The Hybrid Rogue

I was in the passenger seat of a truck that Lycious was driving. We had dropped off Ryanne near the town about an hour ago and were on our way, just the two of us, to this unknown location. I was jerked a good bit in my seat because the location had no roads leading to it. Lycious had some music on that I couldn't even recognize. He was driving like a crazy person that knew what he was doing, though.

"We will have a bit of a run as well. So, that's why I told you to use that backpack and be ready to shift. It will be a lot quicker." He said over his music. The backpack was a hiking one with a lot of cargo hold to it and snapped together so well that even in wolf form it wouldn't be going anywhere.

He then stopped and motioned me to get out and follow him. We walked a bit before he pointed to behind a tree and made movements with his hands to keep quite while shifting. My wolf seemed huged before, but when I trotted back to the spot I left Lycious, I saw the largest blackest wolf I have ever seen. Then I was hit with a surprise, he could mind link me in wolf form.

'Okay, we will be meeting him just outside the perimeter. I don't find him a threat by that point. Keep your head high and allow me to shift first then if you'd like you can go behind a tree again to change back. Just as close as possible still." How was he mind linking without a pack link. 'I figured since in our forms, my brother and I can speak, that we should be able too as well. It was a lucky guess."

I just follow him and start daydreaming so bad, I almost smashed right into him when he finally came to a hault. A tall, slender man with a man bun was not far from where we were. Lycious shifted and put some pants on hanging from his strap before taking it off and retrieving more clothes. There was a larger tree next to me that was hollowed well enough in a spot that I could go inside and shift.

"Nice to meet you, Azula. Please, I must feel you for a moment, do not be alarmed." Dracula says as he places a hand on my heart and another on my head."Yes, you are of kin. Well, this changes the field for sure. Let's go do what is needed first before we discuss more without a piece of knowledge."

We walk further and come to a house that actually seemed well off for being as old as it was."We haven't been allowed past that line even for a very long time and now here we are." Lycious laughs at this like it is a joke.

Suddenly, the door of the house opens. Only I can walk further and when I am infront of the door, I am sucked into the house like something grabbed me and the door slammed shut behind me. The brothers are left outside and me alone inside.

"No worries. They will be brought in shortly. I just want to speak with you first, Azula. Please, allow me to show you where to go." Says a seemingly female voice. My legs become someone else's and I am brought to a back room of this small cabin type home. "This was the room my sister and I shared, once upon a time."

I see two large trunks that have their name on it and both have symbols along with them that were different. The one with Caterina's name had a symbol I wasn't sure what it was, while Anca's had a pentacle on it. My legs keep going to the trunk with the pentacle and my arms reach out and open it.

Inside is some books, clothes, spell supplies, Anca's journals, and at the very top of it all, a letter addressed to myself.

I open it, "Azula, you are reading this beyond my years. My brothers have grown so far apart and only you can bring them together. With your abilities, you can keep them and their people in line. You will have an enemy in common, that as soon as you had stepped on this land, have made their first move. You are to have them help you and with that, they will grow closer than they have ever been before. This enemy can only be defeated with the three of you. You do not know it yet, but you are with child and this scares them. Your mate has been called to home and to get him back, you must wait for your child inside you come out. My brothers honor their kin and will do what they must to protect you and this child. They are not your enemy, though, Vladdy didn't honor that thought at one point. To win this war, the answers are in my journals. The spells that are in here are not known by other witches. Some my be rumored to exist, but only you can perform them. Keep blocking out the communication links from the light and dark until you have read them all. I have them numbered and a spell has been in place for you not to try to skip. Only you can read them. They will appear blank to someone else. Please, you can win this fight with time and get your mate back. My brothers are coming now. Love, Anca."

Anca's voice read it outloud to me in english, even though it was Romanian. Soon the front door opened and I heard the brothers caususly walk inside together. They see me through the door way with tears in my eyes. Dracula is the first to speak, "It has begun, hasn't it."

"I can't reach him. I should be able to reach him, but I can't." I cry out. Lycious reaches me first and realizes what has happened. I can't mind link Ryanne at all. It is like he doesn't exist in this world anymore. Dracula lights some candles and Lycious hold me until Dracula joins us on the floor.

"Whatever is needed, we are here for you. They will not get away with what they are trying to do." Lycious says with his brother in agreement.
