"What do you mean?" Luke asked her sister when he heard those words.
"Well, why don't you ask your so-called wife instead of questioning our sisters!" Marco said sharply.
Although he had a good impression of Leslie, he knew that things weren't as simple as they seemed to

Hearing his little brother's words, Luke's eyes darkened but there was nothing he could do about that as they had always been protective of their own sisters and would never let them be at a disadvantage. Now that he was the one at that disadvantage they didn't make things easier for him but even though he was angry, he couldn't blame them. Also, to him, there was no way he would choose Leslie over his sister as he didn't know the latter so well.
"I am sure you know what they mean. Can you kindly tell me?" Luke asked his new wife in humblenes: but the latter just rolled her eyes on her.
She had an attitude and when she saw there was no way Luke was going to be on her side, she felt there was no need to show them that she was a good, obedient little lady.
"Mr Anderson, don't tell me that you never investigated begging me to marry you!" She answered sarcastically making Luke scratch his head while the others frowned displeased with how she was
talking to their brother and son.
"I was in a hurry and didn't want you to see me as a scumbag," Luke answered in a low tone.
"Who are you?" Luke asked directly as he now could tell from her change of attitude and tone that hi
sisters were right.
"Since you are so eager to know, I will fulfill your wish," Leslie answered with a smirk on her face.
"Leslie, you better portray a good image as you might go back and divorce him just a day after getting married. Don't show us your attitude and it isn't like both you and Luke have been dating
each other that he is in love with you to listen to indifference. From your tone, we can tell that
you are really a foe and not a friend," Ariana said coldly as she was fed up with the latter's
mockery and high attitude as if her brother couldn't do without him.

Leslle frowned but didn't retort her as she knew what was right and wrong.
"Did you come to work in my hospital and walk in my office with a motive?" Luke asked making Leslie speechless as she wondered why he was asking that.
"Well, you are acting so almighty, a different attitude than what you showed back at the office and
when you arrived here," Luke added when he saw her questioning eyes making the woman sigh.
"What do you expect me to do when you all question me? If I wanted to harm you, would I have agre to get married to you?" Leslie asked as she was trying to control her anger.
She had known Luke for a long time, and although the man didn't know her, she knew him as he was always on the news as the most successful surgeon who never failed in any surgery. She was still in high school back then and she felt the urge to meet the man. When she discovered that he lived so
far, she vowed that she would work very hard so that she might meet him one day. She had been working In the hospital for a week but today, she had gone out for lunch with her father and stepmother when she felt something was wrong after drinking a couple of white wine sips. She was a doctor and knew what was happening to her.
She would have gone to another doctor, but she feared that the latter might look at her with
different eyes or later the news about her to spread. Because of this, she decided to take the risk
and go to Luke's office as to her, he was kind and compassionate. He will treat her and help her get well and at the same time, he won't go around telling others. She knew everything about things since
she was determined that she had to see the most handsome and successful doctor in the medical
industry.
What she never expected was to meet such a scene and at the same time, she was running out of contro
