Chapter 190 Mutual Achievement
Victor nodded, popped open the bottle, and took a whiff, his eyes going wide with surprise.
"Whoa, there's like thirty different herbs in here, and some of them are super rare!" Victor exclaimed.
Victor, a pharmacology professor at Stellar University, could identify the ingredients just by their scent, which totally impressed Allison.
"I can jot down the formula for you tomorrow, but if we want to mass-produce it, we'll need to get regulatory approval," Allison said.
Victor nodded again. "I'll set up the clinical trials and handle the patents and approvals. We're also working on some formulas at the university. How about you come check out our lab?"
Allison looked at him, surprised. "Victor, are you trying to swipe my secrets? My formulas aren't cheap!"
Victor laughed. "I know you're starting a pharmaceutical company and will have your own lab soon. I believe you'll be a big name in the medical field. But Allison, family traditions are tough to keep up alone."
"I'll think about it," Allison said, hesitating.
Victor saw his chance and pressed on, "You can jump straight into Stellar University's medical program as a postdoc. As Mr. Watson's student, no one will question your qualifications."
Allison was already a medical doctor, so going for a postdoc made sense. She had initially wanted to study electronic technology, but she couldn't seem to escape the medical field, which bummed her out a bit.
"Can I go for a dual degree if I have other interests?" Allison asked.
Victor was taken aback. Allison was already so accomplished, and yet she aimed even higher. "I can ask the university about it. Are you sure you want to come to Stellar University?"
Allison shook her head. "I'm not sure. Mr. Watson wants me to study abroad, but I don't want to go."
Victor nodded. "Studying abroad is important, but given your age and experience, it might be better to gain more experience here first."
Allison said she'd think about it and went back to her room, sitting cross-legged on the bed, still mulling over the decision.
When Alexander came out of the shower, he saw Allison with her hair down, looking really troubled.
He smiled and pulled her onto his lap. "What's on your mind?"
Allison nodded. "Alexander, I want to go for dual PhDs at Stellar University, but if I do, we might not see each other much."
Alexander was momentarily stunned. Dual PhDs? Even he couldn't handle that, yet Allison talked about it like it was no big deal. But her concern for his feelings made him happy.
"Allison, you're young and have your whole career and future ahead of you. We love each other, but love shouldn't mean giving up opportunities. Partners should support each other, not hold each other back," Alexander said thoughtfully.
Allison looked at Alexander, surprised. She hadn't expected such a thoughtful response, free of any controlling vibes.
"I thought guys didn't like strong women," she said.

Alexander sighed, wrapping his arm around her waist. "Who says that? I love a woman who knows what she wants!"
Allison laughed softly, hugging him around the neck. "Alright, I was wrong. Alexander, you have a really generous heart!"
Alexander couldn't help but laugh, pulling her onto the bed and kissing her deeply. Allison gasped softly, feeling his intense desire.
But knowing she was still young and they weren't even officially engaged yet, Alexander restrained himself and went to the bathroom to cool off.
Allison lay there for a moment, then buried her face in the pillow, smiling. She found Alexander's restraint endearing. He was such a good guy.
When Alexander came out of the bathroom, the cold water had left him shivering. He saw Allison curled up under the covers, already asleep.
"You couldn't even wait for me to say goodnight?" he muttered with a smile.
Instead of going back to the guest room, Alexander climbed into bed beside Allison, wrapping his arms around her. The cold made her squirm, but he whispered soothingly, "It's okay, sleep. I'm here."
Allison snuggled closer, finding a comfortable spot in his embrace, and soon fell back asleep. Holding her, Alexander felt a deep contentment and quickly drifted off.

When Allison came down in casual clothes, Teddy's eyes widened.
"Allison, you can't be serious about wearing that to meet Dwight. It's a symposium, and you're supposed to give a speech. Do you even understand what that means?" Teddy said.
Allison nodded. "I do, which is why I arranged for you to give the speech. I sent the script to your email last night. Better get familiar with it, or Dwight might give you a hard time."
Teddy was furious. "Allison, that's too much!"
He stood up, pointing at her angrily.
Alexander, coming down the stairs, smacked him on the back of the head and sat down. "Who taught you to speak to your elders like that?"
Teddy was seething.
Allison smiled, looking at him nonchalantly. "Teddy, you should be grateful. Dwight and
I agreed on this. I know you want me to make a name for myself, but I don't want the
hassle right now. You're handsome and talented, perfect to represent us."
Teddy rolled his eyes. "I'm not just eye candy; I bring the whole buffet!"
Aiden, who had been eating breakfast, couldn't help but laugh. "Great, Teddy! Just
make sure you don't come with too many calories!"
"Grandpa!" Teddy protested.
