The Damned Princess

There were men standing outside the cell, I charged onto them. One by one I ripped their spines out, with my bare hands, I tore there their throats out with my teeth and the metallic taste of their blood acted like fuel to the fire burning in me. They tried to come onto me at once, unfortunately all of them ended to be just a pile of bodies.

My brother had also crushed all the men holding onto him but Heracles was standing there very calmly, he didn’t try to stop me or Liam. He walked down to me and tried to wipe the blood off my face but I didn’t let him, I’d rather have myself skinned alive than let him touch me.

He looked like he was hurt for a moment but then he smiled, “I love how strong you are Amore”. “Don’t call me that” I hissed and he rolled his eyes. “Is this all a joke to you”, I said finding it hard to stay patient. “No, it isn’t, we’re finally on the chapter I wrote decades ago for you and me”, he said sweetly.

I took in a deep breath and said “you let all of them go Heracles and I promise you; I’ll stay back here so we can talk things out”. He laughed really loudly, “I know I’m mad in your love Sienna but not enough to believe that, I’m sure the moment they all leave you’ll fight me till one of us dies”.

“They haven’t done anything wrong to you” I shouted losing my patient now. “Yes, they have” he shouted even louder, “they deserve it. This pathetic human who’s not even capable to fight for himself thinks that he’ll fight me, for my love, for you. He had the audacity to tell me that you belong with him”.

“And this Daniel, did he actually think I’d believe his I want to serve you crap. I knew from the beginning who he was, I was just having some fun, with him thinking that he’s playing me. But unfortunately, now he’s going to die by my hands, just like his poor parents. Although I agree, his poor mate did nothing wrong but collateral damage” he shrugged.

I grabbed his collars and hissed “you will not touch them”. “Oh, come on, Amore you ruined my shirt with all that blood” he whined. “I said you’ll not touch them” I shouted. He raised his hands like surrendering, “if that’s what you want then I won’t, calm down, okay”.

I let go of him and stepped back, “so, my men will do it for me” he said and clapped his hands. Nothing happened for a moment, I was almost feeling hopeful thinking that none of his men left now and my people have ended them all because we can’t waste our time and energy fighting more of these filthy rogues. I need to get Jay and V out of here.

But then I heard footsteps and heartbeats, hundreds of them and the scent told me they were not our people and in a second so many of them appeared. I looked at my brother and it didn’t look like both of us had any plan other than fighting our way out.

Liam phased into his lycan and his growl roared through the whole place. He tore them apart like dolls. I started running towards the cell but so many of these rogues surrounded me. I had to fight them; I can’t let them touch my family. I started throwing punches and kicks around, tearing their heads out.

One of them clawed at my arm making it bleed, I turned around to look at him and I could see the fear in his eyes. I smirked at him and punched my fist through his chest with his heart in my grip.

I was fighting them with all the strength I had and I was about to channel my lycan but then I heard Heracles’ voice, “everybody stop right now” and all these men did. I killed the ones standing in front of me to clear my view.

When I was through them, I saw my mate on his knees and his head held in a tight grip. “No” a scream of pain left my throat. Liam was about to charge towards him but Heracles stopped him saying, “one more step Liam and you’ll see poor Jayson’s head in my hands”.

I looked at my brother and cried, “don’t Liam please, stay where you are”. I turned back and raised my hands in surrender, “please let him go Heracles, please” I said while tears were falling down my face. “I can’t, he took you away from me, he’s the reason why you won’t be mine”, he said.

I fell on my knees, “no, no, no, please, I beg you Heracles. If anything happens to him, I’ll die, please” I sobbed. I wiped the tears falling down my face and said “you want me to be yours right, I will be. I’ll do as you say, I’ll stay here with you forever just please don’t hurt him”.

“You’re lying Amore, you know you are”, he said. “No, I’m not, I promise. You can mark me now if you want but please let him go Heracles. He didn’t do anything, fate brought him in our way, it’s not his fault, I beg you please” I cried.

“You’ll never love me as long as he’s there” he shouted. “You know I’ve always loved you more than anyone Heracles and once you’ve marked me the mate bond will make me yours forever. But if you kill him, you know I’ll die with him”.

He was quiet for a moment like considering what I had said, so I continued “think about it, we can have the whole kingdom if you’d want, you know Liam would happily step aside for me. He’s a human, I’ll forget him once you mark me so please let him go” I begged desperately.

“You’re the only lycan I know whom I consider as strong as myself. But look at what a pathetic human made you like. The lycan princess to whom everybody bowed down, is on her knees begging. I can’t let a human make my Amore so weak” he said.

“No, no” I got up, “no, please Heracles, I’ll die with him, you know it” I looked into his eyes hoping he’d feel my pain but his eyes were stone cold. “I’ll take care of you love, but he has to die”, he said and snapped Jayson’s neck and let him go. Jayson’s body hit the floor and my heart broke into a million pieces, “no, no, it can’t happen” I whispered and ran to him.

I gently held his head and put it in my laps, “no Jayson baby, my love please wake. Open your eyes, I know you’re not dead, you can’t be, please” I cried loudly shaking his body. “Jayson” I shouted but he won’t wake up. Liam wrapped his arms around me.

“Liam do something, he won’t wake up. Ask him to wake up please” I cried and my brother held me tight. I pushed him back, “I said help me” I shouted angrily at him. “Brother please wake him up, tell him in your alpha voice then he’ll have to listen” I cried, “Jayson, love please”.

I pulled him close to my chest and buried my face in his hair. I kept crying, begging him to wake up for me but he didn’t listen to me and just lied still on the cold hard ground. Liam tried to pull me away from him.

“What are you doing, I need to be close to my mate. It’ll heal him. Our bond will heal him” I said to him. “Call Becky”, I asked him. “Call her now Liam, she fixes all of us, she’ll fix my mate. She’ll make him good again” I said but he kept standing there.

“Why won’t you listen to me, get me Becky or another doctor. I need them to fix my Jayson, please” I begged him. He knelt down next to me and pulled both me and Jayson close, “everything will be fine sorellina” he whispered. I pushed him back, “help me, help me take him to doctor, please brother you always help me why won’t you do anything now” I cried.

“Jayson baby you’ll be fine, I’ll find you help”, I said and left kisses all over his face. His body was becoming cold, “he’s cold Liam do something, help me please” I cried. I whispered to Jayson, “baby please wake up, I’m going crazy. There’s this unbearable pain in my chest and you know only you can make it right. So please wake up for me”.

I cried my eyes out but my mate won’t wake up and the pain keeps growing by every second. I sat there, with my love in my arms, lying so still. I couldn’t even feel the sparks that I always feel from his touch. I grabbed his hands and put them on my face, no sparks.

I got up, “Liam why are there no sparks when I touch him, he’s my mate there should be sparks when we touch”. Liam held my face in his arms and wiped the tears but didn’t say a word.

“There’s no sparks, which means you can finally be mine Amore” came another voice. I turned around and it was Heracles who said it. I looked at the still body of my mate and then looked back at him, “he won’t wake up because of you, our sparks are gone because of you”.

He walked towards me and grabbed my hands, “Amore he’s not your mate now. Now I can mark you and make you mine forever. You’ll feel the sparks when I touch you and I’ll make you so happy that you won’t ever think about anybody else, I’ll take this pain away”.

I stayed silent for a moment, just staring at my mate, if he won’t wake up then I’ll join him because there’s no me without him, but there’s something that needs to be done before I finally let go of this pain and join my mate wherever he is.

I looked at Heracles, “I gave you money, power, name. I fucking gave you a life and you took my mate from me”. “I just gave to you and never asked anything back in return. I gave you the strength you are so proud of, I taught you all the lessons of life but I forgot to teach you a very important one”.

“It’s time that you learn it, that nobody, not even a pathetic orphan I brought into my home from the street and called my son, nobody messes with the lycan princess”.
