The Fox’s Tale

Chapter The Sinclairs

Afterwards, as she snuggled against me I showered her hair with kisses. “How did I ever get this lucky?” I whispered.

“I was just asking myself the same thing.” She lifted her face to smile at me. “I’m so lucky.”

“I seem to recall you saying that I was your punishment for sins against the universe.”

“True, but that was because you had me tied into emotional knots and I’ve had to suffer through years of sexual deprivation.” She rested her head on my chest.

“Now, none of that matters. Perhaps I shall give your previous lovers commendations instead of demanding their heads.”

I tensed up and she began to laugh. “I’m kidding, Alexander, I’m kidding. I’m not going to kill them or harm them.”

“It’s not that. I mean, I’m glad you don’t want them dead, but I just remembered what you said about feeling all of that.”

“I’m not going to lie, it sucked. Now, I rather enjoy it.” Her fingers toyed with my chest hair.

I pulled back and gasped. “Wait a minute, you feel what I’m feeling when we’re having sex, don’t you?”

She bit her lip and grinned up at me. “I do. You are a very talented lover, Alexander Vos, but it’s a rare thing for orgasms to sync up as closely as ours do.”

“You minx! Damn, I’m jealous.”

Ellery’s expression darkened. “You wouldn’t say that if you knew what I went through. I was at a formal dinner celebrating Emerson and Aurelia’s engagement when you discovered masturbation. I climaxed in front of everyone at the table because I didn’t know what was happening.”

I was mortified. “Oh my gods.”

Ellery chuckled. “That’s when Billy’s dad taught me how to make pocket universes to hide in for whenever you ‘acted up’ as he put it. I used them a lot at first, but then I developed the ability to control my response to it. Although, whenever you added a new skill or technique I did get flustered.”

She grazed one of my nipples with her teeth. “The first time a girl bit your nipple I started to cry because it hurt so much, but that was better than the first time you got spanked. I was in the car with Fitz coming home from basketball practice when that went down. His response of ‘that kinky son of bitch, I like him already,’ didn’t help.”

“Oh my gods!” I buried my face in my free hand. “How will I ever look anyone in your family in the face?” I groaned.

“If I can after those things you certainly can.”

I pulled my hand and way and gazed down at her with remorse. “I’m so sorry.”

Ellery kissed my ribs. “You had no way of knowing, and it isn’t your fault I am the way I am.”

“Still, that had to have been awful for you. I mean, I’ve been….”

“With dozens of women?” she asked, her eyebrow arched in a cheeky challenge.

“Yeah,” I muttered as my face grew hot from shame.

“It used to bother me a lot because I wasn’t the one bringing you that pleasure, but I took comfort in the fact that you never stayed with anyone for very long. It meant no one else had laid a claim on your heart.”

She kissed my chest again before continuing. “I did have a hard time not hurting Lisa though. That one hurt more than expected, but I had a certain amount of grim satisfaction in how often you had to masturbate after you finally saw me.”

“Oh you did, did you?” I asked, my shame quickly being replaced by arousal.

“Very much.”

“Did you return the favor?” I whispered, stroking her hair.

“At least once a week since I turned thirteen. I told you, Foxy, there’s never been a day when I haven’t felt you.”

A disturbing thought occurred to me. “You don’t feel all of my biological systems like this do you?” I begged, horrified by the prospect.

Ellery knew right away what I meant. “You mean like digestion?”

I nodded.

“Fortunately, no. Like I can tell if you have to go if I’m touching you, but that’s true with everyone. If I touch someone I can feel everything they are feeling, but it doesn’t make me have to go. Now, if you’re sick or in pain, I will feel it regardless, but it doesn’t make me bleed or puke.”

“So that time I got food poisoning?”

“Felt it, but didn’t throw up. I came pretty close though.” She grimaced.

“And when I broke my hand in fifth grade?”

“Felt it, knew exactly what was wrong, but did not get a broken hand myself. When we were little though? That’s another story. It’s why I wasn’t able to go to school until I was ten. I used to hate that I couldn’t go to school, and now I wish I could go back to having tutors.”

She sighed and snuggled against me further.

“Why won’t your parents let you?” It struck me as cruel to subject her to the onslaught of a building full of teenage emotions every day.

Ellery sat up and put an imperious expression on her face. “Ellery,” she intoned in a deeper than normal voice, “as a future queen you must learn to not only to master your powers, but how to move amongst your subjects and humans alike. You cannot hide away forever, little Elderflower.”

She rolled her eyes and returned to snuggle against me.

“Wow, you dad sounds…..intense.”

An odd expression crossed her face. “He can be.”

“What’s the matter Elly? I’ve started to learn what that look means. Something is bothering you.”

She sighed. “My family is…..I don’t know how to explain them.”

“They’re not going to be waiting for us outside the suite’s doors are they?”

Ellery looked horrified at that prospect. “They didn’t with the boys. They better not, but I wouldn’t put it past Jojo.”

“What will happen when we have to leave?”

“You know, I don’t really know. There will be a lot to sort out, I do know that. With Emerson and Elliott, Papa and Mumsy had Aurelia and Mary’s parents over for brunch. We’ve known Billy’s family forever so my parents just took Ethan and Billy to dinner. I was only five when Jojo and Sabrina got married, so I have no clue what happened after their time in the suite. I’ll have to ask them.

“And of course, Fitz is still waiting. His Other is five years younger than him and so he’s waiting for her to turn seventeen at least. He’s finally a little more understanding of my lifelong predicament.” She turned to me, concerned, and picked up my hand. “Why are you nervous all of a sudden?”

“Your family is huge, powerful, rich, and royalty. Can you blame a guy for being nervous?”

She kissed my hand. “They aren’t perfect or anything. Would it make you feel better if I told you about each of them, including some embarrassing stories?”

I nodded and Ellery started to talk. She talked and talked and talked. She told me how Ethan was the head of security for the Sinclairs and that Billy was a scout for future royal guardsmen and women.

How when, after years of being best friends, Ethan realized that Billy was his Other he’d locked himself in his room for three days and didn’t come out until Jones picked the lock and shoved Billy inside. Then they’d both come back out and disappeared into the Suite.

Then she told me about how Emerson works as an ambassador and that’s how he met Aurelia who was visiting her grandparents in Romania. She told me that Emerson’s powers were persuasive in nature and that he talked so much and so fast about his love for Aurelia that the room caught on fire. That was the reason behind his formal and old fashioned way of speaking.

Aurelia’s power magnifies powers in others and it was the only way he found that he could talk without causing chaos every time he opened his mouth. How Aurelia’s powers meant she and Ellery didn’t spend much time together, but that Ellery was the only one who knew that Aurelia was already pregnant with her second child.

Then I heard all about how Elliott and Mary worked as advisors to the family; Elliott was in charge of keeping tabs on all supernatural beings on Sinclair lands and adjacent areas, which when I pressed for more details turned out to be an area that covered the majority of the Shenandoah Valley area and huge swathes of the Appalachian trail.

You could never play hide and seek with Elliott as the seeker so one time they hid in one of Billy’s pocket universes and watched Elliott freak out. Mary worked with Ethan in some capacity but Ellery wasn’t sure what she did, although she suspected that it involved data gathering. Mary was also pregnant and didn’t realize it.

She told me how Fitz was pursuing a medical degree because his powers were in the healing arts, and he wanted to have the credentials to cover his magic. They’d all played basketball and had made her play against them so they could learn what their tells were, which is how she got to have such good defensive skills.

When she paused for air I said, bewildered, “my parents are lawyers, and we can turn into foxes whenever we want. That’s it.”

Ellery laughed and ducked her head. “Sorry. I know it’s a lot to absorb.”

“You didn’t tell me about Jones.”

“I didn’t?” Ellery looked down and then sat up, her hair falling across her breasts. I pushed it back so I could continue to admire them.

“No, Princess, you didn’t.”

“Okay, promise me that you won’t freak out.”

“Of course I won’t freak out.” My mind began to wander as I thought about the things I wanted to do to her and a shirt appeared on her hiding what I had been thinking about from view. I whined in protest. “No fair.”

“You weren’t going to listen to what I have to tell you, and it’s important.”

“If I behave, can they come back out?” I asked, reaching for the hem of the shirt.

She swatted my hand. “Yes, and you can even cum all over them when they do.”

“Ellery….as if I will be able to think of anything else now.” My gods, I was harder than a steel rod.

“You were already thinking about it.”

“You said you weren’t psychic!” I protested.

“Was that a thought though? Or was it a primal desire?”

I frowned at her and then grinned. “Desire. You have to admit it will be a stunning sight.”

“Alexander, please.”

“Okay, okay, tell me about Jones,” I said as I sat up, wincing a little as my dick twitched in protest that it wasn’t getting attention.

“You asked me about what I did at the game. Well, Jones was the one who taught me how to do that. It’s one of his main powers; the ability to regulate the emotions in others. He also taught me a lot of other things about my powers and just in general.

“He taught me how to ride a bike, he taught me how to throw a punch, he taught me how to drive, not that I get to, and everything he knows about basketball.” She blew some of her hair out of her face. “And he did all of these things because Jones isn’t my brother. He’s my biological father.”
