THE GREAT SURPRISE

Chapter 20 - Final

A sudden roar echoed the forest loudly, turning heads in the direction.

They were caught off guard by the ten grizzly bears’ presence.

One of the deers thrust their antler into Suzy’s thigh. She winced in agony falling back shifting into herself breathlessly about to impact the ground.

‘Suzy!’ Tyler yelled charging with the guys fighting off the deer shifters until he got to her. He transformed back and caught her in his arms. ‘Suzy, look at me, Suzy, look at me, sweetheart,’ he said watching her eyes close slightly.

Roy shouted, ‘Tyler remember the prophecy one must die in order to stop the war!’ and smirked wickedly.

‘No! No one needs to die!’ Tyler glared at him before looking at Suzy caressing her face.

Dakota spoke, ‘Give her some of your energy it will heal her wound.’

He nodded, ‘Okay’ and kissed her breathing his energy into her as the wound started to cure in her thigh.

Surrounded by his bears, Roy laughed, ‘How sweet? You won’t escape here alive if you give her all of your energy, Tyler.’

‘Who says I need to Roy?’ Tyler smirked and handed her to Tommy and Ronny. ‘Look after her guys, I’ll be back.’

Tommy nodded, ‘Alright, beat the shit out of that guy.’

‘Don’t get yourself killed Tyler or else I might have a chance with sleeping beauty here,’ Ronny teased looking at Suzy.

Tyler smirked, ‘I doubt I will and I don’t think you will’ and then he walked off facing Roy in his bear form. ‘Let’s pick up where we left off!’ and charged swinging his clawed paw.

‘Certainly,’ Roy laughed and dodged his attack booting him with his head.

Tyler thrust his claws against his injured chest as he winced as his antlers thrust in his side as he escaped any major damage.

The fighting intensified greatly, their massive power pushed them backward at a far distance. Panting tiredly, glaring at each other, both were wounded badly.

Tyler also had a half-moon bear power in him, he could generate lightning from the moonlight and threw it after him and he yelled, ‘Die, you bastard!’

‘You first!’ Roy answered and absorbed the gold fragments from the ground creating many spikes and sent them after Tyler.

Suzy saw what was happening and came in front of Tyler protecting him, ‘Stop, Roy!’

‘No, Suzy!’ Roy cried out watching the gold spikes pierce through her body.

‘Suzy!’ Tyler screamed in shock looking at her blood shred like teardrops across the ground.

Suddenly, Crystal awoke in her as she ascended in the air floating in glowing light.

‘This ends now!’ She spoke firmly rewriting history erasing the war between the bears’ and deers’ clans.

She teleported everyone to the future with no recollection of the past before her spirit died after reviving her host with her last words.

‘Live well, Suzy,’ Crystal spoke before she vanished before her eyes.

‘Crystal! Don’t go,’ Suzy said and, then she disappeared into the light.

Inside the famous club and hotel, CLASSIC, Tyler and his friends were dressed in suits meeting up for dinner in the VIP lounge overlooking the city. Meanwhile, Skylar and Matt were out on the balcony having their wedding. Chloe was her maid of honour. However, Suzy was sitting at the table in the far corner sipping on her champagne waiting for best friends, Cassandra and Emily to arrive for their girls’ night out party.

‘It seems they’re running late again,’ she laughed.

Suddenly, she got a text from Emily.

‘Stuck in traffic! Oh my gosh, God help us!’ she messaged.

Her phone buzzed again. It was a message from Cassandra.

‘Hey, we’re caught in traffic but we’ll be there soon promise,’ she texted.

Suzy chuckled, ‘You can see the difference in personalities’ and messaged them in their group chat: ‘Okay.’

She leaned back in her chair and caught the scene of the bride and groom kissing. ‘They look so happy together,’ she said to herself without realising Tyler had walked past her before stopping his footsteps and looking back at her.

‘Yeah, they do,’ he replied smiling at her.

Suzy faced him and blushed a little, ‘True.’

‘Hi, I’m Tyler. Can I seat here?’ he asked.

‘Sure, I’m Suzy. Nice to meet you,’ she nodded.

‘Are you waiting for someone?’ Tyler questioned.

‘My friends, they’ll be here in a few minutes. What about you?’ Suzy asked.

‘Same, they’re over there. I could keep you company for a while,’ Tyler smirked.

‘You don’t have to,’ Suzy smiled.

‘I want to because this is the beginning of our story,’ Tyler answered.

Suzy giggled, ‘Oh wow, I bet you say that every woman you see.’

‘I’m surrounded by guys twenty-four-seven, honey. You’re the only woman I see because you’re beautiful as a bear,’ Tyler said cheesy.

‘As a bear? Oh my gosh,’ Suzy laughed.

‘I like you, Suzy and I want to date you, what do you say?’ Tyler smirked.

Suzy replied, ‘If you dance with me I’ll think about it.’

‘Deal,’ Tyler said and stood up from his chair before holding her hand.

They danced at the reception of the bride and groom, flirting with each other before ending up in a hotel room having an endless night full of fun.
