Chapter 91
The Ex-Husband's Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 91
Michael held firmly onto his conviction not because he wanted to go against Ariel, but because he targeted Leon!
"That's a good idea!"
"Slow and steady wins the race. We should maintain stability first and avail ourselves of that to penetrate the market..."
Several conservative-minded senior executives have expressed their support.
"No, there's no point in delaying a year! If our company makes a concession this time, the balance of power in this deal will shift to the hands of the Westpraise Group. It will become even more difficult for us to achieve a breakthrough in the next phase!" Ariel objected.
Since her opinions differed from Michael, the radicals and conservatives began arguing with each other as well, with neither side giving in to the other.
"Alright, everyone. Be quiet!" Iris patted the table, prompting everyone to close their mouths prudently.
"Since there are two differing views, I'll let both sides act on their separate suggestions. Mister Duvall will be in charge of negotiating with the Westpraise Group regarding the profit margin, while Miss Summers will be responsible for negotiating and cooperating with the Wick Group. You may negotiate separately but simultaneously, and I expect an answer within two days!"
Iris made her decision and turned his attention to Michael. "Mister Duvall, regarding the negotiation with the Westpraise Group about the profit margins and the subsequent expansion through our second sales route, how confident are you that it will work out?"
"More than ninety percent confident!" Michael said assertively.
"That's good news! Very well, you may start your discussions with the Westpraise Group. Make sure to reduce their profit margin to less than five percent!"
Michael nodded.
"Miss Summers, how sure are you about reaching a cooperation with the Wick Group?" Iris glanced at Ariel.
"I..." Ariel could only leave her mouth open. She knew that it was incredibly difficult, and she was not at all confident in her chances.
"I'm a hundred percent sure!" Leon chose to stand up at the worst possible time.
Everyone was stunned, as they did not expect Leon to voice out again.
"A hundred percent? You sure know how to bluff!" Michael sneered. He really could not understand where Leon got that kind of courage and confidence! Everyone felt the same way too. To them, Leon was not just a clown-he was the entire circus! All that could be seen on their face was ridicule and disdain. "Haven't you caused enough trouble, Leon!" Iris glared at Leon angrily, and she could feel her chest hurt with rage.
"I'm telling the truth, Miss Young! If you don't believe me, I can sign a pledge!" Leon said with an unwavering expression.
"Sure! I'll hold you to your words!" Michael said before Iris could even respond. "If you can't secure a contract with the Wick Group, you are to resign immediately!"
Michael's face was filled with joy because no one would be competing with him for Ariel once Leon was kicked out of the company!
"Deal! And if I do?" Leon shot Michael an insipid glance.
"Impossible!" Michael sneered.
Leon retorted, "Nothing is impossible. I'm asking you 'what if"?"
"Well, if you can secure a contract with the Wick Group, I'll resign immediately!" Michael grinned smugly. The company previously tried its level best to cooperate with the Wick Group, but whatever effort was futile in the end.
Leon, meanwhile, was an incompetent small-time secretary. The situation at hand required urgency, and he was confident that Leon would fail miserably given that Iris only gave them two short days! "Fair enough! Miss Young and everyone else here shall be the witnesses for our agreement!" Leon smirked.
Michael has been targeting Leon ever since they first met, and Leon long lost his patience with Michael. It was only natural for Leon to jump at the chance to see Michael shoot himself in the foot!
