Chapter 124 

The villa looked heavily guarded. There were a lot of men patrolling just outside the door, not to mention in the courtyard. 

And they didn’t know what weapon the opponents might have. 

Joshua was alone, and how could he defeat those people? 

Moreover, Joshua was the president of the Stellar Group! 

Would a man of his rank be willing to take such risks? 

“Mr. Melendez, there are too many people. Why don’t we call the police first? It’s dangerous for you to rush in like this!” advised Roy.

When Joshua reached the room where Christy was, in the corridor behind him lay Triston’s bodyguards who had been beaten and disabled.

For that moment, Roy thought Mr. Melendez was so handsome and powerful! Now he understood why Mr. Melendez had asked him to wait outside. 

Because there was no need for him to help. 

Roy’s memories ended, and time returned to reality. 

When Christy saw Joshua, her frightened eyes became more complicated. 

She had never hoped for him.

Joshua stretched out his hand and caught the knife, and at the same time, he kicked Triston in the belly. 

Triston was so painful that his eyeballs almost fell off. With a scream, he fell to the ground and rolled his eyes. 

Joshua didn’t care about Triston at all. He rushed to Christy and cut the rope tied to Christy’s hands and feet with the knife.. 

Poor Christy’s wrists and ankles were drawn with circles of deep red marks by the rope, and Joshua was heartbroken to see it! 

How could he let others hurt the girl he couldn’t hurt himself? 

Joshua helped Christy up, and asked with concern, “Are you all right?” 

Christy shook her head, still in shock, and folded her arms in shame, blocking the part where she was scratched earlier. 

As a woman, she had self–respect. 

Joshua wasn’t a good man for her, either. And what she looked like now might arouse his animalistic instinct and desire to do something to her. 

Christy was frightened! 

She shivered and shrank back, avoiding Joshua’s gaze, as if Joshua was a beast that could go berserk at any time. 

Seeing Christy trembling, Joshua’s heart ached again. 

“Don’t be afraid, I won’t do anything to you.” He comforted her with the gentlest voice he could. 

However, his voice didn’t seem to have any effect on Christy. 

Christy was still cowering in the corner. 

“Roy, wait for me outside.” Joshua gave the order. 

He didn’t want others to see his girl like this. 

“Okay” Roy tactfully responded and quickly got out 

In fact, he didn’t dare to look at Christy at all. 

It was not polite to see that, and Roy was not a man who liked to take advantage of women. Besides, that one might soon 

be Mrs. Melendez! 

Christy thought Joshua was trying to do something to her by sending Roy away. She screamed in fear, “Stay away from
