The Forbidden Freshman: A College Sports Romance (Nolan U Hockey Book 1)

The Forbidden Freshman: Chapter 44

Mikayla snores when she sleeps.

It’s not a loud jet plane kind of roar. More like a soft buzz that I could fall asleep to. A rhythmic lilt that is lulling me toward dreamland… until my brain stops it just before I completely drift away.

Sleep’s been kind of impossible tonight. For some reason, I can’t black out. It’s like I don’t want to miss one second of this.

Mikayla’s small body is spooned within mine, my hand tucked beneath her right boob, my head on the pillow behind her.

My cock has finally had his fill after four rounds, each one blowing my mind in a different way. Just the reminder makes him twitch, but I order him back into submission. I don’t want to hurt her. She denied it, but I could tell that last time she was kind of sensitive, and I would have stopped if she hadn’t begged me to keep going.

I’m glad she did. We came at the same time, our cries mingling together while she milked me dry. I just lay on her, unable to move for a minute as I drank in her tired smile, then lightly pressed our lips together.

She loves me.

She left Sig Be house for me. Walked right out the door with all her stuff.

It’s kind of epic, and I don’t know if any other girl on campus would do that for me. Sure, they flirt and swoon and act like I’m a walking hockey god, but would they really give up so much to be with me?

I need to unpack the details a little more on her mother and that weird-ass condition she gave Mikayla. If she’s quit the sorority, does that mean her mom will stop paying for her tuition? That’s crazy.

Mikayla murmurs something incoherent in her sleep, and I can’t help smiling, brushing my lips across her smooth shoulder and trying to wrap my head around the wonder of her.

I’ve never let a girl sleep over before. This is all so new. I thought I’d hate it—someone in my space, stealing my covers—but it’s pretty fucking awesome.

Sure, I haven’t slept much, but the feel of her curled up against me, completely relaxed in my arms is… I can’t even describe how cool it is.

The level of trust that comes with that. She’s naked right now, asleep in a house full of guys. Not that any of them would touch her, but still. I’m kind of honored. She knows I’ll protect her… even if it’s just on a subconscious level.

I’m her Captain Hero. I grin.

My eyes drift shut as I let my own body relax. My mind starts to float again, and this time I let it go, finally falling into darkness… until there’s a pounding on my door.

“Time to pay up, big guy! Let’s go!”

Shit! My head pops off the pillow, and I’m instantly alert while Mikayla lets out a soft moan of complaint.

“I know what you got up to last night, man! I’m not deaf,” Asher calls through the wood. “Now, get your ass up and get dressed. Actually, scratch that. You don’t need to get dressed.” He starts laughing, and I clutch Mikayla a little tighter against me.

Shit, shit, shit!

The bet. The fucking bet.

Sure, it whistled through my brain a couple times last night, but I told it to fuck off, because there was no way I wasn’t showing Mikayla how much I wanted her. We connected on a whole new level last night, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

If it means I have to walk around campus naked today, then so be it.

I groan, squeezing my eyes shut and cursing my cocky ass for agreeing to such a stupid bet in the first place.
