The Facility

Chapter 32

“Mr. Forrester and his men have not checked in,” the agent said to Peg Hawking.

She sighed inwardly, cursing Hugo for his incompetence. “What about his tracker?” she asked.

“The last record is in the same swamplands in Georgia. It went offline, as well as the other agents with him, around the same time.”

“We have to assume that they have been eliminated then. What about the children?” Peg asked the agent.

“Their trackers are still working. The boy is back in Arkansas, presumably with his parents. Both girls are in the area where Mr. Forrester went inactive. It was near the talkie girl’s house, which is where they are now.”

Peg Hawking thought this over, but the agent seemed impatient. “Do you want to send out another capture team to retrieve them children?” he asked.

Peg once again thought it over, then shook her head. “No. For now, let them think they are safe. We know where to find them when we are ready.”

“Yes Director,” the agent said, saluting before turning to walk away.
