The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 93

Parker's curled up his lips. Ever since he turned over a new leaf and left the underworld, he had never fought again and had been controlling himself intentionally.

Unexpectedly, there was someone who left him no peace.

Soon, Parker got into a fight with a few black-shirted security guards. He fought a few people by himself, and for a moment, it was hard for him to win.

Meredith watched in the room nervously. She was moved that Parker had come so soon, but seeing that Derek let so many people fight with him, she was worried that he would suffer.

Derek looked coldly at Parker's nimble but powerful movements. Derek had always thought that Parker was just a playboy who was dissipated, and that he must have been weak physically long ago. His performance today was unexpected.

When Derek looked back, he saw Meredith in the window. Through the glass, the anxiety and worry in her eyes were still obvious.

She was worried about Parker.

This realization made Derek unhappy.

Not long after, Parker took a few steps back and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. His expression was solemn.

He had not fought with anyone for a long time, and these people seemed good at fighting too. For a moment, he really could not have the upper hand.

"Parker, you... go." Meredith could not help but said when she saw he was at a disadvantage.

If it went on like this, he was bound to be badly beaten. She had already troubled him so much and she could not implicate him like this anymore.

"Don’t worry, I'm fine." Parker looked at Meredith's anxious little face and smiled. Then he glanced at Derek, who was standing gracefully by the side with a cold face.

"How about Mr. Xavier and me have a fight? As long as you beat me, I'll leave.”

Parker deliberately provoked Derek. If it kept going on like this, he would not be able to take Meredith away. Therefore, he could only take such an unwise decision.

Derek smiled coldly, "Are you trying to prod me into fighting with you?"

"Do you dare?" Parker licked the blood on his lips, "It's not manly for you to hide behind a group of bodyguards.""

Derek snorted coldly and took off his clean and pressed coat. He was not going to do a glorious thing, but unlike others, he was still composed.

"Mr. Hill, don't cry for mercy if I hit you hard later.”

As soon as Derek finished speaking, he punched Parker.

Looking at Parker's face and thinking of Meredith's words and expressions just now, Derek wouldn't feel it was enough even if Parker was beaten to death.

Seeing this, Meredith was even more anxious. Parker already wasted a lot of energy as he just had a fight with those who practiced martial arts. In addition, Derek was also good at fighting and he was proficient in self-defense and free boxing. Even Parker fought with him, Parker could not win easily. Seeing that Derek was about to punch Parker's face hard with his fist, Meredith couldn't help but open the door in spite of the men's resistance, "Stop!"

Derek's fist grazed Parker's cheekbone and he looked at Meredith coldly.

"I agree. Stop fighting. I'll listen to you, okay?!"

As Meredith said this word by word, she felt her lower abdomen twitch and hurt a little, as if the baby in her belly was protesting against her unpalatable decision.

"Meredith, you..."

Parker was a little anxious, but Meredith did not hesitate, "Things are not as simple as I think. I'm sorry that I shouldn't have implicated you."

"I'm going to have an abortion tomorrow. Let him go."

Derek looked at Meredith's calm face. He had achieved his goal and made this woman give in, but he was not happy at all. Instead, he was so angry that he wanted to kill this bitch couple in front of him.

Did they just put on a show in front of him where they protected each other?

That was disgusting.

"Do you hear that? Now, get out of here.” Derek looked at Parker coldly, as if he was looking at a stray dog.

Parker looked at Derek and he hated this feeling. But now, he realized that in front of Derek, he wasn't strong enough. At least, he wasn't strong enough to do whatever he wanted.

"Thank you, Parker. I'm sorry for giving you a lot of trouble.”

Meredith pushed Parker. She didn't dare to let him stay. If the argument went on, it must be Parker who got hurt.

"I'm so useless. I'm sorry.” Parker clenched his fists, his nails dug into his palms, and her felt a sharp pain.

He would remember the humiliation and pain of today, and he would avenge it on Derek one day. He swore.

Parker left and the floor became quiet again.

Meredith suddenly felt very tired. Without looking at Derek, she turned around to return to the room that belonged to her alone.

Derek grabbed her wrist and said, "Now do you see how incompetent your man is? He can only helplessly watch as your child is aborted.”

"But I think he's much better than you."

Meredith threw his hand away. Because of her word, Parker had come to protect the child who had nothing to do with him because of her words. What about Derek...

All he could do was to plunder and destroy.

"You..."

Derek looked at Meredith's resolute back. Her voice was not loud, but it had an enlightening effect. By the time he realized it, Meredith had disappeared.

The next day.

The sun shone through the window, but it did not make Meredith feel warm or comfortable at all. The light was like a life-threatening spell, ruthlessly announcing the end of a relationship between her and the child in her belly.

"I'm sorry, baby."

Meredith touched her belly and was about to cry. She thought about it a lot last night. Her attitude towards the child went from rejection to the struggle of keeping it.

She didn't know when she started to care so much about this child.

However, she was so weak and incompetent that she could not keep it.

"Miss Mason, we can go to the operating room."

The doctor knocked on the door and Meredith hid all her expressions. She didn't want anyone to see her weak side.

She walked out calmly. Meredith didn't look at anyone and walked to the operating room without crying. Her calmness made Derek feel even more unhappy.

Meredith was lying on the operating table, and the doctor quickly injected her with an anesthetic, which slowly worked and made her feel numb.

Gradually, she could only hear a few words from the doctor.

"How's her blood pressure?”

"Prepare for the surgery.”

Meredith could not help but cry out when she saw that the terrible surgical instrument was about to reach into her body.

"No, my child!"

Derek was waiting at the door. The red emergency room light made him anxious.

After a while, the doctor came out with a grave expression, "Mr. Xavier, the patient is too weak. It's a miracle that she can get pregnant. She is emotionally unstable. I'm afraid..."
