Chapter 934
Chapter 934
Leila never in her wildest dreams imagined that Yuri would dote so much on that little rascal!
Daniel’s smile froze on his face.
Yuri’s brows furrowed. “Who dares speak ill of me?”
In all of Craneville, who would dare cross him?
Leila’s face turned pale, her lips trembling uncontrollably. “Yuri, how could you do this to me? When Saskia and Holden were just tots, you couldn’t be bothered to spare them a glance, and now you shower this… this child with so much affection.”
“He’s my grandson.” Yuri set down Daniel, and said to the butler, “Take the young master to the dining room.”
Daniel obediently followed the butler out of the room.
“What are you saying? Aren’t Holden and Saskia part of the Lynette family?”
“The circumstances of their arrival, you know better than I do.” Yuri’s cold gaze swept over her. “I’ve let you maintain your dignity over the years. Don’t push my limits.”
Limits?
Leila scoffed, “After all this time, you’ve never had a shred of affection for me! Why did you marry me then?” Leila’s eyes reddened, her voice choked with accusation. “What have
カ
I done wrong? For thirty years, you’ve never fallen for me? You don’t even care for my children…”
Brittany descended the stairs, overhearing Leila’s accusations, and felt awkward. She didn’t want to meddle in Yuri’s marriage or offer an opinion.
Yet Leila wouldn’t let her off the hook.
“Are you still hung up on Juliana? She never loved you. She married someone else. She had become another man’s woman. Why can’t you let her go?”
Yuri found her unreasonable. “Our marriage was arranged, devoid of affection from the start,” he explained, pausing briefly. “Moreover had you not been so headstrong, I would never have married you.”
Back then, he was trapped, and it was Leila who had insisted on the marriage. He had never considered marrying anyone but Juliana
Unfortunately, he was powerless and found himself stuck in a marriage with Leila for thirty years.
Leila’s grief-stricken face froze, disbelief etched across it. “You’ve known all along?”

“What difference does it make?” Yuri walked to the dining table. “I’ve drawn up the divorce papers. You’re free to sign them whenever you like.”
Pausing briefly, he added, “Because of Holden and Saskia, I won’t sever ties with your family business. As long as I live, you’ll suffer no harm.”
That was the last shred of respect he was willing to offer.
Leila sneered, “You want a divorce to rekindle things with Juliana? Dream on!”
With a biting remark, she stormed off.
Just then, Holden and Saskia returned.
For a moment, the air in the dining room turned icy. But Holden excelled at breaking the
ice, shrugging off his jacket, hanging it up, and greeting Yuri.
Brittany greeted him, “This is my husband, Isaac Salter.”
“Mr. Salter.”
“Mr. Lynette.”
The two tall men standing together formed a remarkably handsome picture.
Saskia watched from a distance, envious of Brittany’s apparent happiness, contrasting with Leila’s upset departure. Apart from blood ties, she couldn’t see how she was inferior to Brittany. Yet, for all these years, Yuri had always been distant towards her.
Leila left in a huff, and Yuri had no desire to call her back for dinner.
“Let’s eat.” Yuri sat next to Daniel, whose sweet talking brought smiles to his face.
“Grandpa, I want chicken wings!”
Yuri picked up a wing, carefully removed the bones, and fed it to him. “Open wide.”
Daniel ate with gusto, his face smeared with sauce. “Thanks, Grandpa, you’re the best.”
Yuri laughed heartily.
Brittany knew this was typical of Daniel, a hint of resignation in her eyes. Sensing Saskia’s displeasure, she cleared her throat. “Daniel, eat by yourself.”
Then, turning to Yuri, she added, “Dad, don’t spoil him. He can manage on his own.”
“It’s alright,” Yuri couldn’t hide his affection for Daniel. “I enjoy the little guy’s company. Bring him over for dinner more often.”
