Chapter 57
The Charming Ex-Wife
Chapter 57 Please Take Care Of Your Woman
Josiah chuckled. “Ms. Collins resigned.”
Lysander suddenly realized this.
Indeed. She has been dismissed by Lysanne and replaced by her cousin.
“Then get a legal counsel from the company and have them come with me to the city hall.”
“Lysander.” Josiah sighed. “I’m sorry to you and the child.”
“The past is in the past. Why bring it up now?” Lysander looked at Lysanne. “Miss Thorne, are you satisfied now?”
Lysanne squinted and smiled. “I hope Dr. Thorne keeps her word.”
“How about this? Forget about the legal counsel. Let Josiah sign a power of attorney for you, and we can
handle handle the procedures together? Since you’re a lawyer too, it’ll be more reassuring if you everything yourself.”
Lysanne’s smile grew wider. “That could work too. Actually, it doesn’t have to be so complicated. Since Josiah and I need to register for marriage at the city hall as well, why not get divorced and married in one day? It’ll save more time.”
“Up to you, I don’t mind,” Lysander said.
“Dr. Thorne, please don’t mind. Josiah is just worried about me and the child. After all, my belly is getting bigger every day, and he doesn’t want people to gossip. You know, he can’t bear to see me
suffer.”
Lysander scoffed. “Yes, after all, you two are best friends.”
Her words carried sarcasm, evident to everyone present except Adrian.
Josiah’s complexion grew increasingly grim, coupled with his recent significant weight loss. He looked. much more gloomy, a stark contrast to his previous confident and dignified demeanor.
In just over a month, he seemed to have completely changed.
Daphne urged, “Are you done talking? If you are, then leave quickly and stop disturbing others’ meals.”
Lysanne smiled insincerely. “Dr. Thorne, is your friend always this rude when speaking?”
Lysander raised her head. “How is it rude?”
“Saying ‘leave’ isn’t considered rude?”
“Oh.” Lysander pointed in the direction of the door. “Leave.”

As they spoke, the food arrived.
Waiters came over one by one, carrying trays and placing dishes on the table.
“The dishes are ready; please enjoy your meal.”
Adrian nodded politely. “Thank you.”
Daphne picked up her spoon and looked at Lysanne and Josiah, who were still standing. She chuckled lightly. “Still not leaving? Waiting for the security to kick you out?”
Lysanne raised her chin. “He dares. The future heir of the Guerra Group is in my belly. Let’s see who dares to touch me.”
There was a loud bang.
Lysander was slamming her spoon heavily on the table.
She rarely got angry.
Even when facing the most stubborn troublemakers, she tried to patiently persuade them. There were very few times when she lost her temper like this.
Josiah said, “Lysander, I’m sorry: I’ll take her away now.”
“Huh.” Lysander snorted and looked into his eyes. “If you could take her away, would she barge in like this?”
Josiah closed his eyes slightly. “I’m sorry.”
“Mr. Guerra, I thought we could have a civilized divorce, each living our own lives without holding any grudges. Even if we meet again, there won’t be as much resentment as with enemies. Could you please, control your woman? It’s one thing for her to cause a scene in my clinic, but this is a public place. Do you want everyone to witness this spectacle?”
