Chapter 43
Neera gasped at hearing his words; she was dumbfounded and angry at the same time!
A plant was destroyed!
She saw his yard when she was there back then, and she knew that each of his plants cost a fortune! Each of the plants had the best quality! She had yet to be cleared of her debt to him, and her dogs were going to cause a ruckus now! At this moment, she could imagine how miserable she would be in the coming days. Am I going to be paying off my debt all the time?
She hung up the phone and rushed to next time, and she saw the triplets holding a dog each and all lined up. There was a dying pot of plants at their back...
She dashed toward it, hoping that it was not too late to save it yet. But she saw that that flower pot was smashed, and the plant was completely in ruins. How... How can I save this plant now?
It seemed that the dogs knew that they had done something wrong; none of them dared to move. They all hid behind the triplets timidly. And the triplets looked up at Neera with their innocent looks!
And the owner of the yard, Jean, was in a neat and smart suit. He stood not far away from them. He seemed to be just off work, and he looked great in his suit.
He did not speak when he saw Neera; he just looked at her with a smile. Ian walked up to her and said to her with a smirk, "Ms. Garcia, you're finally here. I've calculated the cost. "Your cute little pets destroyed a rare plant; it's worth one million dollars!"
She was totally speechless. She gasped and had the urge to murder the dogs. But she knew that she could not. After suppressing her anger, she said, "Would you believe me if I said that these are not my pets?"
Jean almost laughed out loud at her words. He held himself back and shook slowly. "I don't believe it!"
She knew that he would say this, and she angrily pointed at that plant. "How could you simply put something as precious and expensive in the yard? You should put it in your room! And why is everything in your house so damn expensive? Can't they be a bit cheaper?"
The triplets tried to pull her back and calm her down. Harvey said, "Mommy, we have to be reasonable; we're at fault; we can't be acting this way."
Sammy nodded and said, "Sorry Mommy, it's all our fault. We didn't take good care of the dogs and let them run loose. Please punish us if you're angry!"
Penny said cutely, "Mommy, our financial status is shaky now. We don't have cash anymore. "What about you paying them back with your medical skills?" She was lost for words as the three of them cornered her like that.
Penny was smart, and she quickly suggested, "You had to treat Mr. Handsome ten times for 5 million dollars. It means two treatments are equivalent to 1 million! So, Mommy, you just have to give him two extra sessions! It's not that hard!"
She was totally speechless. What is this?
Jean was looking at them from the side, and he found it funny.
Penny looked at him innocently; he cleared his throat and said, "Well, it is workable! You can pay for it with the session! After all, I'm not that cold-blooded."
Am I left with any other choices?
She gritted her teeth, and she agreed to it angrily. And she turned to the pet and yelled, "Three of you are not having any food tonight! Not even the canned food! And also, no snack for you all!" She walked away after she spoke.
And the triplets hurriedly waved to Jean and followed her while each of them carried one dog away. They were on their way to calm her down.
