The Eleusian Effect

It’s been three days since we left Centauri and escaped the mass of energy that resulted from the download. We monitored the sun and there has been no negative effects of our actions. We returned to the coordinates of the planet to find nothing. We realized that the missing planet unbalanced the Centauri System, but nature was slowly correcting it. We deployed a beacon to monitor the changes and warn other ships to not interfere with the system’s natural healing process. We detected no signs of Element X radiation and none of the other planets were inhabitable. We decided to continue into deep space but we made sure that the Community had options. Many wanted to return to Earth but they were in no hurry. It was decided that they would stay with us until we came close to Earth. Many of them would need time to mourn the loss of the world they only knew. Others were excited to explore the cosmos with us. Myself, I was a step closer to fulfilling my dream of seeing the universe. I felt, for the first time that I am ready for what’s out there.
