The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 143

"Why do you look so aggrieved?”

Seeing her like this, Derek softened his tone involuntarily. He had just wanted to tell Meredith that she shouldn't hide anything from him, but he didn't expect to be turned on by her hot body and almost hurt her.

"Of course you don't care, but what if... my neighbors just saw me? What do you think they would think of me? A slutty woman.”

Because of the grievance, Meredith did not bear it anymore, but said what she thought.

Derek was hurt by the sadness in her eyes. He thought of something and then fell into silence. Seeing this, Meredith smiled bitterly.

How could someone like Derek understand her feelings? To a man like him, it was just a small piece of juicy news that he had a relationship with some woman, but to an ordinary person like her, it was a disaster.

He probably couldn't understand the difference.

"Thank you for bringing dinner today, but since there's nothing else, you should leave so that your family members won't be worried."

Meredith also did not want to pester with Derek, so she was directly going to chase him away. However, after waiting for a long time, Meredith did not hear the sound of the door closing at all. Only then did she see Derek coming over, his face somewhat gloomy.

Was he angry at what she just said?

Meredith thought that Derek was going to scold her for being ungrateful and not telling right from wrong, but she didn’t expect that the man was just sitting beside her calmly. "What you said makes sense. I had some prejudice against you before, but I will change it in the future.”

Meredith was stunned for a moment. When did Derek become so gentle?

Seeing that she didn't speak, Derek didn't say anything more, but he didn't leave either. Instead, he got into Meredith's bed rudely.

"Since you won't tell me, I can only use some special means.”

Derek looked at Meredith's confused face. "I'll stay tonight.”

Meredith was shocked. "What? He stays?"

The house she rented was just a small one bedroom. There was no place for him to sleep. If he had to stay, then...

Unless they slept in the same bed.

"It's so confined here, there's no place...”

Meredith immediately refused, but Derek turned a deaf ear and lay down directly and snatched Meredith's pillow to sleep.

Since Meredith refused to tell him what she had just kept from him, he had to stay with her so that she wouldn't act rashly.

Seeing that she could not kick him out, Meredith had to give up.

"Then you sleep outside.” Meredith pointed to the sofa outside. She didn't want to share a bed with Derek. It was too dangerous.

"No, your sofa is so small. How can I get to sleep?”

Meredith was furious. "Why didn't I notice that he was so shameless before?" She thought.

"Then I'll go, okay?" Meredith was going out with the quilt in her arms. She wanted to spend the night on the sofa.

"Don’t go. Come on! Your bed is not that small. It's perfect for two people.”

Derek pulled Meredith and pressed her against the bed. Meredith was so scared that she didn't dare to move, afraid of turning him on again. Surprisingly, Derek didn't do anything, just hugged her quietly.

Meredith lay in his warm arms for a while, gradually getting sleepy. She relaxed her vigilance, and unconsciously fell asleep.

Derek looked at the woman in his arms and gently got out of bed and turned off the light.

Later, he went out and called Damian. "Find out who Meredith has called today."
