Chapter 370
Nora was not particularly familiar with Sean
During these five years, she had met Mr. Gray several times the first two years and had barely seen him since then.
At the age of 50, he looked like he was in his early forties because of his proper maintenance. He was handsome and elegant with his tall stature. The deposit of time made him look charming.
He looked at Nora with a smile on his lips, "Girl, I didn't expect you to be at this party.”
Nora fixed her dress and nodded with a smile, "My boss needs a female companion, so he took me as a temporary replacement.” She wouldn't explain her relationship with Derek in so much detail. Sean nodded and casually handed her a glass of champagne, "By the way, we haven't seen each other for a long time. It's been so long. How about having a nice talk with me?"
She wouldn't refuse.
"I've been abroad for the past few years, and I just came back a while ago. I heard that there seems to be some conflict between you and Sheldon?" He took a sip of the wine and said casually.
Nora pursed her lips. She didn't expect him to start talking about this topic, but it was reasonable. After all, he was Sheldon’s uncle, and it was natural for him to care about his nephew.
"I've watched Sheldon grow up. I've witnessed how you get along these five years. Sheldon has never been so interested in a girl."
Nora didn't say anything, but she could guess what Sean was going to say.
"Although he is from the collateral branch of the Joneses, as his uncle, I value him very much. In the future, I am also prepared to trust him with the Jones Group.”
"Nora, conflict happens, but you two have been together for five years. After all, your relationship was not that easy to be broken. What do you think?" Sean looked at her.
Sean knew about Sheldon kneeling in the coffee shop, and Nora's attitude was important to him. He did not expect that the seemingly soft Nora would not change her attitude at all in that situation
It took him five years to get the pawn ready, so he didn't want anything to go wrong. He couldn't pin all his hopes on that stupid Sheldon, so he had to solve the problem himself.
But Sean forgot that although he had saved Nora, Nora didn't know that.
In his plan, under his deliberate misguidance, Nora had always thought that Sheldon was the one who saved her, and Sean was just an unfamiliar elder in the Joneses.
She never changed her mind about Sheldon, her savior, let alone Sean.
"Mr. Gray, love is the most complicated and inexplicable thing. I have always been grateful to Sheldon and the Joneses, but as for my relationship with Sheldon, let it be.”
Nora said awkwardly, afraid that Sean would persuade her again, and simply said, "Mr. Gray, the party is about to start. I'll go to my boss first.”
After she finished speaking, she lifted her skirt slightly and walked away quickly, not seeing the gloomy expression in Sean's eyes behind her.
Nora saw that there was a chair in the garden ahead with no one around, so she planned to go over and sit down.
At this moment, a waiter with a tray passed her. Suddenly, the waiter seemed to have lost his balance and his body shook violently, bumping into Nora.
With his wrist tilted, a glass of red wine from the tray spilled all over Nora, from her shoulder to her chest, almost all of it.
Nora was startled and gave a short and soft cry. She backed away and almost fell to the ground. The waiter was also frightened, his pale face full of fear, and his whole body trembling, "Yes, I'm sorry, Miss. I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry.”
No one would be in a good mood when meeting such an unforeseen disaster, and neither would Nora. However, it was not that easy for her to lose her temper, and the waiter was so scared, which made her not bear to scold.
"Forget it, you didn't mean it."
Nora sighed and smelled the strong smell of alcohol. A large area of wine stain on her chest was very obvious, and the sticky feeling on her skin was very uncomfortable, so she couldn't help but ask.
"Can you take me to the bathroom? I need to clean up.”
The waiter immediately nodded, "Of course, Miss, I'll take you straight to the dressing room. You can pick out a dress and put it on. This is what our villa specially prepared for the female guests to avoid such an accident."
"You can rest assured that every dress was designed and made by one designated designer and then send over. They arrived yesterday.” The implication was that these dresses were all completely new.
The red wine stain was not easy to clean, and it was obviously better to change to another one. Nora nodded and followed the waiter to the second floor of the villa.
"This is the dressing room of our villa. Please come in. Do you need me to watch over for you outside?" The waiter was very respectful.
"No, you can leave. I can do it myself."
"Okay."
After the waiter closed the door for her, the respectful expression on his face immediately changed With the strong malice in his eyes, he took out a key from his pocket and gently inserted it into the keyhole. After a turn, the door was locked from the outside with a slight click sound.
At this moment, a pink figure appeared at the front staircase. It was the girl who had a physical conflict with Nora in the banquet lounge.
Her name was Rose, and she was a relative of the mayor.
The waiter immediately walked over and handed her the key, "Miss, I've done my job. She's locked in"
Rose rubbed the keys in her hands, a vicious smile on her elegant face, and she sneered at the door of the dressing room.
"Bitch, you dare to fight me on my place. You're really searching for death. I will teach you a lesson today."
Rose turned around and left. The waiter immediately followed her.
After they went downstairs, they came straight out from the back door and went to the area under the window of the dressing room on the second floor along the corner. There were two other waiters standing there long ago, with a ladder beside them.
"Is everything ready?" Rose asked coldly.
"Yes, Miss."
One of the waiters answered and took out a black cloth bag from the corner of the wall. Although she could not see what was inside, she could still see that the thing in the cloth bag was writhing, obviously something alive.
"Miss, please take a look."
The waiter unwrapped the opening of the bag. Under the moonlight, there were snakes that were as thick as an adult's thumb. There were at least dozens of them.
