The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 431

No matter who caught her, who was in charge of this matter, he asked his man to ensure that she must be taken good care of. He would handle it when he came back.

After arranging this, Derek relaxed a little.

The person he contacted took the matter seriously and immediately gave a series of orders to arrange it as he said.

However, he did not know that someone in the police station who received the news hesitated after receiving another call and decided to ignore the action they were about to take.

Time passed by.

Every second was torture for Derek, who was waiting for the plane from far away, and Meredith, who was being interrogated in D City.

Meredith was in a very bad condition, her face pale and her brows furrowed

She felt that it had been a long time since anyone else had entered the interrogation room. She was alone, facing the intense light and the deafening sound.

Her temples were swollen and she felt a dull pain. Her brain was completely a mess and she couldn't think at all

This kind of mental torture could drive one crazy.

Under the constant glare of the light, she felt a pricking sensation in her eyes, both physically and mentally exhausted, but the sound around her ears made her unable to sleep. She was very painful. She had always thought that what the two men had said before they left was to use lynching or something and she was not afraid of the changes in the interrogation room.

But in retrospect, she was too naive.

One who suffered this kind of torture may not appear to have any changes for a while, but he would feel as much pain as what he would take from physical torture.

At night, the light around her suddenly dimmed, and the music around her ears seemed to fade. Her eyes opened slightly and she looked over.

The door to the interrogation room, which had been closed for some time, finally opened.

She frowned and shook her head slightly, but the pain in her temples became more intense, making her feel sick and nauseous.

Even though the sound was turned off, the music still seemed to be echoing, as if it was still playing over and over again.

Her vision was a little blurry, but she could still see one of the two men who came this morning enter with a folder in his hand. He opened it in front of her.

He said something, his lips moving, but she found she couldn't hear him clearly.

Although she could not hear what he said, she could tell from his actions that the other party wanted her to sign the document. She closed her eyes, knowing what the document was about even without looking at it.

Of course, she would never sign it. She did not open her eyes, not even noticing the male interrogator's cursing as he left again.

Soon, the intense and glaring light lit up again, and the music around her ears became clear and harsh again.

Meredith thought that it had been a long time, but it was actually just a day and a night.

In the evening, Derek finally got the news that he could return and successfully boarded the plane. Even so, he couldn't arrive in D City until around 8 o'clock the next day.

The next day.

Derek got out of the plane and didn't go anywhere. He took the people who picked him up at the airport and rushed to the police station where Meredith was being held.

When he arrived, the gate of the police station had just opened, and he rushed in with his men, which caused a stir.

The officer inside suddenly saw someone rushing in and was about to give a stern scolding, but when he looked into Derek's eyes, he couldn't shout out.

After all, who in D City couldn't recognize Derek's face or know his identity?

The officer had a sense of foreboding and his heart trembled as he saw Derek's scowl.

"Hello, Mr. Xavier. Why are you free to come over?"

"Where's she?" Derek's eyes seemed to be filled with ice, and the officer did not dare to look at him. "Who, who is she?"

The officer naturally knew who she was, but somehow, he was dumbfounded and blurted out the wrong answer. The next second, he suddenly couldn't breathe as his neck was tightly gripped by a pair of large hands.

"I said, where is she? Do you want to die?"

Derek was so angry with his vague attitude that he could not help but squeeze his neck. His big palms tightened in an instant as if he could break the neck as long as he used a little more strength. The officer's face turned red. His mouth was wide open and he could not breathe. He was terrified and knew that even if Derek really did something to him, he could only bear it.

Now, not daring to hide it, he pointed to the interrogation room with his trembling hand.

One of Derek's men, who was very observant, immediately strode over and kicked the door hard. The strong door was broken instantly as if it was made from tofu.

All of a sudden, the room was filled with bright light and harsh noise. Unlike Meredith, Derek understood at first sight because he knew what was going on. His face clouded over with anger. Derek strode in and saw Meredith, who was tied to a chair, seemingly unconscious. Her face was as pale as a ghost.

He felt a sharp pain in his heart and he rushed over. His hands were trembling. The next second, the handcuffs on Meredith's hands were ripped apart by Derek.

He gently held Meredith in his arms and strode away from the torturous place.

Derek stared at the people in the police station with red eyes. Very well. These people were really bold to treat his girl like this.

He would let everyone here know what would happen if they crossed the line, and it would not be better than staying in hell.

After Derek and his men left, the sofficer slumped into the chair, sweating all over, as if his heart was about to jump out of his throat.

He looked out of the door in a daze, and he had a clear feeling when he thought of the look Derek gave him before he left.

He was doomed. He was doomed for sure.

Derek strode toward his apartment with Meredith in his arms and contacted the family doctor to wait there.

In the car, he held the motionless woman in his arms and stared at her closed eyes. His eyes were full of pain and anger. He was angry with himself.

He really wanted to give himself a slap at the moment. He had clearly promised not to let her suffer any harm.

However, it was only a short time ago that something happened to Meredith again, and it happened in his territory, in his company. Thinking of this, Derek really wanted to kill himself.
