The Diary Of My Dead Wife

Chapter 40: Finale

Everything had been settled.Tristan's plan had not yet come to an end, but his downfall was approaching.
Zac had also been found guilty, and the old Madden's condition had miraculously improved.
All Zac's sufferings and conspiracies dispersed like dark clouds, thanks to his devoted wife.
According to the airport broadcast, the flight had been delayed due to the weather and was finally ready to take off.
Sophie sipped from her coffee.
She stood up and dragged her suitcase to the register.
Before leaving, she sent a courier with a divorce agreement she had signed.
It was finally over.
Then, she moved forward to the airport.
It was crowded, noisy, and lonely.
Sophie never saw Zac again, and there had been no communication between them after the prison visit.
As long as she knew that he was safe, her heart would be at ease.
Although the man, who had made him love and hate him for over ten years, was finally ready to let go.
‘Let it go’ Sophie told herself repeatedly, but what kept replaying in her head were all the scenes of her moments with Zac over
the years.
Tears began to roll down her cheeks, but her footsteps never stopped.
Until the airport radio suddenly broadcasted a familiar voice.
"Would you please stay, Miss Sophie?"
Sophie abruptly stopped and then looked up blankly.
She was confused and assumed she had misheard her name.

However, Zac's voice continued to ring on the radio.
"l love you, Sophie!"
Her heartbeat quickened as her emotions swung back and forth in her chest.
In an instant, her eyes suddenly filled with tears.
People who were passing through the airport couldn't help but stop walking.
"I received your divorce papers.I beg you to marry me again for the rest of my life!"
This time, the voice came from behind her rather than from the radio. Her back stiffened.
When she slowly turned around, she saw the handsome man holding a bouquet of flowers.
It was Zac.He was dressed solemnly in a suit, and his tall and slender figure approached her slowly.
Sophie's thoughts were blank. She couldn't think of any reason why he had come here. She, on the other hand, wasted no time in
approaching Zac.She couldn't say anything and could only stare at him, surprised.
Zac held the flowers in his hand and then knelt down on one knee, looking up to her and pulling a diamond ring from his pocket
like a devout knight.
"Please marry me, Sophie! Please allow me to love you for the rest of my life’
"Zac." Her voice was trembling.
"I'm 26 years old and have been divorced twice.”
"There will be no third time because I will always be with you! I swear on my life!" he insisted.
"But you said you'd bless me if I didn’t have you for the rest of my life. However, you intend to divorce first! You claimed you'd
never see me again!"
"l love you.
"You are a liar!" she exclaimed as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"I love you.Sophie, I genuinely love you. Please marry me! For the last time, give me another chance! Please allow me to give the
rest of my life to you and love you well” The passersby who surrounded them were moved.
Someone took the lead and began applauding.
Everyone else started to follow.
Sophie covered her face and burst into tears as she received warm applause and a loud cry of "Marry him” from the crowd.
She did not refuse his proposal and accepted it.
Zac stood up, took her in his arms, and lowered his head to kiss her lips.He was envious and blessed by her beauty, and he was
admiring it.
