The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 442

The two designers completed their designs within the required time on the spot simultaneously. The clients of the project would choose the winner.

When the clients arrived, the one whose design the clients liked would be the winner. To this, the two had no objections.

Derek took one document out of a pile of folders and asked his secretary to make two copies of it and give the copies to the two designers. He was going to contact the clients and invite them to come.

Meredith looked at the document in her hands carefully.

The client of this design project was actually a pair of twin girls. The twins wanted the designer to design the dresses they were going to wear at their coming-of-age ceremony.

In other words, since they were twins, the designer had to design two dresses.

Soon, a middle-aged couple came over with their twin daughters. Indeed, the twins were two pretty little girls who looked exactly the same.

Derek personally received the couple and briefly explained the situation to them. He also indicated that the design fee was waived as a gift to two young girls who were about to be 18 years old. Naturally, the couple was satisfied. Although they ran a company, the scale of the industry was not large, and the design fee of the Xavier Group was always high, so it would be best if it could be free. And it was a competition between two designers who were going to design clothes for their daughters, so the designers would definitely do their best. The couple had everything to gain while nothing to lose.

The couple happily took their daughters to the lounge to wait.

While Derek was communicating with the middle-aged couple, Meredith accidentally saw that although the two girls looked the same, the expressions on their faces were obviously different. One stood there quietly. And although the other did not speak, the expression on her face was not very good. When she looked at her sibling, there was hostility in her eyes.

Meredith could not help but be surprised and she frowned.

In her opinion, the twin sisters not only looked the same but also seemed to have vague telepathy. Logically speaking, the relationship between the two sisters would be very good.

But the twins in front of her didn't seem to be like this.

After Meredith asked, she knew that the quiet one was the elder sister, and the one with an unhappy expression was the sister.

Meredith also noticed that although the two sisters were wearing the same clothes and shoes and even their hair and headgear were the same, the sister not only rolled up the sleeves of her coat but also removed the beautiful tie at the collar.

The hair that had been tied up was put down, and the headdress was changed. Meredith had an immature guess in her mind when she saw the sister's expression as the sister looked at the elder sister.

Meredith's attention was once again focused on the document in her hands. Meredith was thinking that no matter what, she would design two sets of clothes in a way she thought was right.

Arya, on the other hand, only glanced at the twins and then stopped paying attention to them. She paid more attention to Meredith.

Seeing that Meredith did not show any nervousness, Arya sneered in disdain and said in her heart, "Just pretend. Anyway, I will be the winner."

Three hours were given. The two designers had to design two sets of clothing in three hours. In three hours, they had to choose materials, figure out the conception and make the sample clothes manually.

In this way, two designers faced great pressures caused by the time limitation. But, there was an assistant for each of them.

From the beginning, Arya stopped caring about Meredith and devoted herself to designing. She wanted to design amazing works and let Meredith lose completely in every aspect.

She wanted Mr. Xavier to see with his own eyes that she was the strongest and she was the only one who could help him the most in designing.

Meredith put her heart and soul into the conception and handed over the matter of handling the materials to her assistant.

She thought of the two girls’ personalities and decided to gamble as she wanted to make the immature thoughts in her heart into practice.

Meredith had heard of Arya's background. Arya won a number of design awards. Arya was famous both at home and abroad. Arya graduated from a famous school and seemed to have a teacher who was also a celebrity in the fashion world.

With such a background, Arya's ability must be outstanding. So, Meredith could only take a gamble, because she knew clearly that she was definitely inferior to Arya in terms of skills.

If Meredith wanted to win, she had to gamble and try something different. Meredith hoped that she would win.

Meredith stopped woolgathering and quickly drew outlines on the white paper.

Time passed minute by minute. An hour had passed.

Meredith looked at the draft in her hand. There were two sets of women's clothing which were of completely different styles on the paper. One was suitable for a gentle and quiet girl who was studying on campus.

But unlike those school uniforms, senses of design could be seen in many details and accessories of the clothing. The entire dress looked very youthful and beautiful.

The other was a slightly bold and avant-garde dress, and it had completely different styles from the previous one. And this set was naturally designed for the sister.

She used chiffon for the first dress and denim for the second. Meredith began to tailor.

Arya had the things she excelled in as she could be the general director of Design A Department of Xavier Group. At least, there was no challenge for her in the design field.

Her previous observations may not be as meticulous as Meredith's, and her ideas were more traditional. She thought that naturally, the twin girls’ dresses shall be similar. The twin's full dresses had to complement each other even if the two dresses had different design characteristics and colors.

So when the two outfits came out, even if people didn't know what the owners looked like, they knew the outfits were for twins.

Both designers had already started to make sample clothes.

Black was the main color of the shell fabrics Arya used. Then, she used some golden and red shell fabrics to complement the black shell fabrics. One dress had the gallus on the left shoulder and the other on the right shoulder.

The cuffs of each dress had corrugated edges. Although the decorative designs of each dress's hemline were different, those designs of each dress were both linked by red and golden shell fabrics.

When the two sets of dresses were displayed together, the ornaments on the hem of the two dresses looked like a complete painting at a glance. It was very beautiful and eye-catching.

It must be said that Arya's design ability and ideas were very outstanding. No wonder she could be the general director of Design A Department. Meredith looked at Arya's design and exclaimed in her heart.

But as she compared her designs to Arya's, she would not belittle her own design, nor would she think that her design was so bad. However, it had to be said that Arya's design was indeed more dazzling than hers.

She couldn't help but smile bitterly. It seemed that she could only rely on her luck.

Derek had been sitting in his seat and his attention had always been on Meredith. As for Arya, he didn't even look at her and it could be said that he ignored Arya.

Fortunately, Arya was completely focused on designing. Otherwise, no one knew whether Arya would be able to hold her scissor steadily in anger.

Three hours passed quickly. The models on both sides were wearing sample clothes.
