The Fallen Angel

Chapter 16

Gabriel closed and locked the door behind them once they entered Jasmine’s home. She hadn’t spoken much since they dropped off Xavier and Gabriel could tell something was wrong with her. Her face was swollen from crying and deep inside her depth she was thinking about her next move. Thinking of humanity’s fate which made her seem so small and depression oozed from her pores. Gabriel wished he could take it away from her, but knew this inner battle had to be won by her and her alone.

“I’m so sorry Jasmine. I know this can’t be easy for you. I’m here for whatever you need.” He encouraged as he placed the keys on the table.

She walked back up to him staring deeply in his eyes. She grabbed his hands and led him into the bedroom sitting him down on it. She kissed him deeply, longingly, and passionately with a mix of her salty tears. Gabriel held her close as she wrapped her legs around his lap as he pulled her close. If this was how she wanted him he wouldn’t argue and help her release a little tension off of her shoulders anyway he could.

She snapped away the buttons of his shirt and then his jeans wasting no time pulling his dick out and sucking away. She sucked until he moaned loudly as he held her curly strands back from her face so he could look at her. Once he was hard enough she undressed herself, pulling down her underwear and lifted her dress as she settled herself on top of him. She groaned and threw her head back as Gabriel kissed her exposed neck, rubbing his tongue down her pulse all the way down to her breast as he used one hand to cup her left and the other holding her hips. Jasmine held her arms around his neck as she sat back up, staring into his eyes. There was love for her there and knew she loved him too.

Placing her forehead against his she started this bouncy ride causing Gabriel to suck in his breath and moan low as he let her have her way with him. He could only hold on for dear life as the feeling washed over him. Jasmine bit into his shoulder once she felt herself close to cuming. Her muscles tensed and she squeezed really hard causing Gabriel to throw his head back with a loud AW moan that shattered them both.

They were panting and still feeling the aftershocks, but Jasmine didn’t move from on top of him instead she just laid her head on his shoulder and held him there. He rested his chin on the top of her head as he wrapped his arms around her, holding her together. After a few moments of sitting that way Gabriel turned her over so that he was on top of her. His hips rocked back and forward to build the blood back into his penis so they could go another round. His hands gently removed the hair from her face as he looked her in her eyes.

“I love you, Jasmine.” He said. “You are so beautiful to me, mind, body and spirit.” She opened her mouth to speak in shock, but Gabriel kissed her before she could respond. His hips surged forward causing her to scream out and moan as he continued his arms wrapped her leg so she couldn’t run as he lifted them on his shoulders thrusting deeper into her as he did so.

“Aw Gabriel…Aww.” She couldn’t speak anymore as the pressure was becoming overwhelming and her heart was about to burst from the amount of love he poured into her. She wanted this night to last forever, but she knew what she would have to do tomorrow.

Gabriel woke in a fright as something warned him to wake up. He fell asleep from Jasmine’s love making and hadn’t realized he had. His eyes wandered around the dark bedroom removing the covers from his body as he realized Jasmine wasn’t at his side. His heart started to pound.

Had he blown it with her by telling her he loved her? She would’ve ran from him for saying it for sure thinking she was holding him back. He called out for her as he searched the bathroom and more fear started to spring into his heart. He grabbed his sweats from the floor and jerked them on while he continued.

“Jasmine!” he called her name to receive no answer. He hit the door hinge as he ran out to the living room then the kitchen, seeing a knife with blood on it. “No.” A voice in his ear whispered for him to go on the roof of the building and he hurried doing just that. His heart paused as his feet stopped running as he saw her standing on the ledge.

“Jasmine…please…” His voice cracked as he noticed the cuts on her wrist healing and the cuts on her legs. He slept through all of that. Was that her plan to fuck him so good he wouldn’t be up to help her through it? She turned to him, tears in her eyes.

“I’m sorry Gabriel. I’m so sorry.”

Gabriel shook his head. “Don’t be. Just come down from there.” He inched a little closer afraid he would send her over the edge.

“I can’t do it. I can’t be the one to decide the fate of everyone. I’m fucked up. I can’t say others deserve to die when I’m walking around just as bad.” She confessed honestly. “The Almighty chose wrong. They say The Almighty won’t put too much on you than you can bear, but I can’t handle this. I can’t even tell you I love you…I’m only holding you back.”

Several tears fell from his eyes as he wiped them away. “Jasmine you don’t have to tell me you love. I know you do. Please just come down. Don’t do this!” He held his hand out for her to take it but she only smiled at him and proceeded to jump. “No!” Gabriel’s eyes widened as he leaned over the building jumping after her. He propelled himself down catching her right before she hit the ground and turning her so his back would be the one to hit the car down below. He closed his eyes waiting on the end, but instead he was lifted into the air and back on the roof with Jasmine safe in his arms.

He looked down, gently slapping her to wake her, but she didn’t respond. Trying anything now, he ignited his entire body and placed her hands on her chest hoping she would be able to heal herself and wake up, but her arms fell limp, outstretched beside her. She passed out from the fall causing Gabriel to panic. At least she was back in the bed now, but Gabriel couldn’t calm down as his hands nearly pulled his disheveled hair from his face, placing his palms on his eyes groaning as he did so from frustration.

He called anyone he could to check on her, Xavier and desperately called Raina using Jasmine’s computer to find the number to her club once he was able to think clearly. He paced the bedroom and looked past the mirror to see his wings. He looked at them confused as they were back and black behind him. There was no time to think though as a knock came at the door as Gabriel hurried to answer it.

“Raina. I’m sorry I didn’t know who else to call.” He panicked.

Raina looked him up and down. “You have your wings back?” She observed. “How did that happen?”

“I’m not sure. It’s not about me right now. Jasmine needs your help.” Gabriel escorted Raina into Jasmine’s room to her sleeping comatose body. Raina placed her hands over her body as Gabriel ran a shaky hand over his forehead again.

“Poor girl just over exerted herself. She just needs rest.” She replied. “What happened?”

Gabriel sat on the edge of the bed, shaking his head. “She tried to…um…she jumped…the weight is too much for her. I need to know what to do. Lucifer has pushed her to this point of no return and I fear she won’t be the same much longer, not until she decides.”

Raina licked her dry lips. “She’s The Chosen.” She made it a statement as she looked at Jasmine. “Why didn’t I see that coming?” They were quiet for a moment. “What do you plan on doing?”

Gabriel looked up. “I’m not sure what I need to do. I can’t pretend to understand The Almighty’s plan for either of us. I just want her to get through this. That’s all whatever she decides.”

“Oh that’s so cute. The love you have for her. I know love can do many things but it sure as hell doesn’t conquer all.” She turned to walk away, but gasped as Lucifer appeared in a black suit, sophisticated and clean.

“You speak of love Raina? That’s new for you.”

Gabriel stood from his sitting position ready to protect Jasmine at any given cost. Lucifer only glanced at him and then Jasmine and then back to Raina.

“How did you find me?” Raina asked, taking a few steps back.

Lucifer laughed. “I never lost you.” He replied. “I think your time on earth has somehow caused you to forget sweetness. But luckily I haven’t come for you.” Lucifer looked to Gabriel then. “You seem to have your wings back.” He pouted with that observation. “Interesting.”

“What do you want Lucifer? You have done enough.” Gabriel warned.

“She tried to harm herself so I came to protect my investment of course. I don’t need her dying and not deciding her fate. Nevertheless she couldn’t die anyways, but now she is in a deep sleep. This will give me more time to get my point across.” Lucifer took a step, but Gabriel started to glow in warning.

“Stay away from her!” He screamed throwing his palms up and pushing Lucifer over to the kitchen counter with a loud clash. Gabriel looked at his hands as he could feel the power within him growing back with the return of his wings. Raina then tried to fight him, swiftly kicking her leg, but Lucifer grabbed her ankle, throwing her against the counter and moving his hands up and down her thigh enticing her.

“You always liked me this way.” Lucifer’s long forked tongue licked her lips up to her face as Raina frowned and kicked him in his human balls causing him to frown as he grabbed her face hard with one hand. “I say when we play rough, Temptress.”

Gabriel intervened then pushing Lucifer off of her and then punching him as Lucifer’s face just moved to the side as he licked the inside of his jaw once he turned back to Gabriel. He grabbed Gabriel’s face in the same way he grabbed Raina, swiftly kicking his legs from under him, throwing him down on the ground. Gabriel hit the floor with a hard thud. Raina came with the knife stabbing Lucifer in his shoulder as he grunted from the wound, sitting up slowly as he looked at Raina evilly.

“You stupid bitch!” Before Lucifer could attack her Lucifer turned completely taken off guard by another angel using his wings to slice Lucifer’s stomach to his dismay. It was causing him to become angrier. His true form was starting to come out, his face became dark and his broken wings popped out of his back.

“That was for Simahel.” Ezekiel taunted helping Gabriel up, who nodded thankful for the assist. Raina only backed away and allowed the angels to handle him. Lucifer only smirked.

“You and Simahel will both have the final death once I have won this holy war. Send my regards to your Almighty.” He spat attacking them both. Ezekiel and Gabriel both dodged his attacks, wings now used as shields as Lucifer used his own wings as weapons aiming straight for their jugulars. The brothers worked together grabbing each other’s forearm and kicking Lucifer off the balcony, with a golden lit leg. Lucifer only flew up and away wounded as he didn’t come to fight them.

“You must be Ezekiel.” Raina flirted walking up after all the action, placing her hand on his chest. Gabriel stopped her.

“Have you talked to The Almighty Ezekiel? Can he help Jasmine?” he asked, moving Raina’s hands to her side.

“No. I just came to check on you both.” Ezekiel walked into the room where Jasmine slept. Gabriel and Raina followed him. He placed his hands over her body inspecting her as Raina did. “What do you think happened?”

Gabriel sighed. “I’m not sure. I’m afraid Ezekiel.” He confessed. “I’m afraid Lucifer has actually won.”

Visions of the earth in flames as demons walked idly throughout the earth stained Jasmine’s mind. Her hand touched the seeming flame and it burned, but the pain of the flames couldn’t have penetrated her guilty heart. She walked through her town now seeing the locals, people from the police station, people she walked by every day and never spoke to them, now suffering by the hands of demons attacking them and killing them. Children crying and huddled in a corner looked terrified at her as if she was to blame for what was happening to them. She wasn’t was she?

“You made the deal.” She turned to see Gabriel in his angel armor, black wings as he looked disappointed at her. “Is this what you wanted? Could you not see beyond your own pain that you brought this upon us all?” He shook his head as tears, dark blood tears fell from his eyes.

“No I didn’t.” Jasmine started to panic then as she took off running. The atmosphere suddenly changed then as the burning town was now fading into a blinding light that caused her to cover her eyes. Jasmine felt warm and walked towards a bright light that changed into her old house where her mother was, smiling and inviting her to sit down with her. Jasmine hesitated at first, tears burning her eyes as she did so.

“Jazzy what’s wrong huh? Come tell me all about it.” Her mother gestured for her to sit and as if she didn’t have a choice, Jasmine’s feet started to move, involuntarily. She sat down looking surprised to see her mother, looking as beautiful as she remembered her.

“I must be dreaming?”

“Well yes, but It was the only way for me to reach you. I been seeing what’s been going on. I knew The Almighty had a plan when he created you. When you were born there was this glow about you that everyone fell in love with. Over time, once the world opened its ugly head you lost sight of that light, but I suppose that all comes from growing up.” Her mother touched her chin and wiped her tears as she held her close. Jasmine cried harder needing the hug desperately.

“I missed you so much. Things haven’t been the same since…”

“I know...I know baby.” She replied, rocking her back and forth.

“She loves you so much, Jasmine. So did your father.” Jasmine looked shocked as she heard the voice of trumpets and power speak as a bright light appeared to her, not man nor woman, but purity. The bright light shimmered into a human form then in a white suit, of how Jasmine imagined The Almighty to look. “Not what you imagined?” Jasmine was at a loss from words as the form seemed so familiar to her. “Because you have seen me around. I was your pilot on your way to Vegas. The custodian who talked to Gabriel in the hotel and many others that you hadn’t noticed. I have been watching you very closely Jasmine.”

Jasmine stood away from her mother’s embrace then, standing in the Almighty’s face. “Good that way I can tell you personally take this curse away from me. I don’t want to be the one that decides humanity’s fate. I’m just like them…A regular…”

“You never truly fit in with anyone because I made you to stand out, but you constantly have this urge to blend in. I did not choose anyone else I chose you. I even sent Gabriel to make your journey a little better.”

“You chose wrong!” Jasmine yelled.

“I assure you, Jasmine I make no mistakes. Never when it comes to creating my children. Everyone on this earth has a purpose. And thus no mistakes can ever be made.” Jasmine shook her head. Not wanting to listen to the voice as it was far too pure that made her angry.

“There were other people that can help you decide this easily.” she argued.

The Almighty only nodded. “Yes, but I chose you. There shouldn’t be any question about why. You are special, Jasmine. Your mother just told you…”

“I’m not!”

“Despite your recent failure with Chelsea you have helped countless others working with the police. You have been quite busy in that department. You have a good heart. Why can’t you see it for yourself?” Jasmine was tearing up more now as she spoke her mind needing to get everything off her chest.

“There were others that need you. Why haven’t you intervened? Helped us...help them. People are suffering, starving, homeless, beaten and battered. People have turned you into a joke instead of a symbol, but yet you just lay idly by and let them.”

“I don’t interfere with free will, Jasmine. Let anyone who makes a mockery out of me see me once their time is up then they will know the truth. I have nothing to prove to anyone. People tend to underestimate how great it is to love someone without having that force to do so behind it. Your mother knew this. That is why she is with me today. I made each and every one of my creations, humans and angels from my image. Things changed from the earthly perspective that molds everyone differently, DNA gives different shades, places you all in a box. Humanity started to want more and need more thus creating issues within themselves. I have heard my people crying for sometime, Jasmine. That’s why I sent you.”

“People will believe this,” She gestured to The Almighty. “More so than me.”

The Almighty nodded. “Yes I suppose you are right.” Jasmine turned to look at her mother as she smiled. “How do you suppose I should go about handling this?” The Almighty waited for her to answer, patiently as the room went quiet. She honestly didn’t know what The Almighty should do to present himself to the public. Some would believe, but most would just crucify anything The Almighty did and only slander the name, oh lord not to mention the memes. “Faith is believing without seeing.” The Almighty continued, touching her cheeks, loving causing her to cry even more. “I know the words of my First born has rattled you. Lucifer can be rather persuasive. Always was his strong suit even as an Angel. I cannot make you see what you don’t wish to see, Jasmine. I place what you need in front of you and if you are grateful for it you will see the blessings you have, if not…” There was a sigh of disappointment that left The Almighty’s mouth. “You will become what Lucifer has. Now wake up Jasmine.” The Almighty touched her forehead then.

Xavier walked in after slightly knocking on the door to be greeted by Gabriel. “I came as soon as I got your message. Is she alright?” Gabriel led him in the room instead and watched his reaction as he saw Jasmine’s sleeping body.

“She will be. She can’t accept anymore cases for a while. Her mind can’t take anymore torture.”

Xavier nodded, holding her hand. “Neither can I. After that mass shooting in the school I decided to take some time off. I need the break to rest as well.” Xavier placed her hand on his cheeks. “What happened exactly?”

“She tried to jump…” Gabriel couldn’t continue as he got choked up.

“No. Jasmine would never do something like that.” Xavier argued, accusingly at Gabriel as he gently placed her hand back on the bed. “You know everything was fine until you showed up. Why do you keep torturing her this way?”

Gabriel pointed to himself. “Me?”

“Yes you. You are supposed to be a fucking angel, but instead you have done nothing but caused her pain.”

Gabriel shook his head, pointing to his chest. “I love her, Xavier.” he blurted.

“Well I love her too.” Xavier replied. “And when she was with me she never felt as if she had to jump off a roof.” Gabriel sighed as he continued. “I know her way better than you ever will.”

“Why because you had sex with her once?”

That gave Xavier pause as anger began to swell in Gabriel’s already annoyed chest that he was the blame for everything that happened to Jasmine. He loved her and would never do anything to hurt her or so he told himself. Honestly he felt what he and Malakith said to be true. She loved Xavier and would choose to be with him leaving him with nothing. It was his biggest fear.

“You had sex with her?” Xavier asked, his voice rendered pain as he stepped a little closer to Gabriel.

“Jasmine and I have made love multiple times.” Gabriel replied in a matter of fact tone, almost excited to prove Xavier wrong.

Xavier’s eyes squinted in challenge while shaking his head. “What kind of angel are you?”

“Xavier,” Gabriel called out to him before he walked out the room.

“Tell her I stopped by.” he slammed the door as he walked out of it.

The next second Jasmine sat up with a gasp as she started coughing, her lungs needing air. Gabriel was at her side the next second holding her as his heart leapt for joy she was alright. He kissed her forehead as he held her close.

“You scared me.” he confessed.

She pulled away slightly as she noticed his wings behind his back. “Your wings?”

“We can figure that out later. What happened?” He looked her square in the eyes so showing his concern.

“I dreamt about the Almighty and my mom. I need to talk to Raina.” She concluded. Jasmine started to get dressed while Gabriel helped without questioning it. “Can you wait here for a moment? I need to go see Xavier to check on him too.” She pleaded.

Gabriel looked hurt. “You don’t want me to come with you?”

“I just need some…”

“Jasmine, you are trying to run from me.” Gabriel grabbed her arm firmly, but not enough to hurt her. “Don’t.”

“I need some space to myself, Gabriel is that to much to ask?”

“Yes when you are running from me.” Gabriel sighed as she jerked away from him. “You just came from a traumatic experience. I just want to protect you even if it means from yourself”

“I just need space. I’m not going out to kill myself.” She sighed as she confessed, the weight of her shoulders sagged. “I want to prove something to myself. So you can go. You don’t have to stay here.”

Gabriel sighed frustrated then. “There you go trying to push me away..”

“Gabriel you are an Angel!” She yelled, now annoyed at his persistence. “You shouldn’t even want me let alone love me. So just go. I have some shit to figure out.”

“You sound like Xavier.” That gave her pause as she turned back from storming out, realization hit her hard. If the earth could crackle in-between them it would have as they stared at each other.

“What did you do?” She asked angrily.

“I told him the truth. That I love you and you love me.”

“Why would…”

“He asked if we had sex and I told him….”

Jasmine’s eyes widen. “Why would you do that? Why would you purposefully hurt him?” She asked, walking closer to Gabriel.

“I told him the truth.” The slap came out of nowhere then, it barely stung him, but he was hurt by it nonetheless.

“That wasn’t your place to tell him. You did it because you are jealous. Afraid I will choose him over you. I didn’t ask you to make your life about me. I warned you to go back to Heaven. This is your doing not mines.” She argued. “When I get back I want you gone.”

She was projecting her anger onto Gabriel and he knew it as he watched her walk out the door. Her heart crashed into her feet then, but she kept moving uncaring of the pending danger surrounding her. If she was really the Chosen nothing nor demon or Angel could touch her. Instant cockiness protruded as she drove to the Mix and Mingle club to find Raina. Luckily she was there, but she was packing up as if she was leaving.

“Aww there she is. Jasmine. I’m glad you are feeling better. Your guardian angel panicked once he saw you didn’t wake up.” Raina paused then as Jasmine looked around the club. “Oh I’m remodeling don’t worry. I will be in town for the next few days. I need to know what you plan on doing with humanity. Unlike Lucifer I like it here.”

“Earth shouldn’t be your playground Raina.” Jasmine said, folding her arms.

Raina only shrugged with a hm. “What can I do for you?”

“I need information on who my father is.”

“What brought this on?”

“A conversation with the Almighty I think?”

Raina’s mouth opened wide in shock. “You actually saw the Almighty?”

“I mean no...It was in a dream, but my father was mentioned. I need to know what happened to him. I need to know why everyone thinks I’m so special.” She confessed sadly.

Raina shook her head. “No you already know that, Jasmine. You want proof to give yourself an excuse for you not to be. You think you will find yourself being a normal human when you know you aren’t.” Jasmine didn’t respond then as Raina sighed, placing her hand on her shoulder. “I get it...this decision is a huge, monumental weight...and Lucifer is trying to persuade you and I’m sure the Almighty wants you to save everyone...you don’t know who to listen to in there.” Raina pointed to her heart. “Clear out all the bullshit and really focus on what you want. It’s selfish, true but things will become a hell of a lot clearer when you are happy.”

Jasmine winced a little then. “I never thought I would take advice from the woman who tempted Jesus. That was actually…”

“Amazing, wonderful...I know it was. Besides I ran into Lucifer and I’m done hiding from him. I was a fool to think he wouldn’t find me, but that’s a story for another day.” Raina went into her purse and handed Jasmine a vial. “If you need a moment to clear your head use this.”

“What is it?” The water sparkled like magic in the pretty vial.

“Holy water. I kept it for Lucifer to keep him from entering, but I think you need it more than I do. Spray around your apartment if you want.” She started walking off then as she waved before she continued. “Stay safe while I get the information for you.”
