Chapter 38: The Lion's Triumph
[Skill Name: Ultimate Berserker]
[Active Skill]
[Mana Cost: None]
[Information: Converts all the damage taken by the owner's body into attribute points. This is based on the owner's hp depletion. The damage stacks up indefinitely, adding all damage taken by the skill owner before the skill is used. The amount resets for every use.]
This is what the skill would look like when seen from the Gamer's System. The skill is the final variation of the [Berserker] skill.
Although overpowered at its final form, the skill is actually a [Passive] at its starting grade. And, the activation of the skill isn't easy at all. To get the skill to work, a person needs to drop his or her health to specifically a single point left – otherwise the skill won't activate.
A basically needs to go through a lot of life or death situations in order to get [Ultimate Berserker]. Making it virtually impossible to attain. However, Gallio is not limited to a single body and, as he abused the hosts he enters into, he was able to keep upgrading [Berserker]. And although his initial plan is to get revenge, he now plans to kill even the gods.
"That's the stuff." Gallio said, stretching his body and snapping his neck.
If only Zeke was in the area and saw Gallio at his current form, he'd see how monstrous the First King is. With all attributes and even the level displaying [?].
"Inferno Blaze!" The King shouted, creating a larger hurricane of fire at where Gallio is currently standing. This is the most powerful fire spell the King has at his disposal.
"Immortal Aegis!" He continued, creating dozens of layers of invisible shields around his body.
"Didn't I tell you that, brute strength is enough for me to win?" Gallio said, swinging his blade once and cutting the hurricane in two. The spell exploded showing an undamaged Gallio.
"Total Freeze!" The King continued, using an ice magic that can stop any opponent at its tracks.
Gallio turned into ice but, the spell shattered a second after Gallio was covered by it. Again, no further damage was done to him.contemporary romance
The King then pointed at the sky which has now covered the moon with an ominous and swirling cluster of clouds.
"Lightning Dragon!" A flash of light falling from the sky immediately followed the King's words. A dragon shaped lightning made its way and devoured Gallio. This monster thrashed its body throughout the city before ascending again and being absorbed into the clouds.
The king coughed blood from the constant use of high-level spells. He thought that this would be enough to finish off his opponent. Yet, he was proven wrong once again. After the lightning dissolved, Gallio appeared in front of him. Again, without a hint of getting damaged by the onslaught of ultimate level spells.
"My turn." Gallio said, going into the stance that he has honed to perfection. With the blade stretched at his back and, with a sprinting position, he bolted at his enemy.
Aeolus didn't even have time to respond. As soon as he blinked, the blow was made. This sent him flying, destroying ten houses in the process. All the layers of immortal aegis have also been broken and, even his mithril armor has been shattered to pieces. He coughed more blood as he stood from the blow; thinking how he is left with enough mana for a single ultimate spell.
"I'll give you a chance." Gallio said, not making another attack.
"I want to beat you when you've given your all, otherwise I can't call this as a total victory." He continued, as if insulting Aeolus' consistent effort to bring him down during this fight.
"You're going to regret this." The king said, covering the whole city square with a spell mark. The mana reserves he wore shattered from overusing mana but, he knows that this is a small price to pay for his victory.
"Ultimate wind spell! Fury of Aeolus!" A giant hurricane, bigger than anything he has spawned thus far suddenly appeared. It sucked up everything within the area and looked nothing short of a natural disaster. The wind which makes up the spell is as sharp as the blades that could cut through mithril.
"It's over." King Aeolus said, raising his sword as the hurricane continued to swirl in a ravenous rage. This spell has never failed the king. On the other two instances he has used it in the past, nothing was ever left of the victims of the spell's onslaught.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" The voice froze the king in place. He dropped his sword and pointed it at the hurricane, knowing where the voice came from.
"You actually named a spell after you? Oh that's rich." The hurricane thinned out little by little. All the air seems to be swallowed into a single direction and, it didn't take long for Gallio to reappear. Again…undamaged.
His sword swallowed the skill as all the air came toward its direction. Gallio raised it, smiling with a face that not even his wife would recognize.
"Pitiful. Pitiful king Aeolus." He said after devouring the whole skill.
Gallio's opponent is still standing but, without any mana and with most of his equipment destroyed, he's nothing more than a simple warrior.
"Do you even know why my household's insignia shows a lion devouring the wind?" Gallio continued, looking more menacing by each passing second.
"It's because, no matter what wind spell you direct at us, we will only consume it." Slowly, Gallio's body started regenerating. The king watched in horror as this happened.
"Let me get that for you." Gallio said, punching Aeolus at the stomach. The king couldn't react to the strike and just dropped to the ground from the feeling of his ribs cracking.
"We're done." At this, the pocket dimension vanished.
On the battlefield which they left, the corpse of Erio is now bathing in his own blood. Glade stood over the body, with his sword stabbing the back of the defeated General. His armor also took damage but, nevertheless, no serious injuries were attained by Glade.
"Well done my descendant." Were the words that followed Glade's accomplishment.
