The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac)

Chapter 1070

"Dad, it's over now."

Brittany knew Yuri wasn't exactly a saint, but he was a good father. "The royals have got something on us now. We need to be ready."

Yuri nodded, regretting his earlier decision. If he had known Brittany would be targeted, he wouldn't have publicly acknowledged her. Instead, he would've chosen a more secretive way to protect her from the shadows.

...

That afternoon.

A notorious journalist in Craneville leaked photos of Brittany and Prince Eltham on a date!

Could Brittany actually be marrying Prince Eltham?

Hasn't Brittany been married before? Can the royals accept a divorcee?]

So what if she's divorced? Brittany is the sole heir to the Lynette fortune, worth billions. Who wouldn't want a piece of that?!

Prince Eltham has been diligent over the years, a perfect match for Brittany, but will the royals accept her son too?!

Am I the only one thinking Brittany is cursed?

The news exploded online.

Isaac's face went dark as he saw the news.

"Mr. Salter, please, calm down," Nathan immediately tried to soothe. "I'm already looking into it. It seems Mr. Lynette got caught in a bind, and Ms. Lynette is trying to protect him..." "I know," Isaac sighed.

Yuri might be wealthy, but he couldn't compare to the powerful royal family.

By repeatedly snubbing Prince Eltham, Brittany had essentially slapped the royals in the face.

It was expected they'd retaliate.

"Dig into Eltham. I want everything, the dirtier, the better."

Prince Eltham had a solid reputation in Craneville, focused on his career, the likely next in line.

But Isaac didn't buy it. There had to be flaws; there always are.

Nathan left on his mission.

He lived in a hotel, and it was past midnight when he finished his day's work.

Entering the elevator, he was surprised to find Kari and Ronald inside, likely just back from a vacation, judging by their luggage.

The couple wore matching light blue outfits. Kari, seemingly exhausted, leaned heavily on Ronald.

Ronald, managing their luggage with one hand, wrapped his other arm around Kari, as if to prevent her from falling.

Their eyes met, and Ronald straightened up. "What are you doing here?"

Nathan's gaze lingered on Kari, his throat tight with emotion.

Ronald instinctively pulled Kari closer, shielding her eyes with his hand. "Nathan, Kari's my girlfriend now. Stay away from her." "Your girlfriend?"

Nathan's voice was a low rumble. "You're together?"

"What else?" Ronald's voice carried a hint of triumph. "I've been courting Kari for so long, and she finally accepted me. We're going to be happy, so, stay out of Kari's life."

Nathan stood frozen as the elevator doors began to close, feeling as if his heart was sinking into an abyss.

Kari, now fully awake, had decided she didn't want to engage with Nathan and pretended to be asleep in Ronald's arms.

Back in their room, Ronald prepared a bath for her, murmuring, "Get some rest, I'll find something for you to eat."

"No need," Kari mumbled, exhausted. "I'll just go to bed."

Ronald frowned. "No, you have a sensitive stomach. Have some oatmeal before you sleep."

Kari whimpered softly in the tub, finally agreeing.

Ronald had always been possessive and controlling, even as a child.
