The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 413

Nora was trying hard to remove the large hand around her neck. Her breathing became slow and her face turned red. She felt very uncomfortable.

She coughed and said, "Let me go.”

At this time, she heard a ping sound. Then a black car crashed into the iron gate of the Joneses. With a loud noise, the iron gate was knocked open, which frightened the servants to scream who were working outside the yard.

Sheldon, who was on the second floor, heard the noise. When he looked up, he saw Derek get off the car. A trace of terror flashed in Sheldon’s eyes, which he himself didn't notice. He subconsciously loosened his hand.

Nora could breathe and she pushed Sheldon away hard. However, because of inertia, she fell from the window.

She screamed.

Derek just saw that when he got out of the car. His pupils shrank, feeling that his heart stopped beating. Before he realized what happened, his body responded first and he rushed over. Fortunately, the window on the second floor was not far from the courtyard below. Derek ran to catch Nora. With the force, he rolled on the grass twice.

Nora had fainted. Looking at her her pale face and bloody body, Derek immediately took off his coat to cover her, with a heavy pain flashing in his eyes

He suddenly looked up and met Sheldon's eyes. Sheldon, who was by the window of the second floor, hurriedly retreated. He opened the door and rushed out.

Derek wanted to kill Sheldon to vent his anger, but it was too good for Nora. Moreover, Derek was worried about Nora. He took a look at Damian and carried Nora to the car and left.

Damian ordered his men to knock out Sheldon and took him away. He left too.

At the Xaviers's villa.

Nora was lying in bed unconsciously.

"Mr. Xavier, I have treated the bruises of the patient. There are no other serious injuries. Her coma is caused by panic attack. When she wakes up, she will get well after several days' rest.”

After sending the doctor out, Damian went back to the room and whispered, "Boss, there's something I need to report.”

Derek glanced at him. He knew that under such circumstances if it wasn't an emergency, Damian wouldn't have told him specifically. He looked at Nora and tucked her in. Then he walked out. "What is it?"

Damian pursed his lips, "Two men in the car which we are tracking during the day are dead. Sheldon goes crazy.”

His face suddenly darkened and he looked at Damian, with his brows furrowing, "What's going on?" "I asked someone to check. They have taken a poison. After research, the poison will kill them twelve hours later. That is to say, they took the poison twelve hours ago.”

"According to the surveillance, they probably didn't know they had taken the poison.”

"The same story with Sheldon. The reason of his craziness is that there is a toxin, which will destroy cranial nerves, in his body and it will take effect 12 hours later.”

Derek looked unhappy. The craziness of Sheldon and the death of the men showed that there was someone behind it.

Of course, he had noticed this before. But he hadn't found out the reason.

Now it seemed that what had happened to Nora was not as simple as he had thought. It felt bad to lose control of something. Derek had not experienced it for a long time.

Nora was in a coma. Everyone thought she would wake up the next day. But two days passed, there was no sign that she would wake up.

Derek asked a lot of doctors to come over. Every one of them came to the same conclusion. Nora's body function was normal. At the moment, she was more likely to sleep. They couldn't find out the reason why she didn't wake up after such a long time.

Because of this, Derek has been irritable these days.

But day by day, Nora had been lying in bed for six days. Her breathing was normal and her face was rosy. Her wounds were healed long ago.

If people hadn't known that she has been lying in bed for many days, they would have thought she was asleep.

On the seventh day, Nora finally opened her eyes slowly.

There was no one in the room. Nora blinked her dry eyes. Her clear eyes seemed to be covered with a layer of fog, she couldn't see clearly.

She was lying in bed and staring at the ceiling, not knowing what was in her mind. Nora didn't know how she had been in a coma. But she opened her eyes this, she had a feeling of separating the world.

Because she had restored her lost memory.

She remembered what happened in the past, including the things in the past five years.

She was lying on the bed like this. After a long time, the door was gently opened. Seeing her was awake, Derek was ecstatic and almost came at her.

"Nora, you're finally awake. How are you? Are you feeling all right?"

A familiar voice came, Nora blinked her eyes and then slowly closed, not saying a word. She didn't know what to say, nor did she want to face Derek for the time being. She could only avoid him.

But Derek was shocked to see Nora like this. He thought that she didn't feel well. He was going to call the doctor. Nora had to stop him.

"No." Her voice was hoarse.

Derek breathed a sigh of relief. He immediately took the warm water and wanted to feed her. Nora raised her hand to stop him.

She struggled to sit up with her hands. She had not eaten for so many days, only relying on the nutrient solution to meet her body needs. Naturally, she was weak.

Derek wanted to help her up, but she refused again firmly.

He could not help but frown, noticing that Nora's attitude was different. But for the time being, he could only come down to that she was just awake; Or she may not recover because she was frightened by Sheldon.

Derek asked the butler to bring some porridge and dishes. Nora did not refuse this. But She asked him out in a light tone.

He did not dare to provoke her. So, he agreed.

The room became quiet again. Nora looked at the empty room and then looked down slightly, having the porridge silently. No one knew what she was thinking.

In the afternoon, she regained some strength. So, she washed up, changed her clothes and went downstairs. Easton immediately ran over in excitement.

"Mom."

She didn't show much emotion after she woke up. Now, she finally smiled. Sitting on the sofa, she held Easton in her arms tightly.

The little boy was puzzled, "Mom?"

"It's okay. I just haven't seen you for a long time. I misses you very much.” Nora smiled.

Easton didn't think much. He pouted with grievance. Nora had been in a coma for a long time. Yes, it was a long time.
