Chapter 17
"Calm down, Clay. You're not going to find her by breaking your hand." Henry said, nervously pacing the room.
They have tried everything, have been to Blood Moon personally, but every attempt at finding Kia failed. It was like she had disappeared completely.
" What if he doesn't have her?" Clayton asked." What if we're wasting time by looking for her in Blood Moon when she's not actually there?"
"No, all signs lead to Blood Moon. She has to be there. We just haven't found where yet, their pack is large enough to keep us busy a while. Especially since we have to do all the searching on the down-low." Henry said, sighing.
"I'm tired of doing this on the down-low Henry! I NEED TO FIND MY DAUGHTER!" Clayton roared out.
"Damn you, Clayton. I know! But we can't just declare war with one of the most dangerous packs in the world." Henry yelled.
"Are you two done with your yelling fest?" Tobias asked as he walked into the office.
"Tobias.." Henry said. "We were just...."
"No need Alpha, the whole pack heard what you were just doing." Tobias said, sitting down at the table.
Henry sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "We need to keep this more discreet." he said, shaking his head.
"When are we going back?" Tobias asked.
"I don't know Tobias. We've run out of excuses to get us into their territory." Clayton said, the frustration clear in his voice.
--Blood Moon--
"I'm impressed, Kia. You've got some fight in you." Morris said as he walked around Kia's bloody and broken body as she lay trembling on the floor. "No matter, everyone gives up eventually."
ring, ring
The sound of Morris' phone drew him away from Kia to the other side of the room.
"Hello?" he answered. He frowned as the person on the other end spoke before he stormed out, yelling at whoever called him.
"That's the fourth time this week." Thomas said, shaking his head.
"They're really desperate to find you." Darion said as he wiped the blood from his collection of knives.
Kia pushed herself up slightly, lifting her head to look at the two men who have been endlessly torturing her for a week.
"Four times?" she whispered.
"Yes, love. Four times. They've been here looking for you, but of course they never find you. We're smarter than that. Dad was disappointed that they figured out you were here so soon..." Thomas said with a light chuckle. "but we also expected Tobias to suspect us first."
Kia grimaced as some of her bones popped back in place as Niri started healing her.
"I wonder how long it'll be until they stop looking for you." Darion said, giving Kia his signature smirk.
"Never..." Kia growled out, feeling the strength rush back into her body.
She's been beaten, cut, shot, thrown around, chained, starved and driven to near hypothermia but she never gave them the satisfaction of seeing her cry or showing her fear. She refused to back down no matter how hard they came at her.
Thomas laughed at her, shoving her back down to the ground. Kia shivered as the cold concrete met her bare skin, she never seemed to get used to it and she missed Tobias' warmth.
"They won't find you, Kia. So you can go ahead and stop hoping." Thomas said.
Kia glared up at him, fire dancing through her green eyes.
"Are you done for the day or not?" Kia snapped.
"Nope, we're just giving your wolf a chance to heal you. Wouldn't want you to die just yet." Darion said walking over to her.
"Well I'm healed dumbass, so get moving." Kia said.
Darion smiled widely as he kneeled next to her, he grabbed her face in his hand making her look at him as he came closer. When he was just inches away from her face Kia spit in his face, covering it with her spit and blood.
Her triumphant smile fell from her face as Darion plunged the silver coated knife deep into her thigh. Kia screamed out, a blood curling scream that made your ears ring, clenching her jaw tightly to steady herself as he pulled it out again.
"Done trying to be the hero?" Darion asked, smiling at her again.
Kia growled, extending her claws and lashed out at him. She cut him clear across his face, deep angry looking wounds forming. Darion growled loudly, grabbing Kia by the neck and slamming her down onto the floor. Her head spun and her vision was cloudy, but she could feel Darion's breath on her cheeks as he leaned down to whisper in her ear.
"Bad idea..." he said, squeezing down harder and harder on her neck, cutting her air supply off.
Kia tried removing his hand, tried fighting him off, but he was insanely strong.
"ENOUGH!" Morris said and Darion released her neck, making Kia gasp for air. She turned over on her side, coughing and fighting to fill her lungs.
"Go to the infirmary and get that fixed." Morris said, pointing to Darion's face. "Riverdale is on their way."
Kia looked up at him at the mention of her pack, hope blooming in her stomach. She quickly looked away again, trying hard not to let them see her excitement.
Darion left and Morris followed him. It was just Kia and Thomas now, and yet again he stood there silently watching her every move.
"What? You bored already?" Kia spat, turning her attention to Thomas.
"No, I'm just deciding where I want to start." he growled out.
He walked over to her slowly, stopping at her feet. In one smooth motion her scooped her up and carried her over to the wall where the chains were. He set her down on her feet and started fixing the chains to her wrists. Kia fought him the whole way, as she had been for the last week. She wasn't going to give up, she refused to be broken.
He smirked at her as he stepped away from her thrashing body.
"Fight all you want, little one. You ain't going anywhere." he said.
Kia watched Thomas walk over to the table in the corner of the room, on it was a variation of weapons. Knives for Darion and hammers for Thomas, but also different torturing tools, guns, cleaning supplies and cold water to wake her up if she balcked out again.
Surprisingly, Thomas picked up a small knife ans started walking back to Kia.
"I wonder how my name would look on your skin?" Thomas said, thoughtfully as he slid the edge of the knife across her stomach.
Kia clenched her teeth, she was deathly afraid but she wasn't going to let it show. Thomas began cutting into her, so slowly Kia could feel every inch of skin he cut through, rip open. Kia bit down on her teeth so hard she heard a few of them crack underneath the pressure. The pain was almost unbearable, soft groans escaping her lips.
"Beautiful..." Thomas said as he stepped back to admire his handy work. Kia could feel the blood dripping down over her stomach and down her legs. The wound burned and she forced herself to look down at it.
In large, crooked words he had written his name over her stomach.
T H O M A S
"Now everyone will know who you belong to." Thomas said as he lightly nibbled on her ear.
Kia lifted her knee and sent it crashing into his manhood, sending him crumbling to the floor.
"I AM NOT YOURS!" she yelled out.
Thomas jumped up again, his eyes pitch black. He was livid and Kia knew she had poked the wolf now. She shrunk back against the wall, trying to get as far away as she possibly could.
He let out a threatening growl before he started hitting her, punching and kicking her all over. Kia felt her world fade in and out with every punch Thomas landed. After a while he stopped and Kia almost sighed with relief.
She heard a fumbling at the farside of the room and then his footsteps came back to her. She was too tired to open her eyes, but when she finally managed to do so, she froze in place.
A large hammer was swinging towards her, as it made contact with her hip Kia could hear the bone cracking beneath her skin. She screamed out again, the hammer continuing to rain down blow after blow upon her, hitting her thigh, her ribs, her knees, her arms, shoulders - anything that wouldn't instantly kill her. Her voice was so hoarse from screaming that it came out all gruff and gargled.
Thomas stood back a few steps, "It's time for you to die..." he yelled, pacing the space in front of her.
Kia leaned her head back, accepting death with open arms. She wasn't going to fight against it any more, she was in pain, she was tired and cold and hungry. Niri was exhausted and she knew that she'd lose her if it kept going on like this.
She faintly heard Thomas swinging the hammer and braced herself for the impact. But it never came..
A loud growl ripped through the air, sending a chill down her spine.
Thomas yelled and there was a crashing sound, the table tumbling over as he hit it. Kia opened her eyes and tried to focus on what was happening in the room, there was a blur of bodies on the floor. Tumbling around.
As her eyes adjusted she saw a pair of familiar tattooed arms wrapped around Thomas's throat. He was fighting against it, but the sheer strength of Tobias' rage was winning out. Thomas went limp, the life draining from his eyes.
Tobias turned around and locked eyes Kia, for the first time since she'd been kidnapped Kia started to cry. Tears streaming down her face.
"Shhh, I've got you." Tobias said as he worked on the chains around her wrists.
Kia collapsed into him, too weak to stand on her own. Tobias wrapped his arms around her, holding her to his chest tightly.
"I thought I was going to die..." Kia choked out.
"You almost did, princess." Thobias murmured, inhaling her scent.
He gently picked her up, the movement making Kia scream with pain. Tobias looked like he was in pain too, although Kia couldn't see any injuries.
"I'm sorry, Kia." he said as he walked out of the room with her and into the daylight.
"Oh my god, Kia!" she heard her father yell, followed by footsteps coming closer.
Clayton gently slid his hand over her cheek, inhaling sharply.
"What have they done to you?" he asked, looking over her blood covered body.
"Don't worry, he's dead." Tobias said as he walked past her father towards the car. She heard her father growl behind her and finally felt herself let go. She closed her eyes slowly, committing every detail of Tobias' face to memory as she drifted towards the darkness.
