Chapter 61
One
So, we need- Kiara starts, but Moon cuts her off.
Don’t even say it. Yes, we need to be marked, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Colin almost died, and we need to go to the place gramps found me by Moon Lake, but he didn’t exactly say where the spot is, did he? Moon rolls her eyes. Of course, it would be complicated.
Without the necklace, we can shift when you are asleep. Kiara sounds excited and bounces a little.
Moon had read in the journal that the necklace had been laced with more binding spells to help hold her wolf at bay, and that was what made her take it off.
We still need to get the hell out of here before Caleb and Maddox come back, and Colin is still sleeping. I don’t know if he is strong enough to be moved. I don’t even know if I got all of the bullet out. He may still have some silver in there, but I hope he doesn’t. Moon is feeling overwhelmed.
She moves to Colin checking on him again. She washed the blood from her hands long ago and tried to clean Colin up as much as possible. There was so much blood everywhere. Not to mention the office still has a dead and naked man in it.
She rechecks his leg, which is mostly healed. She moves to his shoulder, and he groans, wincing a bit.
“Colin,” she calls tentatively.
“Yep, I’m still here.” He opens one eye halfway to look at her. She wants to throw herself into his arms so badly, but she refrains from doing that, not wanting to hurt him further.
“I thought you were going to leave me as well.” Moon has tears in her eyes and accepts that today she is going to cry.
“No, you can’t get rid of me that easily.” He teases, and she smiles. He sits up painfully and pulls her into his arms.
“You are going to open those wounds again.” She frets, trying not to be pulled into his lap.
“I don’t really care if I do.” He pulls her harder and soon wins the war. As soon as he has her, his lips are on hers. They both feel the love and longing, thinking they could have lost each other today. The sun has begun to set, and the orange sky turns dark. As they both refuse to let go of the other.
Soon his hands find their way under the loose tee shirt she is wearing and Colin wrinkles his nose.
“I don’t love that you are wearing someone else’s tee shirt.” He growls a bit possessively as he kisses her. His hands roaming over her skin, finding her breast and massaging it. She moans softly, all thoughts leaving her as she finds the shirt being pulled over her head.
Soon she is lying under him, his body pressing on hers, the thin blanket doing little to hide his intentions. His lips move down her body as he worships every inch of her, making her shiver and pant. She has no intention of stopping him. She feels like she is burning from the inside out. The intense need to be closer to him driving her crazy.
When his finger starts teasing her, she moans and cries out as they slip inside her. He leans in, kissing her, stealing the moan of pleasure from her lips, relishing it. Her hips move and buck rhythmically until she can no longer stand his teasing.
“Please.” She shudders, feeling like she may burn alive if he keeps teasing her.
“Are you sure?” he kisses her neck sucking and nipping the skin.
She only pants more, shaking, “More than sure.”
He pauses a moment and looks at her. She locks eyes with him, “Yes.” she says, pulling his lips to hers.
He still seems unsure until she pushes the blanket off him and has him in her hands. He groans at the touch, and Farrell won’t let him stop now. When she stops teasing and torturing him with her hands, Colin can’t feel the pain in his shoulder anymore. He’s pretty sure a small piece of the silver bullet is still lodged in there, but none of that matters to him right now.
He moves, and she wraps her legs around him. He could die now, and it wouldn’t matter just to be close to her. Just to have her would be worth dying a thousand times. He slowly slides into the tightness, both of them panting. Her moans and cries are like a drug he only wants more of as he moves slowly at first, trying not to hurt her.
She only pulls him closer to her, kissing his neck and shoulder as the heat builds and builds. He can feel Farrell pushing forward and his teeth elongating. Moon is feeling the same way, and he can feel her teeth graze his skin. Her panting and moaning grow louder and louder as Kiara elongates her fangs. As they begin to climax, she clamps down first, making him growl loudly, and Farrell pushes forward more to do the same sinking his teeth into the soft skin where her neck and shoulder meet.
She screams out as they ride out the high, seeing and feeling everything as the mate bond kicks in. they can feel each other in a whole new way. The rush is dizzying as they reach the top of their high before melting back down and collapsing in each other’s arms.
She is his, and he is hers now for the world to see. They are one and the same as he continues to kiss her neck and shoulder, and she hums in contentment.
“I love you more than the moon itself. I love you more than life.” Colin confesses, nuzzling in close to her. He never wants to feel the fear he felt earlier that day. It wasn’t fear for himself. It was the fear of losing the only thing worth living for.
“I love you, don’t ever leave me.” She whispers in his ear, “Because I won’t ever leave you.”
