Chapter 27: I Like This Girl Very Much
Chapter 27: I Like This Girl Very Much
"Who is Stella?"
Viola blurted out.
Joseph took a glance at her with a faint expression, "The daughter of an employee in the group."
"Why are you reading the medical history list of an employee's daughter? Who is the employee?"
Hearing this, Joseph closed the document in his hand and put it on the medical history list. In a tone with some inviolability and sharpness, he asked, "Do I need to tell you every single thing?" Viola's face stiffened, "No, that isn't what I mean, I simply ask only."
"You've asked too much," Joseph was already quite impatient, "I have things to do. The appointed meal with Harrison is dinner. You just go directly later, I'll be there on time."
This was apparently an order to let her leave.
Viola instantly regretted asking too much without thinking. She wanted to do something about it but seeing Joseph's impatient expression on his face, she could only embarrassedly find an excuse and left the office. Before she left the office, she involuntarily read the name 'Stella' once in her mind.
"Joseph has taken the initiative to find the kindergarten for you?"
In the living room of the old mansion of the Beckham family, Harrison was holding the phone with high spirits, "It's so soon that he takes the initiative to help your mummy, it seems like everything is going well." The voice on the other end of the phone was very young, "Thanks to you as you've told me about Mister's action and plan, otherwise I won't have the chance to let Mommy and Mister meet at the restaurant." "This is also due to your mommy's excellence. Joseph won't easily admire a woman."
"Then you mean there is hope for my mommy!"
"Not just a hope, but a hope with a high possibility to become a reality."
While they were chatting happily, the butler came in and reminded, "Sir, the young master and Ms. Kidman have arrived."
Harrison only then cheerfully said, "Well, Joseph is back. I'll grab this opportunity to ask him how his thought is. Let's call another day, Stella."
"Okay, goodbye."
The lively and cheerful voice from the phone made Harrison's brow very relaxed. He was still smiling although the phone call had already ended for quite a while.
"I like this girl by the name of Stella very much. If her mother is married to our family with her in the future, the house will be lively. Noah will also have a companion." "Doesn't sir worry that a woman with her own child won't pay much attention to others' child?"
"Don't you see it at the restaurant that day? Stella and Noah are having a good relationship. Her mommy has also paid particularly much attention to Noah."
After hearing the matter about the incident at the Japanese Restaurant that day, the butler's expression relaxed a bit.
Joseph brought Viola to come back. This was not a strange matter as since Harrison urged him to get married five years ago, Joseph had used her as a shield whenever he visited the Beckham family. At first, Harrison also thought that the two people were really in a relationship but as time passed, he could tell clearly that it was simply a ploy.
"How come Noah doesn't come back with you together?"
At the dining table, Harrison asked about Noah.
Thinking of Noah's rowdy behaviour at home, Joseph frowned slightly, "He has a bad temper recently so I don't bring him over to give you trouble."
"You're the only one who can give me trouble."
Harrison glanced at him and spoke with an unpleasant tone, "It's because you don't find a mother for Noah who can take care of him. He stays with maids together every day, do you think he will have a good temper? If he becomes a dandy in the future, it's all your fault and responsibility."
When Harrison talked about this, Joseph put down his chopsticks.
"I've thought about it. You're right, so I'm going to get married."
"You're going to get married?"
Before Harrison revealed his happy expression, he heard Joseph saying.
"So, I bring Viola back to tell you this."
"What?" Harrison's expression changed at once, "You mean that you want to marry her?"
Harrison's face darkened. Not knowing what had happened, Joseph frowned and said, "Viola has also been by my side for so many years. Since you want me to get married, I'll get married then." "Wait, wait a moment."
Harrison was slightly confused. After thinking for quite a while, he settled down, "What about Noah? Has Noah agreed with the matter that you're going to get married?"
Joseph showed a certain look.
"The reason for having this marriage is mainly due to Noah's opinion."
"Impossible."
Harrison was so angry that he drew in his breath with a long hiss. He spoke directly in front of Viola, "I don't agree with this matter. I definitely won't agree if Noah doesn't personally come to me to say that he agrees with it."
Joseph was slightly surprised. He originally thought that after he said that he was going to get married, Grandpa would be happy, but why was Grandpa having this reaction?
Viola was seething with anger but she did not dare to show it. She contained her displeasure and spoke softly.
"Harrison, I'll treat Noah nicely after the marriage, Also, nobody knows Noah better than me. After all, I'm the one who has watched how he grows up."
Harrison glanced at her and harrumphed indifferently, looking at the butler next to him.
"Mark, you go and personally fetch Noah here."
The old mansion was not far away from where Joseph stayed. It took less than half an hour for the butler to bring Noah here.
When Noah saw Viola after he came in, he slightly flinched and looked a little scared.
Harrison waved at Noah and spoke with a pleasant smile.
"Noah, come, come to great-grandfather."
Noah ran over.
"Your father told me just now that you want a mommy, is it true?"
Noah shook his head but when he glanced at Viola, a chill went down his spine. So, he nodded again.
Joseph noticed all this and was slightly surprised.
"He is still a kid so perhaps he doesn't quite understand this, but he knows who treats him nicely."
As she said, Viola faced Noah and clapped her hands twice, smiling gently, "Come, Noah, come to my side."
Noah subconsciously shrank back and hid behind Harrison.
Harrison, who had observed all this, looked at Viola coldly.
"What you say is not right. Kids can know many more things than the things we think they can. The way you communicate with the kid determines what kind of person he or she becomes."
Viola's smile on her face stiffened. She said embarrassedly, "Yes, you're right, I've learnt a lesson, I'll mind the way I speak in the future."
Harrison looked cold and did not express his opinion. He looked at Joseph and said, "You're already thirty years old. Since you don't get married in the past, you really don't need to quickly do it now. A marriage needs to consider all aspects. We'll talk about this matter later."
His words clearly showed a disapproval attitude. Was there a need to talk about it later?
Viola was so furious that her nails were embedded in the palm of her hand. Joseph, on the contrary, apparently did not show any reaction to that.
The people did not have a good time during dinner time. When Viola was about to leave, she originally wanted to leave with Joseph together, but Harrison asked her to leave first, saying that he wanted to tell Joseph something.
"Fucking old man, it's obvious that he doesn't agree with the marriage between Joseph and me. It's a waste that I've always been going to the old mansion to see him all these years. He surprisingly just ignores all my effort."
Once Viola got in the car, she punched the seat in anger.
"Viola, don't be angry. As long as Mr. Beckham insists on this matter, Harrison can't do anything about it. You still don't know Mr. Beckham's temper? Look, Harrison forced him to get married and to have a child last time. But, what he did was that he simply found an unknown woman to help him gave birth to a child for him to bring back to the house. From this matter, it seems that he doesn't care much about Harrison's view."
