SWNOVELS Chapter 10 ~ You are Priceless!
Paulina’s POV ~
Perseus and Roman have been phenomenal! They are so patient with me.. I have decided we need to have my ceremony so we can start finding out what happened to my parents. So, I’m headed to their office to discuss it.
When I knocked, Perseus opened the door and pulled me into a big hug “You don’t ever have to knock, my beautiful mate! We are always available to you!” I smiled and kissed his cheek.. then, I walked to Roman to hug and kiss his cheek, as well!
Roman asks “To what do we owe the pleasurable respite from this tedious paperwork?” I laughed and said “We need to get the Luna ceremony out of the way.. but I want to settle a few things between us.”
Rome immediately says “I am so sorry about the Felicia thing, babe. Had I known the depth of emotion a mate bond evokes, I know I would never have gotten involved with her!”
I held up my hand “No, babe.. stop. That’s old news and I am past it! I am referring to.. well.. when it comes to the three of us. How will it work?” Perseus asks… in a really confused voice “What do you mean? When we make love to you? Is that what you’re asking?” I blush so hard my ears burn, but I nod.
He grins and says “I love the blush, innocent Bambi. Our first time.. on the night of our mating and marking.. we will both be with you. We know it is your first time, and we promise to be gentle. After that, we can proceed with whatever you’re comfortable with. If you want to sleep in one of our rooms.. and have him all to yourself, that’s fine. We can rotate nights with you.. if that’s what you’d prefer. We did completely renovate Alpha’s quarters to accommodate the three of us.. so we can all three, always sleep together. It is entirely up to you, love! We go at your pace.. and we won’t push.”
I felt my entire body relax… and I responded “I don’t want to ever sleep a night apart from either of you. I love you both.. and it wouldn’t feel right being with one of you without the other. So, I think we should all move into the Alpha’s quarters!”
Roman had been simply staring at me, then he asks “You love us?” I giggled… knowing that was all he had heard, I nodded. He swooped in and lifted me high in his arms “I love you… soo much! You have made me the happiest man alive!” And Perseus reaches us, saying “Nope! That man would be me! I adore you, Paulina! I absolutely adore everything about you!”
They linked their parents, and within minutes.. upon hearing we want to go ahead with the ceremony, Renata jumped up and said “Oh! I have so much to do! We need to call the caterers.. order decorations.. I will make sure all the trees are decorated with fairy lights. Orion! I need you to email all the Alphas. Let them know our boys are getting mated! I need to call Aaron and Evelyn.. they need to be here! We need to go dress shopping. I have to”…. Orion said “Out of your head, my fairy! Take a breath!”
I giggled. She was awesome. And the way they love each other is phenomenal! We all sat around, planning the ceremony.. and Perseus says “The full moon is in four days.. we either have the ceremony then, or we wait another month. I don’t want to wait! I want you to be ours in every way. It feels like we have waited forever for you, already.”
I smiled and looked at Renata “Can we do this thing in four days?” She started rattling off a whole bunch of things that I couldn’t follow and stared at Perseus. He grinned “It’s fun, right!? Welcome to our world!”
Charles came in.. holding a book. “I found the mark! It has only appeared once before, a thousand years ago. Here.. Listen.. The bearer of the MoonMark is the embodiment of the Moon Goddess here on earth’s realm. The Goddess cannot stay long in the realm unless She has a vessel. She can not interact in Her wolves lives from her Heavenly Realm. In her human form, she can. The heiress to the mark will understand all earthly emotions and experience harsh conditions.. in order to aid the Goddess to deeper understanding of Her wolves… so that She may lead them back to Her doctrines.”
I am flabbergasted! I’m not sure what to say.. I have only one thought “I will no longer be myself? The Goddess is just going to take over my body and I what? … cease to exist? How is that fair? What does it mean for my mates?”
Charles replied “No.. no, sweet girl. She won’t inhabit your body on a permanent basis. She will only appear in times of strife.. when her presence is needed.” I shrugged.. “Still not helping! I am still not understanding.”
Renata says “Let me try.. Paulina, honey, most people cannot see the Goddess when she comes to earth. All they see is a beam of light.. Or a flash.. sometimes, a mist. She can’t speak to the masses.. only individuals. By having an earthly vessel.. She can address entire Packs.”
I nod.. “Okay.. but she won’t just jump into my body and hang out for months? I mean.. I plan on having a healthy… umm.. physical life with my mates.. and I am not even close to being fond of sharing them.” Orion cracks up, while Renata says “No.. No, honey! I don’t think that would ever be a notion the Goddess would even entertain!”
Perseus smiles at me, and takes me into his lap.. “Baby, we would never cheat on you! Even with the Moon Goddess! We would know it wasn’t you… and we wouldn’t ever hurt you like that, in the first place.. Please, don’t think that She would persuade us otherwise!”
And I ask “Why not? Any woman would be lucky to have you as their lovers! Have you met you!?”
Roman laughs “Love… are you seriously defending us? Upset at the Goddess for not making her play? Goddess! I love you! You are priceless!”
