The Chronicles of Moon

Chapter 54

Restless

Moving boxes and unpacking things helps Moon burn off a lot of her aggravation, and she and Kiara are feeling a lot better. Moon is busy unpacking and hardly notices that it is well past lunchtime until the intoxicating smell of chocolate and coffee fills her nose. She turns to the doorway to see Colin leaning on the doorframe.

“You know I could have had someone move all these boxes for you.” He smirks at her.

“I didn’t mind moving them. It helped clear my head.” Moon admits. She keeps unpacking her current box.

“I think it is time for you to stop doing this and come have lunch with me.” Colin has a dark look, and Moon feels like she might be on the menu.

“You are bossy, aren’t you.” She teases him, smiling and folding her arms.

“Please have lunch with me then.” He smirks at her tilting his head.

When she doesn’t get up to move right away, Colin pushes off the door and takes a few strides over to her, holding his hand to her. She smiles wider at him taking his hand, and he pulls her to her feet. He takes the opportunity to wrap his arm around her waist, pulling her close to him.

“Maybe you will be lunch if you want to keep teasing me,” Colin growls low in her ear, making her shiver and giggle all at once.

“Well, you mentioned lunch, so now I am hungry.” Moon is still teasing him, and he growls in her ear low again. When she giggles, he moves in, kissing her.

When he pulls away, she is breathless and wanting more. “Come on, let’s feed you before we need to go and get Bells.”

Moon glares at him as he pulls out of her arms. He snickers at her knowing now she knows what it’s like to be teased. She huffs at his amusement. She puts a few more things away in the closet before following him reluctantly out the door.

He is already making lunch and whatever it is smells heavenly. Moon can feel her stomach growl, as she gets closer. She sees the pan of buttered shrimp and fresh pasta boiling; Moon stands in awe of this man standing there, calmly cooking with more skill than she knows she will ever possess.

“I hope you like shrimp and pasta.” He remarks over his shoulder.

“I do, but I don’t know how you manage to make that look so easy she says, leaning on the counter.

“It isn’t that hard. I’m happy to teach you.” He looks at her over her shoulder, leaning on the counter, her chin resting on her hand.

Why are we making lunch? I just want her. Farrell groans and slumps in Colin’s mind.

You and me both. Colin grumbles back, completely frustrated but trying his best to hide it.

Colin decides to distract himself from his current line of thinking. As he puts the pasta on a plate for Moon, he almost forgets what he’s doing completely. She is still watching him, and it is distracting him completely.

“So, about getting those journals?” Colin tries to gauge her reaction.

“Oh yeah, those.” Moon takes her plate and walks to the table, and it is clear she isn’t interested in talking about them.

Colin sighs a little and joins her at the table. “I know you don’t want to go and get them, but we need to.” He says gently, tilting his head to see her face better.

“I know. I will. I just…” Moon is trying to think of the right way to say how she feels about it.

He reaches over, taking her hand as she pushes pasta around her plate. She takes a deep breath looking up at him. Why does he have to look at her like that? She’s almost sure she could never tell him no when he is looking at her with so much affection. She would almost curse the mate bond if she didn’t love the rush. Being with him makes her skin tingle and her heart race.

“Okay fine, we can go and get them then. When do we leave?” Moon sighs, giving in completely and slumping in the chair.

“Sooner is better than later, so tomorrow morning works for me.” Colin smiles warmly at her. He knows she doesn’t want to go into her grandfather’s room again, and he hates that she has to.

“You know I can send someone to go if you really don’t want to.”

“No, that would be worse. I would rather do it myself than send anyone into his room. I just feel like it’s the last part of him that I have. It’s the same as when he left, and I didn’t want that part to be gone too. But I need to get those journals so I can help Kiara. We still can’t shift, and she is getting restless.”

Colin gives her hand a squeeze when she still isn’t eating. He lets her hand go, pulls her chair closer to him, and startles her slightly. She smiles at him, and his hands cup her face pulling her close to him and kissing her.

The sweet sound of her slight moan has him wrapping his arms around her waist. Pulling her into his lap. When she gasps, he deepens the kiss. He has no plan of stopping himself anytime soon. Her fingers run through his hair as she presses into him.

He feels like he might lose complete control when he scoops her up in his arms, standing, never breaking contact.

Heading for the room with her in his arms feels so right. All he wants is to worship every part of her. All thoughts have left them as he props a knee on the bed and sets her down on the soft covers. Kissing her jaw and down her neck, she moans a little louder, and he can’t stop himself.

She starts to undo the buttons on his shirt. When it’s undone, her hands run down his sides. He groans at the touch of her fingers. His hands are on her thigh, pushing her dress up, and she shudders under his fingers.

She kisses his neck and pulls him closer to her. His fingers soon find the hem of her panties, and she moans a little louder. When he pulls on the waistband, she lifts her hips and lets him pull them off. Then running his hand back up her inner thigh, She shudders harder, and goosebumps cover her skin.

When she nibbles, his ear he growls again. We need to keep control of ourselves. He warns his nearly rabid wolf.

Look who’s talking. You’re driving, not me. Farrell shoots back.

His pants have become painfully restrictive, but when she starts to undo them, he stops her.

“No.” He growls in her ear, making her quiver as his hot breath hits her skin. Moon can’t think. All she can feel is her skin burning and a need for more. His every touch is torture and pleasure all at the same time.

When he stops kissing her neck, she moans from the loss of him. He moves to the end of the bed. He grips her hips pulling her to the edge of the bed. When he kneels down and starts kissing her inner thigh, she thinks she might scream and bites her hand. To stop the sound.

“Don’t do that.” He growls at her sternly, “I want every sound. Don’t you dare stop them.”

When he starts moving his lips up her thigh again, she moans, and her hips buck slightly, begging for more. When his mouth finds her, she is wet already, and he takes his sweet time exploring her with his tongue, and she moans in ecstasy. When she is close to the edge, his tongue stops its exploration to be replaced by his fingers. She moans louder and harder as his fingers move rhythmically.

“That’s good. Don’t cum yet, not until I tell you to.” He murmurs in a low husky tone.

She isn’t sure she can stop as the waves of pleasure rack her body. She isn’t in control of anything at this point. Another wave is building, and when his mouth finds her core again, he growls, the vibration of sound nearly breaking her completely.

“Cum for me. Let it all go.” He tells her, and when she does, her body shudders uncontrollably as she screams out. Her body clenches down on his fingers as he continues riding out the high of the orgasm.

When she stops shaking, she’s left panting and exhausted. She can hardly move. He scoops her up and carries her more onto the bed. Cuddling her close to him as she lays in his arms, he can feel her still shuddering, and he smirks a bit to himself. Moon quickly drifts off to sleep, and Colin is more than happy to let her as he lightly kisses her neck and breathes her in.

Mine. He and Farrell purr softly in her ear, and she shudders again in her sleep.
