Chapter 911
Chapter 911
After chatting with Yuri, Brittany returned to her room. She felt like a stranger in the Lynette family, so she was hesitant to touch
anything, as if every item held a history she wasn’t yet privy to. She called Isaac, her voice echoing the unfamiliarity of her
surroundings, to inform him that she was with the Lynette family.
Isaac was taken aback by the dramatic shift in her circumstances. “How are the Lynettes treating you?” he asked, the concern in
his voice palpable through the phone line.
“Yuri’s been kind. He wants to make amends,” Brittany replied, stepping out onto the balcony to catch her breath. “I haven’t met
the others yet. Looks like I won’t be coming home tonight.”
Understanding the suddenness of the situation, Isaac reassured her. “Stay put with the Lynettes. I’ll reach out to the Russells and
get to the bottom of what happened back then.” Brittany was grateful for his insight. “Alright.”
The news that the Lynette’s long-lost daughter had been found spread like wildfire. Yuri’s father Knox Lynette was overjoyed, and
the entire family buzzed with anticipation about what this prodigal daughter might look like.
Holden and Saskia Lynette hurried back to the Bay Community.
As they entered, they saw Leila lounging in the living room, attempting to appear gentle and concerned, though her heart was
filled with irritation. She had worked tirelessly over the years to ensure Julie was completely erased from their lives, only for Yuri
to stumble upon that wretched girl! And to make matters worse, he had identified her immediately, leaving the family no time to
prepare.
Saskia noticed Leila’s foul mood and kept her distance, while the rest of the Lynette family gathered in the spacious living room,
buzzing with curiosity.
“Didn’t Yuri say she was found? Why hasn’t he brought her down yet?” Yuri’s brother Alistair Lynette grew impatient, eager to lay
eyes on his niece.
The butler came with refreshments, breaking the tension. “Mr. Lynette and the young lady will be down shortly.”
As if on cue, footsteps echoed from above. The Lynette family looked up in unison to see Yuri descending the staircase with a
young woman by his side. She was dressed in a silk white blouse paired with a mermaid skirt that swayed with her every step.
Her features were delicate and fair, her complexion creamy, and her eyes sparkled as if they held the stars.
“Ms. Dustin? What are you doing here?” Holden was shocked. In his wildest dreams, he hadn’t imagined Brittany was Yuri’s
daughter!
“You know each other?” Yuri’s voice was tinged with surprise.
“We’ve met a few times,” Holden confessed. “Ms. Dustin used to live in Craneville. Bri-jeweled Studio is her creation.”
Brittany, a member of the Lynettes, also happened to be the founder of Bri-jeweled Studio-a business the Lynettes had recently
considered acquiring. It all seemed like fate. Clearing his throat, Yuri made the formal introduction. “I’d like to introduce everyone
to my daughter, Brittany. From this day forward, Brittany will be the legitimate heiress to the Lynette family name.”
‘Saskia’s face turned ghostly pale. Adopted into the family, she’d always been the favorite, especially doted on by Leila. Now,
with Brittany’s sudden appearance, her own future seemed uncertain.
In the Lynette family, Yuri’s word was law, and nobody dared to speak up against him.
Leila couldn’t hide her displeasure. “Yuri, have you done a paternity test?”
That woman, Juliana, had no shame, living with men in such a low manner.
Who knows if Brittany is really a Lynette!
“We’ve done the test,” Yuri replied curtly, never one to show Leila much affection. He gestured to his lawyer who stepped forward
with a document.
“When I married you, I was in the dark. Over the years, I’ve asked for a divorce numerous times, but you’ve always refused. I’ve
wasted many years of your life, so tell me what you want as compensation. Name it, and I’ll fulfill it to the best of my ability.”
