Chapter 512 Symeon’s Phone Call
The following morning, Symeon heard Dulcie whimpering in her bed. He thought it might be another one of her nightmares and
reluctantly got up to comfort her. However, when he reached her bedside, he was startled to see the child’s cheeks were rosy.
Instinctively, he touched her forehead and realized she had a fever. Panic washed over him, and he shouted. angrily, “Anyone!
The child has a fever!”
The nanny hurried to the room and asked, “Mr. Lawrence, what happened? How did she get a fever?”
He was furious and scolded her, “How dare you ask! You slept like a log and weren’t even aware when the child left the room!”
However, the nanny was at a loss for words and didn’t know how to respond to the scolding.
Then, Symeon reached for his phone and called his private doctor, urgently asking him to
come over.
In about half an hour, the doctor arrived at the villa.
After giving Dulcie some fever-reducing medicine, the doctor reassured him, “The child must have caught a cold. Also, her fever
will go down after taking the medicine. Just give her the remaining dose in two hours and keep her warm. Ensure she gets plenty
of rest and. drinks warm water. Don’t worry because she’ll be okay in a few days.”
Symeon finally breathed a sigh of relief, wondering how the child had caught a chill. He couldn’t help but question if he had
covered her with a blanket last night.
At that moment, Dulcie, softly crying in her sleep, murmured, “Mommy... Mommy...
Grandma...”
Whenever someone fell ill, their emotions could be affected, and this was especially true for children. However, Symeon was a
grown man and didn’t know how to comfort a sick child. What should I do?
Seeing the unwell child in bed, Symeon felt helpless. He realized the nanny was unreliable, and no other woman was around to
comfort the little one. Suddenly, someone came to his
mind...
At the Winters Estate, Amanda had been back home for several days, and it was time for Aiden to go to kindergarten. Summer
vacation was about to start, and he hadn’t been to kindergarten much this year.

“Aiden, hurry up and get ready. Grab your backpack, and Mr. Yacob will take you to kindergarten.”
“I know, Mommy. You’re so naggy.”
Yacob walked over, picked up Aiden, and assured Amanda, “I’ll take him to school.”
She smiled and nodded. Then, she sat on the couch and was bored since Elias had left for work early that morning to attend
several meetings.
At that moment, the nanny rushed downstairs and said, “Madam, your phone has been ringing for a while.”
“Bring it over.” Amanda took the phone and saw an unfamiliar number. After hesitating momentarily, she swiped the screen to
answer. “Who is it?”
“It’s me.”
She froze upon hearing the voice, instantly recognizing it as Symeon’s. She couldn’t understand why he was calling her. She had
hoped to have no further dealings with him after all the suffering he had caused her family.
“Why are you calling me? Don’t you have anything better to do?” Her tone was far from friendly, given the pain he had brought
into her life.
“Do
you
have to be so hostile? I’m not calling to cause trouble but to seek your help.”
“Help? What’s wrong with you? What can I do to help you?” Amanda couldn’t fathom why. Symeon, with his influential family
background, would need her assistance.
Then, he explained, “Dulcie has a fever, and she keeps calling for her mother. She can’t see. Melissa anymore. I plan to help her
find her biological mother, but right now... I’m struggling to take care of her. Can you come and take a look? You’re a mother and
should know how to comfort a sick child.”
She hesitated upon hearing this request. She had no desire to see him, but she couldn’t ignore the plight of an innocent child.
Dulcie was just a three-year-old girl, and with her grandmother and mother absent, she must be frightened. Additionally, given
the man’s somber disposition, it was only natural for children to be afraid around him.
After some thought, Amanda reluctantly agreed, “Okay, send me the address. I’ll come over later.”
However, as she hung up the phone, she started to regret her decision. She knew that Elias would be furious if he knew about
this, but it could upset him even more if she didn’t tell him about it.

So, she dialed his number to let him know. However, he didn’t answer after several attempts. Frustrated, she tried calling Jean,
his secretary, who picked up quickly.
“Where is Elias? Let him answer the phone; I have something to tell him.”
Jean hesitated for a moment and replied, “Um... Mr. Winters is currently busy. I don’t think he has the time to answer the phone.”
“Is he in a meeting?”
However, Jean was not adept at lying. She hesitated and eventually confessed, “It’s not at meeting, but Mr. Winters is meeting
someone. It might not be convenient for him to answer the phone right now, so I’ll go in and relay your message.”
“Fine, go ahead and pass the phone to him. I just wanted to say a few words.”
Jean knocked on Elias’ office door with the phone in hand.
When the secretary entered the office, Amanda heard a familiar woman’s voice through the receiver-it was Rosie’s. At that
moment, her mind was flooded with questions. Why is she at Elias’ office again? She just wouldn’t give up, huh?
Then, a man’s voice came from the phone. “Amanda, what’s wrong? Is there something urgent?”
“Rosie is in your office, Elias! Don’t lie to me; I heard her voice!” She grew angrier by the second, especially since he hadn’t
informed her about Rosie’s visit.
He sounded somewhat helpless as he responded, “I don’t know how she got here, but she insisted on seeing me. If I didn’t meet
her, she threatened to cause a scene. I’m trying to send. her away. By the way, what did you want to tell me?”
Suddenly, Rosie’s voice interrupted again, loudly protesting, “Who are you to stop me from seeing Eli? Even if you’re married,
can’t I see him? We used to be like siblings! Amanda, you’ve gone too far!”
Amanda couldn’t believe Rosie’s audacity. Before she could respond, Elias abruptly ended. the call. Consequently, she
attempted to call again but couldn’t establish a connection.
B*stard! She cursed and eventually decided not to inform him about the matter she had initially intended to report.
She returned to her bedroom upstairs, changed her clothes, and headed to the garage.
Afterward, Amanda headed to the address Symeon had provided. It took her about an hour to reach Galaxy Bay, and she rang
the doorbell at the specified house number, waiting for
someone to answer.
