The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac)

Chapter 617

Chapter 617

Brittany knew Isaac was smart, so she said, "Yes."

Isaac's voice was a bit low, "Do you really like him?"

He couldn't imagine any other reason why Brittany would give up so much money other than liking the guy! Brittany thought that his logic was a little off. She put down the files in her hands and turned to leave.

"Bang!"

Isaac punched the steering wheel in rage with a stubborn glint in his eyes.

Ever since attending the Dillion family's wedding, Brittany hadn't set foot in the company.

The moment she stepped into the company building, her assistant whisked her away, "Ms. Dustin, you're finally here. There's a huge backlog of files in the company. You need to deal with it ASAP." Looking at the mountain of files, Brittany rubbed her temples, "Alright, I got it."

The whole morning, Brittany was busy with work, even forgetting to take a sip of water.

Around noon, her assistant knocked on the door.

"Ms. Dustin, it's time for lunch."

Brittany was still going through files and frowned, "You go ahead."

The assistant was in a tight spot and said, "But Mr. Salter said that you must eat now, or he'll come over and watch you eat."

Mr. Salter?

Brittany stopped flipping through the files. After a while, she closed the file and responded, "Alright."

The assistant brought lunch over. Brittany went to the restroom before eating.

Just as she entered, she heard footsteps outside.

"Ms. Dustin came to the company this morning. Did you guys see it?"

"Yeah, she and Mr. Dillion must have broken up, right?"

"It seems like it. I wonder what Ms. Dustin was thinking, going back to Mr. Salter. Mr. Dillion was so good to her."

"I heard Ms. Dustin and Mr. Salter have a son. Maybe that's why they got back together. Poor Mr. Dillion, waiting all those years for nothing."

"Ah."

"I heard Mr. Salter always had women around him these years. That actress from the entertainment circle, wasn't she close to him?"

"No matter how close they were, that actress never managed to marry into a wealthy family. Ms. Dustin is the daughter of the Dustin family, has Bri-jeweled Studio and the Chester family backing her up. Mr. Salter will definitely choose Ms. Dustin." "I think Ms. Dustin and Mr. Salter are actually quite compatible. I saw Ms. Dustin getting out of Mr. Salter's car this morning. They seemed to be getting along well."

The lively chatter was too much for Brittany. She wanted to leave..

But then the door to the neighboring stall opened. It was her assistant.

"Instead of gossiping, how about you focus on your work? Ms. Dustin's personal life is none of your business. If I catch you again, you're going straight to HR!"

The female employees were scared stiff and quickly left.

After washing her hands, the assistant left.

Back in her office, Brittany faced the fragrant lunch, but she had no appetite. She was still thinking about the gossip.

In a way, she did owe William an apology.

Meanwhile, at the hospital.

Ever since Brittany's visit, William seemed to have accepted reality.

He cooperated with the treatment and no longer argued with his parents.

Mrs. Dillion was very pleased. As soon as William's condition improved slightly, she couldn't sit still, "William, Carla Salter has been wanting to visit you these days. What do you think?"

Carla hadn't liked anyone over the years. She had been waiting for William.

Mrs. Dillion was very satisfied with her.

William understood what she meant, "Mom, I don't want to be in a relationship now, and I don't want to make a promise to Carla that I can't keep."

Carla was someone he watched grow up. He didn't want to ruin her future life.

"She's all grown up now. If you really care about her, why not help her find a good man? She's done too much for me."

Mrs. Dillion didn't expect William to be so firm. She asked, "Are you still thinking about Brittany?"
