The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 914

Chapter 914
The attorney approached with a respectful demeanor.
Brittany flipped open the file and what she found inside nearly knocked the wind out of her.
The Lynettes were the wealthiest family in Craneville, and Yuri was known for his lavish expenditures. Just adding up the cash
and property, the assets exceeded three billion!
Brittany quickly snapped the file shut. “Mr. Lynette, this...”
“Take it,” Yuri’s voice was firm. “You’re my daughter, everything the Lynettes have should rightfully be yours.”
After some deliberation, Brittany signed the documents and murmured a thank you.
Seeing her accept his gift, Yuri’s lips curled into a subtle smile. “I’ve been thinking about relocating your mother’s grave to
Craneville, to rest in the Lynette Family Cemetery. Would you agree to that?”
“No, absolutely not!” Leila rose to her feet abruptly. “Yuri, I am your wife. If she’s buried in the Lynette Family Cemetery, then
what am I?”
She was the one legitimately wed to him, the true Mrs. Lynette. Why should Juliana rest in tin their family burial ground?
“I didn’t ask you,” Yuri said with a stern look that sent Leila retreating back to her seat, too intimidated to utter another word.
Brittany hadn’t expected this suggestion. “Mr. Lynette, please give me some time to think it over.”
Yuri had loved Julie deeply, and consequently, his feelings towards Brittany were tinged with pity.
“Fine. I won’t do anything until you agree. But please, try to understand my feelings. Not a moment has passed in all these years
when I haven’t thought of your mother, and I hope, when my time comes, to be laid to rest beside her.”
Leila’s face clouded with rage.
The rest of the Lynettes at the breakfast table remained silent, not daring to speak.
With eyes reddened by fury, Leila stood up and left the room. Yuri pretended not to notice.

After breakfast, under the watchful escort of the butler, Brittany returned to her own villa.
As she arrived, Isaac was waiting at the door.
As Brittany stepped out of the car, he strode over to her, taking her hand. With a look of deep concern, he said, “You’re back.”
The butler noted Isaac’s presence and guessed that this must be Brittany’s husband, “Miss, this gentleman must be your
husband, right?”
“Yes, my husband, Isaac Salter.”
Brittany found the butler amiable and spoke warmly, “Thank you for bringing me home.”
“It’s my pleasure, Miss,” The butler replied with a respectful bow. “You take care now, I should get back. Goodbye.”
“Goodbye.”
After the butler had left, Isaac led Brittany through the front door.
Once the butler had returned to the Lynettes, he reported everything that had transpired.
Yuri was surprised to learn of Brittany’s marriage to Isaac Salter.
“The Salters of Imperial City?”
“Yes,” the butler nodded. “According to what we’ve found, Miss has been married to Mr. Salter for years now, and they have a
five-year-old child.”
“A boy or a girl?”
“A boy.”
Yuri hadn’t anticipated that, after so many years, not only did he have a daughter to reconnect with, but also a grandson!
“Where is he? In Craneville?”
“No, the young master is in Imperial City.”
Yuri leaned back in the leather armchair, pondering for a long while before responding, “I see.”

“Has she not signed yet?” Yuri asked, referring to Leila.
“The lady refuses to sign.”
Yuri massaged his temples. “Have her family apply pressure. They need to ensure she signs quickly.”
Outside the door, Leila, who had been intent on mending fences, overheard this and her expression turned stormy. Clutching her
cup of coffee, she spun around and walked away.
Having been married into the Lynette family for years, she had basked in the prestige of the Lynette name for three decades.
Now Yuri wanted a divorce? In her dreams!
He was so fond of that curse of a daughter; well, she was determined to see for herself what made that girl so special to deserve
such affection from him!
