Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Joshua let go of Christy and smiled. “You said no, but you were enjoying it just now.”
“You!” Christy was very angry in her heart.
She felt disgusted. How could she enjoy it?
This bastard!
Christy pushed Joshua away angrily and slapped him in the face hard.
Joshua held her wrist easily. He said with a wicked smile, “If I hadn’t helped you in time, your head would have been broken. Is this how you treat your
savior?”
“If you hadn’t let me go suddenly, would I have fallen down?” Christy shouted with red eyes.
Christy fell angry and aggrieved, but she didn’t want to yield to Joshua.
Christy tried her best to hold back her tears.
Suddenly, Joshua saw a red and swollen part on Christy’s hand. It was a scald, which was caused by the hot coffee splashed by Gloria just now, and it looked serious.
What a strange woman!
Other women tried their best to throw themselves at Joshua, but Christy even endured the pain of punching him. Did she have any grudges against
him?
Joshua’s desire suddenly disappeared.
With a frown, Joshua put the phone on speaker and said, “Lorene, bring me the medicine box.”
Lorene quickly brought a medicine box over, but when she opened the door, she was shocked by what she saw inside.
Joshua held Christy’s wrist tightly, while Christy stared at him resentfully with tears in her eyes.
If she didn’t know the two, Lorene would think that they were a couple who had a quarrel.
What was going on?
With a straight face, Joshua said to Christy, “Sit down!”
“What do you want?” Christy tried to shake off Joshua’s hands, but she failed because his hands were like pincers.
“Don’t move. Your hand is injured, and you need to apply medicine.” Joshua said with a long face, but his words didn’t sound like concern, but more
like a threat.
If Christy didn’t see the medicine box, she would doubt that Joshua was playing tricks on her again.
“Why are you so kind?” Christy stared at Joshua suspiciously as if the ointment was not medicine but poison.
“You were injured in the company, and I did this out of concern about my employees. I’m an impartial boss, and please don’t doubt the culture of our company,” Joshua explained with a straight face.
“Mr. Melendez, I have offended your woman!” Christy wasn’t satisfied with Joshua’s answer. She thought Joshua had ulterior motives and continued to question him.
y woman.”
Joshua’s face was very ugly. He said in a gloomy voice, “You’re wrong. Gloria is not my
Gloria was Joshua’s girlfriend, and it was reported on the news and on the Internet. Why didn’t he admit it? What a bastard!
“Mr. Melendez, you are the same as other rich men. You don’t admit Gloria is your girlfriend. She is so pitiful. She loves you so much!” Christy said sarcastically.
Joshua felt angry in his heart. This woman seized every opportunity to humiliate him.
Joshua was so angry that he stared at Christy.
“Christy, didn’t you fight with Gloria just now, and she splashed coffee over y
you? Why do you care about her relationships so much?” Joshua asked.
“No matter how ill–bred Gloria is, she is my step–sister. Now that she was cheated on by a bastard, as her sister, why can’t I care about her?” Christy said angrily with a righteous expression.
Of course, Joshua could tell that Christy was saying he was a bastard.
“Christy, don’t challenge my patience. Do you know whom you are talking to now?” As Joshua said angrily, he tightened his grip on Christy’s wrist.
“You’re hurting me! Let me go!” Christy shouted angrily, and her cheeks were a little bulging, like an angry kitten.
Christy’s expression cooled down Joshua’s anger in an instant. He even thought that Christy looked a little cute when she was angry.
Joshua thought Christy was seducing him again, and he couldn’t be fooled.
Chapter 12
Joshua’s face suddenly flushed. He didn’t want Christy to find out, so he coughed and immediately let Christy go
When Joshua was in a trance, Christy took out cotton swabs and ointment from the medicine box, and applied a thin layer of ointment on the back of
her hand
The ointment was cool, and after Christy applied it to her hand, she didn’t feel the pain anymore, and her scalded skin was recovering quickly
Christy was surprised. The medicine box in Mr. Melendez’s office was amazing, and it had a magical effect.
However, Christy didn’t know that it was a special medicine made by the Melendez family. There was only one bottle in the Stellar Building, which was stored in Joshua’s office, and ordinary employees wouldn’t have a chance to use it.
Christy’s fingers were slender, looking beautiful under the light in the office.
Joshua was attracted by Christy’s fingers.
The mendians on the back of Christy’s hand were like diamond threads.
Christy’s hands were more like exquisite artwork than the jewelry in Joshua’s shop.
After Christy finished applying the ointment, she glared at Joshua.
Joshua took away his eyes in time to avoid embarrassment.
If Christy found out that Mr. Melendez was peeking at her, she would be arrogant again.
“Go back to work!” Joshua said, pretending to be angry.
“Thank you, Mr. Melendez,” Christy left this devil–like man quickly without looking back..
Looking at Christy’s back, Joshua smiled wickedly.
Joshua thought that since Christy had used the ointment in his office, she wouldn’t be able to leave anymore.
Christy had attracted Joshua’s attention. In Joshua’s heart, Christy was his woman, and she couldn’t run away.
Lorene was stunned all the time..
Was she dreaming?
Did Christy have a quarrel with Mr. Melendez and then leave in peace?
When Joshua cursed Gloria, he was very angry, but he treated Christy like they were flirting with each other.
As Joshua’s secretary, Lorene could tell such an obvious contrast.
This employee named Christy was special.
Lorene snickered in her heart. It seemed that Mr. Melendez had a crush on Christy.
However, Lorene didn’t dare to laugh because she was afraid that Joshua would fire her. As she suppressed her laughter, Lorene was still dignified and
calm in front of Joshua.
“What did you see in my office today?” Suddenly, Joshua stopped Lorene with a long face.
“Mr. Melendez, I didn’t see anything” Lorene smiled calmly and professionally.
As a secretary, Lorene knew clearly what she should say and what she shouldn’t. If she offended Mr. Melendez, she would be fired.
“Well, you can go out now. I have something to do. Cancel all the meetings in the afternoon. I won’t see anyone,” Joshua said.
“I see.” Lorene nodded and then went out.
