The Guardian's Sword

The Guardian’s Sword By Talking Cigarette Chapter 1300

Chapter 1300
“Thanks.”
Sean nodded gently and took back the platinum card.
“Mr. Lennon, you’re too kind.
“I won’t disturb you with your friends‘ gathering anymore. Let me know if you need anything.”
Mr. Dickson quickly waved his hand and left with the waiter while bowing.
He looked very respectful as if Sean was the boss.
Thud!
The private room door closed.
Everyone in the room was still quiet.
Everyone stood up and looked at Sean with wide eyes.
There were shock, admiration, and curiosity in their eyes...
They had to admit that they had underestimated Sean earlier!
At this point, Sean did not need money to protect his reputation.
Using his status was more powerful than his bank cards!
“Sit down.”
Sean waved his hand gently and sat down.
He already said the meal was a thank you to Caitlyn’s good friends.
They should finish the meal, of course.
“Ah, okay...”

It was not until Sean spoke that everyone sat down.
However, the atmosphere in the private room had changed beyond recognition.
Wes lost his sense of superiority and blushed in embarrassment.
Sean did not pay for the meal, but it was considered his treat.
If it had not been for Sean today, they probably would not have been able to afford this meal with all their savings.
“Catie, is he your boyfriend?”
Some of Caitlyn’s best friends could not help but have ideas about Sean.
Caitlyn hesitated at the question.
She knew Sean treated her like a sister, and she had always called Sean like a brother.
By rights, it was a good thing that someone liked Sean, and she should support it as his sister.
However, for some reason, the thought of another girl around Sean made her uncomfortable. “Yes, he is!”
Caitlyn said affirmatively, nodding earnestly.
“Ah... Well...
“So what does he do, and why is he so good?”
Deep disappointment appeared on the girls‘ faces.
If Sean and Caitlyn had not confirmed their relationship, they would still have a chance.
They could only envy her.
“I... I’m not sure...”
Caitlyn thought for a moment. She had no idea what Sean did.
Speaking of which, Sean seemed to be unemployed with some retirement money.

However, she did not understand the situation today.
“Alright...”
The girls were smart and did not ask any more questions. “It’s just a meal. I was just in a hurry when I left home...”
Wes was silent for a moment, still trying to save his face.
“Are you going to eat?
“F*ck off if you won’t.”
However, Sean did not give him any face.
The sentence made Wes blush and furious.
“Hmph! Do you think I want it?”
Wes got up and looked over to Logan nearby.
How awkward would it be if he left the place alone?
Therefore, he wanted Logan to leave with him.
However, Logan kept his head down and made no attempt to leave with him.
‘Are you kidding? Nobody’s stupid.
‘We have a table full of good wine and food in front of us, won’t I be a fool to leave while starving?
‘More importantly, they can tell that Sean’s rich and powerful.
‘It would not be a bad choice to be friends with someone like him!”
Therefore, Logan made a wise choice.
Increasingly angry, Wes gritted his teeth and stormed away.
“Peace at last.

“Brother Sean, you don’t know how good Wes is at faking things.
“Yes, his family’s quite well–off so he got above himself. He’s always pretending in front of us.”
As soon as Wes left, several classmates behind him began to trash–talk him.
Sean smiled and said nothing, only helping Caitlyn with the food from time to time.
Caitlyn was a little embarrassed. She did not know some of the dishes or even how to eat them.
Fortunately, having Sean beside her made her feel a lot better.
“Maybe this is how safety feels like..”
Caitlyn peeped at Sean, delighted.
“Oh, why did you guys start eating without me?”
Just then, another well–dressed man walked in.
Thud!
The young man sat down and loudly dropped the keys to his Mercedes on the table.
“Connor? What are you doing here?”
One girl asked with a slight frown.
After all, they did not invite Connor today.
Speaking of which, Connor was even more annoying than Wes.
His family conditions were similar to Wes‘, but he was more arrogant than Wes.
He was conceited because he had a wealthy family.
The crowd disliked him, but they dared not lose their temper with him, so they could only avoid him.
He was not even invited to the class reunion today.

“What am I doing here? Can you afford this place if I don’t come?”
Connor picked up a pair of cutlery and could not help feeling surprised after glancing at the fine wine on the table.
“Hey, don’t you know how your financial situation is? Are these liquor something you can afford?
“Logan, that shabby Santana
downstairs is yours, right? How many years have you been driving it? Aren’t you going to change it?
“And you, Rainie, have you paid off your mortgage? Why are you so arrogant?”
Connor talked nonstop since he sat down, exuding a sense of superiority.
He belittled the people in front of him that they sounded worthless.
Even though they knew it was Connor’s character, they were uncomfortable. However, they could only swallow it.
“I see there’s a rental bike parked downstairs. Which one of you rode it here?
“Don’t you know your financial situation? How dare you order such a large table of food?
“Especially you, Caitlyn. Everyone’s doing better than you. Can you afford this?”
Connor crossed his legs, his tone and expression disdainful.
It was as if Caitlyn and the rest did not deserve such a meal.
Sean wanted to ignore Connor, but he frowned slightly when he heard Connor criticizing Caitlyn.
“I’m talking to you, Caitlyn. What are you doing here instead of working at the orphanage...”
Slap!
Connor was barely finished with this sentence when a sharp slap sound was heard.
Connor’s speech was cut short.
