Chapter 936
Chapter 936
Was that Isaac?
How on earth did Ivy fall for him?
Could it be that Isaac, behind Brittany’s back, had charmed Ivy?
So, Brittany’s marriage was unhappy just as she guessed!
With that thought, Saskia’s disdain for Brittany grew. She had thought Isaac was such a catch, but it turned out he was messing
around too.
Isaac’s good looks had instantly captured the attention of all the high-society ladies.
“He’s not from Craneville, is he?”
“Definitely not. We pretty much know all the rich kids and heirs around here, and he’s not one of them.”
“Princess, where’s he from? What’s his name? What does he do?”
Fingering the photograph with a knowing smile, Ivy said, “He’s from Imperial City.”
“I feel like I’ve seen this guy before.”
Someone recognized Isaac’s identity. “Isn’t he from the Salter family in Imperial City? They’re just as reputable as the Lynette
family. But I thought he got married a while back.” Saskia’s breath hitched.
Here it comes. Isaac’s infidelity couldn’t be hidden any longer!
One was a beloved royal princess, the other a recently discovered illegitimate daughter; anyone would know who to choose!
She was eager to see how Brittany would act once she was cast aside!
When Ivy heard this, her smile faltered briefly. “Is that so? I didn’t know...”
She had done her research. As it turned out, Isaac’s wife was a commoner when they married. Just from the descriptions, Ivy
had sketched an image of Mrs. Salter in her mind – Beautiful, perhaps, but mediocre in ability. From an average family, she had
married up by snagging Isaac.
Isaac, a man of his caliber, could have had a much better life.
Ivy didn’t think there was anything immoral about what she was doing.
After all, she hadn’t seduced Isaac; she had simply taken a liking to him. But she wouldn’t dare admit that she knew Isaac was
married; that could tarnish her image.
“So young and already married?”
“The word is he was, but then got divorced...” The person was also unsure. “Anyway, Isaac is well-known in Imperial City, very
capable, and wealthy.”
And rumor had it, he was once madly in love with his wife. No one knew why, but things had gone sour, and his wife had
reportedly taken him for all he was worth!
These details went unsaid. It was clear to anyone with eyes that Ivy liked Isaac, so why rain on her parade?
Ivy was pleased with the praise for Isaac, basking in the reflected glory. She silently vowed to make Isaac hers.
But first things first, she needed to help him untangle from his current marriage.
Saskia felt a twinge of regret that Isaac’s true colors remained unexposed.
Ivy excused herself to the restroom, and Saskia stepped out onto the balcony to take a call. The other heiresses continued to
gossip about the latest happenings.
Emerging from the restroom, Ivy bumped into Brittany.
“Ms. Dustin.” Ivy was surprised. “You’re here too?”
Brittany had planned an afternoon tea with friends and hadn’t expected to run into Ivy in the restroom.
“Princess, what a coincidence.”
Ivy liked Brittany and took the initiative to exchange contact information. “Ms. Du saw you helping that waitress at the restaurant
the other day, and I’d like to be fri Can we exchange contact details?”
Brittany obviously wouldn’t say no..
They swapped numbers, and Ivy started chatting. “Did Daniel come with you?”
“No, he’s over at the Lynette Mansion, hanging around with my dad.”
