledge to get him to return to me." I say to the crowd.

"Very well said. Lord Vlad was just saying how noble you are to help. The woman who told us, as I told my lord here, I believe may help. I believe she is his beloved. We all believed her to be gone forever, but maybe she found a way to communicate now." The voice belonged to a well kept man with Vlad next to him. As soon as everyone noticed Vlad, they bowed their heads to him. Not all clans saw Vlad like this and the charm magic didn't always work as well.

"Az, can we speak please." Vlad said aloud. I followed him alone to what must have been the clan leader's office.

"Vlad, it will take longer, but we need to help them. I know we have our own fight, but I feel a pull to help here. I need to stop Maya even if it means breaking treaties with Tank." I looked at the ground. I didn't want to start more wars for a pack I barely knew yet.

"I was going to say the same thing. You need to be the one to unite the different breeds. This is only one fight, not the one that will do that for all, but its a step to what the world needs. My brother and I created this madness. We can only help you try to stop it." He had so much sadness in his eyes.

"The United Kingdom? The one to rule over all? What you and Lycious spoke about? This is the direction we are going, isn't it?" I didn't look at him as I spoke.

"Yes, its the only way to fix all this. To stop the angels vs demons, wolves vs vamps, just everyone stop fighting so much and starting to respect eachother. Its the only way to save this world. When I heard that you and your offspring with your mate are to be the strongest in the world, I wasn't sure what it meant. Then I started to really think recently, this is it. They are to be the strongest to keep what is to be right with the world." We connected eyes.

"Well, let's go unite this fucking world already." I say as I lead out the door.
