Chapter 134
Chapter 134 Rabies Vaccination
Even though Aurelia’s words were tempting, there was a distinct sense of confusion in her eyes.. Suddenly, Matthew thought of something.

He immediately removed the red bronze coin bracelet from his hand and placed it back onto Aurelia’s
WTIST.
Aurelia was restless and uncooperative, intentionally seducing him.
The disparity in strength between the man and woman was evident. Matthew held Aurelia’s hand and swiftly tied the red string bracelet around her wrist.
When the red string bracelet fell back onto Aurelia’s wrist, Aurelia ceased to fidget.
Gradually, a light that was distinctly hers began to shine in her bewildered eyes.
Reflected in her pupils was the sexy half–naked figure of Matthew.
Due to how hard he was holding himself back, a drop of sweat formed on his forehead and landed on her chest.
Her eyes slowly widened as her mind registered the chill of the sweat on her skin. “You! Haven’t you had enough after touching me for so long and nearly forcing yourself on me?”
Matthew’s eyes held an unfathomable depth. Smiling subtly, he reached for the bath towel nearby, draping it over Aurelia’s body, concealing a vast expanse of her skin that threatened to undo his self–control.
He could feel his arousal seemed to be skyrocketing further.
Aurelia was terrified, the recent event replaying in her mind like scenes from a movie.
As she blushed, her eyes, clear and bright, seemed to shimmer. Under the warm yellow light, she quickly defended herself. The gown had me under its spell! I was momentarily enchanted!”
The first owner of the gown was a courtesan from the early twentieth century. She had the dress made to attract more clientele and secure her standing.
However, the tailor who made her gown must have been ordered by someone else to embroider a talisman onto the dress, which ultimately led to her tragic death.
She was inevitably affected by the incident because Joseph burned the gown during her journey home while Matthew was wearing the red bronze coin bracelet Hannah gave her.
As Aurelia stared at the red bronze coin bracelet on her wrist, she felt like crying.
Her mind was still reliving the scene from earlier vividly, and she remembered how she touched Matthew’s body while he had a full view of hers.
Even at that moment, she could still feel the lingering sting on her lips.
The scene of her kiss seemed to freeze and magnify before her eyes as if a movie had paused.

There were traces of blue and purple bruises on it, which were overlaid with bite marks.

Taking a deep breath, Aurelia found the sight of the wound too glaring, so she flat–out refused to admit it. “I’m going to get the first aid kit. When did you get hurt?”
Seizing the opportunity, she planned to sneak out.
Matthew grasped her hand, placing it on his shoulder. He smiled teasingly as he said, “A cute and somewhat fierce puppy just bit me. Do you think I should go get a shot of rabies vaccine?” To think she’s planning to run off after arousing me. What did she take me for? Had she forgotten that I’m a regular man?
Aurelia’s fingers stiffened momentarily as if scorched by the warmth lingering on the bite mark. You’re the puppy! Your whole family are puppies!
“Take a look here. I’m bitten here, too.” Matthew leaned in closer and pointed at his lips.
There was a small wound on his lips with some traces of blood.
Aurelia knew she was in the wrong but didn’t back down. “I admit it, I bit you. Is that not enough?”
She then forcefully yanked her hand away.
Clutching the bath towel tightly, she slipped off the bed and vanished like a wisp of smoke.
Matthew narrowed his dark eyes as he stared at the wide–open door.
After a few seconds of silence, he left the bed and headed toward the bathroom.
The hickeys on his shoulder and the small cut on his lips were distinctly visible as he looked into the mirror.
In the mirror, he saw a reflection of himself filled with lust, a side of him he had never seen before.
He pulled out a cigarette from a box sitting on the sink.
In a moment, the room was shrouded in a haze of smoke.
As he tapped off the cigarette ash, he gazed down at the bite marks on his shoulder somewhat absentmindedly.
After escaping back to her room, Aurelia immediately dashed into the bathroom.
Looking at her disheveled hair in the mirror, seeing her somewhat disarrayed appearance, she took a ieep breath. “I look crazy!”
Picking up the hairdryer, she blew at her damp hair with a somewhat unsettled state of mind. I need to forget what happened earlier!
Her thoughts uncontrollably arrived at the scene of her making Matthew’s bed wet earlier.
Her hand trembled before she took three more deep breaths. I need to be more careful when I help people in the future. I can’t let my guard down! Thankfully, Matthew remained rational enough earlier. Otherwise, I might have given my body away without really understanding why earlier. Although, I bet he was able to remain composed because he doesn’t like me. That seems pretty clear.

After drying her hair, she lay back down on the bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.
Suddenly, she remembered something. “I almost forgot that the shop’s orders weren’t handled yet.”
The orders that day weren’t many, and they were easily identifiable, so she took care of all that in half an hour.
Just as she was about to lock her phone and set it aside, a text message from the bank popped up.
It was a notification about the transfer of half a million.
Upon seeing that the money transfer was from Joseph, she was surprised.
Following that, she received a WhatsApp message from Joseph: Auri, the money I transferred to you is a token of my appreciation. The gown has been burnt, and thanks to you, Sarah and my great–grandchild are now sleeping peacefully.
After glancing at the balance in her bank account, Aurelia felt even more at ease. She could finally afford to buy a house of her own!
After replying to Joseph’s WhatsApp message and reminding him of a few things to keep in mind, she began to search for properties in the city.
As she was researching, she unknowingly fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Melanie rarely went to bed early. It was usually around two or three in the morning when she prepared to sleep.
After returning from Phyllis‘ place earlier, she had been feeling rather down.
Even though she took the initiative to visit the place, both Charlie and Herbert remained indifferent to her, constantly on guard around her.
She was absolutely livid!
Looking at the threatening messages she had just received from Charlie and Herbert on her phone, she almost dropped it in shock.
They demanded her not to pick on Aurelia, even claiming they knew what she was thinking and wanted to do.
They emphasized that no one could take away what belonged to Aurelia.
At that moment, a handsome guy she met once before and connected with on WhatsApp asked her: Do you want to hang out?
Melanie recalled the events that had transpired earlier and the video where Curtis had threatened her, causing her to hesitate for a few minutes.
Looking at the time, it had just passed midnight, which she thought was still too early for bed.
The handsome man sent another message: I got something good. Aren’t you going to give it a try?
Melanie bit her lip, recalling the last time when Curtis had recorded a video of her. It was an accident that day because she took too many pills and lost consciousness.

Thus, she promised herself she would be a bit more careful that day.
Finished
She was already feeling downcast due to what happened earlier that day, so seeing her parents‘ long faces, at home only added to her frustration. In the end, she figured it would be better to go out and seek some joy.
Thus, she replied the handsome man: All right then!
Ten minutes later, Melanie stealthily descended the stairs.
The mansion was quiet, with the housekeepers having retired for the night already.
Melanie wasn’t worried about being spotted by others and figured it would be fine if she returned first thing in the morning.
As soon as she pushed the door open and stepped out, Aaron emerged from the kitchen right behind her, holding a cup of coffee in his hand.
He was puzzled to see Melanie cautiously step out of the house. It’s so late already. Where is Mel going?
He couldn’t sleep anyway, and he was worried about Melanie’s safety, so he immediately followed her.
