Chapter 235
Jodie was startled at Olivia’s actions. Looking at the glass that was suddenly thrown at her, she was terrified and crouched down
on the ground, screaming and covering her head with her hands.
The glass hit the wall behind her and shattered in an instant.
Fragments ricocheted off a wall and fell upon her. Jodie was too scared to move.
“I’m crazy?! You threw the glass at me first. It’s normal for you to do that, but when I do it, suddenly I’m crazy. Ms. Pratt, don’t
you think you’re being unreasonable?”
Olivia was so angry that she almost laughed.
“Olivia Clarke! It’s all your fault that my face is swollen. How dare you appear in front of me? You should be happy that I only hit
you with the glass!”
“My fault? Then tell me, what have I done to make your face bloated and ugly?”
“You are ugly! Olivia, I’m going to kill you!”
“Hey! If you dare to hit me, I will hit you back mercilessly. Think before you act!” Olivia looked at Jodie, who had a threatening
look on her face, and warned her in a very friendly manner.
When she’d just walked in, she was shocked at Jodie’s face.
Now that she was close, she began to feel that the symptoms looked a little familiar.
Olivia was a little curious about the reason.
So she didn’t want to get into a conflict with Jodie. Instead, she wanted to find out what was going on first.
“It is all because of your good son that I fainted in the elevator. I only said a few words to him, but he let a bee sting me and
made me like this! It was all your doing, wasn’t it?”
“Jodie Pratt, my son is in the hospital because of you. Yet you just tried to hurt him again? Is that what you mean?”
“He is in the hospital because of me?! He was scared and refused to talk. How is that my fault? I fainted in the elevator! Besides,
I’m the one who got stung by the bee!”
Jodie complained hysterically as if she had been seriously wronged.
She had completely forgotten that the person she was accusing was just a five-year-old child.
And that standing in front of her was the mother of the child.
“So it is true, isn’t it? I must have been too lenient with you. You went to the International Council of Nonprofits to make trouble
for me, and now you want to hurt my son? Do you have a death wish?”
Olivia strode over with bone-chilling murderous intent. She grabbed Jodie’s hair, opened the window, and pushed her head out.
Jodie yelled, “Olivia, you crazy woman. What are you doing? Let me go, let me go!”
Her scalp hurt so much and she inhaled a lot of the cold wind blowing through the window. At this point, she hated Olivia to the
core.
But as Tilden was not here, no one could help her.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have suffered such humiliation.
“What? Are you scared now? Why didn’t you think of the consequences when you dared to hurt my son?”
Standing next to the window sill, Olivia pushed down on Jodie’s head, forcing her to look down.
“Do you see this? An accidental fall from such a high place wouldn’t kill you, but it would cri pple you for sure, and nobody knows
how cri ppled you will be. Ms. Pratt, would you like to try it?”
“No, I wouldn’t! Your son hasn’t lost a single hair. I’m the victim. You’re being unreasonable!”
Jodie struggled with all her might, but she couldn’t break free from Olivia.
“You should be glad that he’s not really injured. Otherwise, I would have made you pay a hundred times the price. Do you hear
me?”
“If you think this can intimidate me, you are wrong. No, please no, I was wrong! Olivia, please!”
Jodie shouted arrogantly, but when she saw that Olivia was serious about throwing her down, she instantly gave in.
Do you mean it?” asked Olivia.
“I do. I really do, okay? What else do you want?” Jodie cried sadly.
“Do you know what you did wrong?”
“I shouldn’t have provoked you. You’re powerful. I can’t afford to offend you,” Jodie said insincerely.
Actually, she was swearing to herself that as long as she got away this time, she would definitely kill Olivia to vent her anger!
“Wrong!
“Your fault is that you hurt my son! It’s fine that you want to steal my man and cause me trouble. But if you dare to hurt my sons
again, I’ll cut off your hands and stuff them into your stomach. Do you hear me?”
Grabbing Jodie’s hair, Olivia stared at her with bloodthirsty eyes.
“Yes, I do!” Jodie was frightened by Olivia and nodded repeatedly.
Seeing her like this, Olivia turned around with a gloomy face and walked out of the ward.
Outside the door, Marshall, who had been a witness to the whole process of Olivia’s anger, was silently cheering for her in his
heart.
He thought, “Ms. Pratt may be a member of the distinguished Pratt family, but that is no reason for her to ruin the happy life that
Mr. Kinsman has been waiting for so many years. I hope she can stop interfering in Mr. and Mrs. Kinsman’s relationship.
“It’s a good thing that Mrs. Kinsman lost her temper to get Ms. Pratt to give up.
“But Ms. Pratt has always been arrogant and willful. I don’t think she will give up so easily.”
“Where’s Ezra now?” asked Olivia.
“In the ward next door. He is fine. Mrs. Kinsman, don’t worry.” Marshall immediately went ahead with respect.
“Where’s William?”
“Mr. Kinsman is with young Mr. Kinsman.”
“With Ezra fine, did William come to the hospital in the middle of the night, still feeling unwell from allergies, because Jodie had
been stung by a bee?”
Olivia seemed to suddenly see the light and asked subconsciously.
Marshall was stunned by her question.
“What? No, Mrs. Kinsman, please don’t misunderstand. Mr. Kinsman doesn’t know about Ms. Pratt’s allergic reaction to her face.
Olivia scoffed, “Part of your job as an assistant is to cover up for your
boss?”
Olivia obviously didn’t believe it.
The Pratt family was an important business partner of the Kinsman family, and the two families had been friends for generations.
The face of the beloved princess of such a noble family was swollen. It seemed normal for William to come to visit her in the
middle of the night regardless of his health.
“Mrs. Kinsman, Mr. Kinsman doesn’t like Ms. Pratt. Please don’t misunderstand him!”
“Do not worry. Even if he does, I won’t stop him from pursuing the true happiness of life.”
Marshall stammered, thinking, “Oh no, why do I feel that Mrs. Kinsman sounds so weird?
“Could it be that she has misunderstood Mr. Kinsman?”
Marshall broke out in a cold sweat out of guilt.
In the blink of an eye, they reached the ward next door.
At this moment, in the ward, William seemed to be asleep, sitting on the sofa.
Leaning back lazily in his arms, Ezra was scrolling through his phone.
When he saw Olivia enter, his big eyes instantly lit up.
“Mom! Why are you here? You miss your precious son?”
