Cherokee came to see me last night. He asked permission to marry my daughter. I gave it to him. And is going to take Rain out for dinner and ask her to marry him."

Her brothers are fine with it as well."

"Now it is up to Rain if she wants to marry Cherokee or not."

As the day of the wedding drew closer the clubhouse was fired upon. My baby girl was shot and fighting for her life. Cherokee refused to leave her side."

"He prayed by her side day and night. And swore he would find out who shot his woman. And make them pay,"

"In the meantime, he didn't know it was one of his friends who ordered the shooting. He felt that Rain should have been marrying him that day and he didn't get she was not interested in him."

"When Cherokee finds out it was his friend he will not let him get off that easily. He will make him pay with his life."

"His father and their VP are doing an investigation."

Then a prospect overheard, Ripper laughing about how he shot Rain and watched her pretty white dress turning red and Cherokee holding her in his arms."

"The prospect went to Cherokee's father and told him who shot Rain."

Immediately Ripper was grabbed by members and taken to the small garage at the edge of town."

"He laughed and said she must be dead by now."

"No Ripper Rain is not dead. She is slowly healing Cherokee said. The questioning started and Cherokee was shocked that Ripper tried to kill the woman he loved and loved him."

" Cherokee started beating Ripper and then each club member started to beat him. Ripper was beaten to death and then his body burned and his bones collected and buried in the woods."

When it was finished I went back to Tommy's clubhouse to talk to Rain. Let her know she is safe again and the person who shot her was dead and who he was."

"She was shocked she couldn't believe that Ripper had shot her to take her away from me for good."

The clubhouse was quiet waiting for better news about Rain."

"We talked about her having her wedding and honeymoon."

I kissed her forehead and turned and walked out the door. I thought about how close we had come to losing our daughter."

I know when they get back from the honeymoon she will be moving to Cherokee's clubhouse." I thought about the runs we have to do this coming week.

"We are going to be doing a toy run to gather toys for kids in foster care, And money."

"I used to work in foster care years ago but always think about the foster kids and not getting a Christmas as they should get."

"We will deliver the gifts and money to the Bear Company a foster care agency."

"They will have a good Christmas this year. We always choose a different foster care agency each year."

The next run we will be doing is to visit other clubs that are allied with us."

I love to go on the runs with Dragon."

We got into his truck and he drove us to the clubhouse. We unloaded the truck and carried everything to the kitchen."

We then sat at the table talking all of us Valkyrie."

"We wondered why Tommy called for a lockdown. We will know soon enough I am sure."

In the meantime, we started to work on the quilt that we had not finished. It is for Rain." It is beautiful and I want one just like it."

"Someday I will make me one. I can work on it at home."

"I stood up and walked over to the table to get a spoil of threat."

"We had run out of the first one we were using."

"Soon we were sewing the quilt together and an hour later it was finished. We laid it out on two long tables and stood back admiring. the quilt.

We wrapped it up and placed our name card on it before putting it with the other gifts."
