The Hidden Gold Mine Heiress Divorcee

Chapter 322

Chapter 322 A Bedtime Story

Ziana looked at him quietly.

Boris sat there, smiling casually, with dark hair, brown eyes, and a high nose. His facial features were more sharp and charming under the light.

The elegant black suit fit him well. He had a great body figure with broad shoulders and a narrow waist, looking good in everything.

When she was looking at him, his gaze was fixed on her.

Ziana cared nothing tor his gaze and responded to his words, "Will you answer whatever I ask?"

Boris said in a languid tone, his eyes becoming more casual, "Try one."

Ziana gave him a blank look on hearing that and said, "Don't give me that."

Boris raised his eyebrows, leaned back on the chair, and answered frankly, "It depends on what you ask."

Ziana was actually a little hesitant.

She thought of the recording on the phone.

In the recording, the conversation between Max and Yudel confused her.

They said that Boris was investigating something which seemed to be related to her.

So what was the matter?

Why was everyone hiding it from her?

It would be okay if Ziana didn't know they had a secret. But once she becomes suspicious, the more they hid it, the

more she wanted to know.

However, all her family never said a word.

Ziana was very aware of the tricks of Max and Yudel. If they wanted to hide her intentionally, she wouldn't be able to

find out.

Since they planned to keep it a secret, she had to investigate in private.

It means that she couldn't use the contacts and resources from home.

Although Ziana had her manpower. But the problem was that the family members would soon notice it as long as she checked the Scott family. After all, not everyone could check a family like hers.

If Ziana spo oked her family, they would track her down to discover her, and she would still be exposed in the end.

From that recording, she could learn that Boris was also investigating that matter...

Perhaps, she could start with him.

But was Boris reliable?

II Ziana asked him, would he be honest?

Would he tell Max about today's conversation?

I he guessed her intention, would he stop her?

In just a short while, a lot of thoughts ran through Ziana's head, and her expression also kept changing

Boris noticed her strangeness; one moment, she frowned, and the next, she glanced at him, then tensed up her face

and pondered.

He chuckled suddenly. In the next second, his big hand pinched her small face.

Ziana came back to her senses and met his eyes, "What... What?"

"Ask whatever you want." He looked at her carefully, rubbed between her brows with his cool fingertips, and said, "Don't trouble yourself."

Ziana pushed his hand away and tested him in a roundabout way, "What did you say to my dad today?"

"I can tell you this." Boris sounded generous. "Stretch out your hand."

Ziana blinked and asked, "My hand?"

"Yes."

"Which hand?" she asked curiously.

Boris lowered his head, rested his eyes on her hand, and grabbed her left hand.

He pulled her hand in front of him, palm up, and looked at it seriously.

The palm prints were clear, and the veins were clean.

It was this hand that was tightly held by Edison just now.

Ziana muttered, "What are you looking at?"

Boris didn't answer, stretched out his long arms, and took out a wet tissue to wipe her hand, "It's dirty."

"No." Ziana glanced over and asked, "Where is it dirty?"

The palms were clean. Bust before feeding Ewen to eat fruit purée, she had washed her hands very carefully

"It's been wiped clean." Boris continued wiping her hands, not letting go of his fingertips, while answering her question, "I talked a lot with Mr. Scott today. He mentioned our marriage and mentioned that your horse was frightened, and I saved you. I can repeat it to you if you want to hear the details, but I may not remember clearly."

"Okay," replied Ziana flatly. Honestly, none of his words was what she wanted to hear.

She asked again, "Why did you go to that building?"

"To visit," Boris answered evenly.

"For all day? Lillian said you went in the morning and came out in the evening."

"Are you worried about me?" Boris looked at her with a half-smile.

Ziana rolled her eyes at him.

He continued, "It's very big inside. After I was tired from walking around, I entered a room and fell asleep. It was already dark when I woke up. Then, I returned to the castle and rest at bedroom for a while. Later, Calvin reminded me that there was a family dinner, and I saw you and Edison coming back together."

Boris said in a sincere attitude and tone. When he spoke, he looked into her eyes, seeming to be telling the truth.

Ziana couldn't tell if what he said was true now.

She pulled her hand out and said, "I'm done asking. Now it's your turn. You said you have something to tell me. What is it? Better make it quick. I'm already sleepy."

The hands of the clock were at half past eight.

Ziana covered her mouth and yawned gracefully.

Actually, Boris came back just to see her.

Boris got a lot of things to tell her. However, those words were either unspeakable, or she didn't like to hear them.

He wanted Ziana to stay away from Edison and reminded her that Edison was more complicated than she had imagined.

However, Ziana would be disgusted if Boris told her that. He had no evidence now, and she would think that he was jealous of Edison and didn't want to see her happy after divorcing him.

But how could he not want to see her happy?

Wasn't he doing so much for her to live a good life?

Boris also wanted to explain to Ziana the truth about forcing her to divorce.

He wanted to tell Ziana that it wasn't that he didn't like her but that he was too contradictory and entangled to admit his feelings for her.

Boris wanted to tell her they were in love five years ago.

He wanted to selfishly beg Ziana to wait for him and not to find anyone else. He wanted her to give him some time to deal with troubles, then pursue her and have a relationship with her in the way she liked. Boris opened his month, but all that came forth was a single word, "Yeah."

"Just say it."

"I'll tell you a bedtime story, and then you wash up and go to bed."

Something flashed through Ziana's mind suddenly and then disappeared quickly. She wanted to catch the thought but failed, leaving her in a daze.

"Is that what you want to say?"

Boris nodded and said, "Yes."

Ziana said coldly," need it. Save it for your girlfriend."

She sneered, "Don't you think it's funny for a man with a girlfriend to tell me, who has a boyfriend, a bedtime story?"

"I'll leave after I tell it." Boris thought for a while and said, regardless of her reaction, "Once upon a time, there was a Mr. Owl who fell in love with Miss Moon. He looked up at the moon every night with his eyes open wide and stared at it the whole night. Miss Moon was very sad and told him that they couldn't be together because they were too far apart. Mr. Owl nodded half understanding, flew to the small river, and kissed the reflection of the moon quietly."
