Chapter 112
Chapter 112
The store manager greeted Joshua with a beaming smile as soon as she saw him.
It was clear from Joshua’s demeanor and attire that he was a very wealthy individual.
“Sir, please feel free to look around. Are you shopping for clothes for your girlfriend?” The store manager asked with a flattering smile.
Joshua seemed to ignore the store manager’s voice, treating her like thin air, and strode confidently over to Christy.
He removed his sunglasses, revealing deep, star–like eyes that gazed intently at Christy, smirking mischievously.
That smug grin was just asking for a punch!
Was Joshua here to mock Christy for being poor?
“Why are you here?” Christy asked with a straight face.
“This is a public store, so why shouldn’t I be here?” Joshua replied with a smile.
“Miss, you know this gentleman?” The young saleswoman cleverly smiled.
Christy’s face flushed slightly.
“We’re more than just acquaintances,” Joshua said, staring at Christy,
“What are you doing here?” Christy asked, her face turning red.
“I’m here to help you shop for clothes,” Joshua answered with a smile.
“I didn’t ask you to come with me,” Christy said, pouting.
“I insist on accompanying my woman as she shops for clothes. Do I need your approval?” Joshua smirked proudly.
From the moment Joshua appeared, Christy’s mind had been in disarray.
“Sir, your girlfriend is so beautiful and elegant!” The young saleswoman said with a sweet smile.
“Of course, my woman can’t be anything less,” Joshua replied proudly.
Christy felt like she had been taken advantage of by Joshua once again.
“I’m not buying anything! If you want to buy something, do it yourself!” Christy said angrily.
“Do you still want to see the art exhibition? There’s only one evening dress store near the museum. If you keep hesitating, the exhibition will be over,” Joshua casually mentioned.
Christy stopped in her tracks, turned around, and glared at Joshua.
Joshua knew she wouldn’t leave.
The art exhibition was a big draw for Christy.
“Aren’t you going to pick out your clothes? Time waits for no one.”
Joshua said with a smile, “This is a business trip, and the company should provide the clothes you need for the event. Is it really necessary for you to be so indecisive?”
Christy thought about it and decided Joshua had a point.
“Since it’s work attire provided by the company, I won’t refuse,” Christy said sternly.
Seeing Joshua willing to buy clothes for the seemingly poor young woman, the store manager rushed over, pushed the young saleswoman aside, and said with a grin, “Sir, I have the best taste in the store. Let me choose the clothes for the lady! 1 guarantee to make her the most elegant woman at the event.”
“Get lost.” Joshua’s eyes instantly turned cold. “I’ve never seen such an unprofessional store manager, trying to steal a sale from a new employee.”
The store manager’s face turned pale with fear.
Joshua’s intimidating presence could make even business tycoons and heads of small nations cower, let alone a store manager. She almost collapsed from fear..
“Young lady, please continue,” Joshua said, ignoring the frightened store manager and turning to the young saleswoman.
“O–Okay!” The saleswoman was also quite shocked. She hadn’t expected this breathtakingly handsome man to be so domineering and cold when provoked.
“Over here, we have some discounted clothes from last season,” the young saleswoman stammered as she spoke. She was trying to recommend last season’s clothes to Christy.
Chapter 112
“My woman doesn’t wear discounted clothes, nor does she wear clothes from last season. Bring out the most expensive and newest clothes of the current season.” Joshua confidently demanded.
“Sure!” The saleswoman instantly understood and obliged.
It turned out that Christy was the girlfriend of a wealthy young man.
“Miss, why don’t you try on this dress? I’m sure it’ll look stunning on you!” The saleswoman quickly grabbed the same design worn by the mannequin.
It was one of the newest designs of the season.
The saleswoman had noticed earlier that Christy’s eyes lingered on the dress when she first entered the store. She guessed it was Christy’s favorite.
Christy took the dress into the fitting room, and when she emerged, she looked absolutely stunning!
The sight before everyone was a ravishing beauty wearing a wine–red evening gown that accentuated her slim figure and radiated a mature, intellectual charm.
Her fair skin shimmered against the wine–red dress. Her delicate face and clear, bright eyes exuded an air of purity and elegance.
The dress looked like it was made for her, making her look like a beautiful sculpture.
Joshua was once again awestruck!
He exclaimed inwardly, “Damn it, this seemingly poor girl could look so beautiful with just a little effort. Is she some enchantress trying to seduce me again?”
Luckily, Joshua had accompanied Christy. Otherwise, many men would be attracted by her who dressed so lavishly.
“Miss, you look gorgeous!” The saleswoman’s eyes sparkled with admiration.
“What do you think?” Christy blushed a little.
When she saw the dress on the mannequin earlier, she thought it looked lovely. But now that she wore it, she felt a little exposed.
The front was a bit too low…
It was because her figure was more voluptuous than the mannequin’s.
Especially the chest area. It was simply impossible to contain!
“Hey, what do you think? Should I try another one?” Christy impatiently asked Joshua again, as he hadn’t responded to her question.
Joshua’s face flushed slightly before he said, “Try another one!”
Christy felt relieved that this one wasn’t suitable, and that Joshua, a man with normal tastes, agreed with her.
The saleswoman was disappointed, though!
Why changed it?
This dress looked fantastic on Christy, even better than on the mannequin!
However, since the customer wasn’t satisfied, she had to find another one.
The saleswoman then picked a long sky–blue dress for Christy. This one had sleeves, a form–fitting bodice, and a flared, flower–like dress that accentuated her waist. The dress was also adorned with many glittering crystals, reminiscent of a princess gown from a fairy tale.
Christy changed into the blue dress and stepped out.
Under the dazzling lights, the blue dress sparkled, and Christy resembled Cinderella, dancing with the prince in her glass slippers.
Joshua was awestruck once again!
He hadn’t expected Christy to possess such a versatile charm and be able to pull off even this style!
“How about this one?” Christy asked.
At some point, Christy had started caring about Joshua’s opinion.
Although the dress was beautiful, it was somewhat heavy due to the additional petticoat required to maintain its flared shape.
To accentuate her waistline, she had to wear a corset, making her uncomfortable.
“Let’s try another one,” Joshua said in a deep voice, never taking his eyes off Christy.

Chapter 112:
He was still not satisfied even though it looked so good!
The saleswoman felt it was such a pity! These two dresses were the hottest–selling items of the season.
