The Bride Who Said No: Escaping the Shadows of Yesterday

Chapter 100

After that, she deliberately didn't pick up Kieran's calls.

Every time something like this happened, Kieran would be freaking out. This time was no exception.

"Alright, I'll go check it out. But if he's messed with Freya, he's in big trouble!" With that, Eloise, flanked by Cindy and Mae, headed into the school building.

The place was swarming with bodyguards from the Sutton family.

Upon spotting Kieran, Cindy waved enthusiastically, "Mr. Sutton!"

Kieran frowned, turning around only to spot Eloise not far away. Then, Eloise finally saw Freya standing beside Kieran. The sight of Kieran gripping Freya's arm turned Eloise pale instantly. "Freya? How could you..." Cindy's expression soured, too, exchanging a look with Mae.

They had thought Kieran was there for Eloise, but he was there for Freya!

The atmosphere on the first floor of the school suddenly tensed up.

"Kieran... what's this all about?" Struggling to keep her composure, Eloise asked Kieran.

Shaking off Kieran's hand, Freya said, "Mr. Sutton, weren't you here for Ms. Harwood? Well, here she is, so I'll be leaving."

With that, Freya made her exit, dragging Luna along.

Kieran, with a determined look, was about to follow when Eloise called out, "Kieran!"

Cindy interrupted, "I knew it! Mr. Sutton was here for Eloise! It's all Freya's shamelessness, always imitating Eloise, and now, pulling the same stunt! She's trying to seduce Mr. Sutton! Pfft, as if she's in the same league!"

Kieran's expression darkened at Cindy's words.

Eloise stepped forward, asking, "Kieran, is that true?"

Everyone was watching. Who in Echo City didn't know Eloise was Kieran's true love? And Freya, always copying Eloise's style, managed to catch Kieran's eye by resembling her. "Eloise, isn't it obvious? Mr. Sutton must have mistaken her for you!" Mae added, painting Freya as a woman desperate to seduce Kieran by any means.

"Enough." Kieran, icy-faced, commanded, "Everyone, out!"

Scared by Kieran's intense demeanor, Cindy and Mae didn't even wait for the bodyguards. They just took off in a panic.

"Kieran... were you really with Freya..." Eloise bit her lip.

She saw with her own eyes that Kieran and Freya came down the stairs, their clothes in disarray, and Freya was wearing Kieran's pajamas.

Despite Kieran's explanations over

the past few days, she had shut herself away, deliberately ignoring him. But Kieran hadn't come looking for her these past two days. Could it

all be because of Freya?

"I told you. You're overthinking it." Kieran stated flatly, "Ellie, you're too naive. You should keep your distance from such friends."

As Kieran turned to leave, Eloise hurriedly grabbed his arm. "Kieran, they're my friends. They..."

Kieran cut her off, saying, "Look, I know about the trouble you've been causing, the lies, and even slapping Freya. I'let it slide just this once for your sake. But don't forget, Freya is now my fiancée, soon to be Mrs. Sutton, and I won't stand for her being disrespected."
