The Barrister’s Love in Town Chapter 51

Chapter 51 Howard and Aiden.

They’re related? Grace felt her world shatter, and her phone fell to the ground. The caller was still saying something, but she couldn’t care less. So, the boy I saw that night is really Elias son That b*tch had his son! She plopped down onto the couch, shivering in disbelief. Why didn’t the tell him about

* Why did she make him think the aborted the boy? Wait, can it be that she’s going to use the child at a trump card to take back everything That makes sense. With the child in hand, she can do anything she wants, but I won’t let her. I did my best for years, but he won’t even sleep with me, yet that b*tch has his son? 17 kill that boy. I’ll make sure to get rid of him so she can never have what she wants

Morning came. Amanda hadn’t slept well the whole night. She got up and washed herself up, theni she got changed and waited for the nanny to come by before she went to work.

At work, she couldn’t seem to concentrate. Notifications about Elias’ statement during the ball kept popping up. I bet Grace is taking a big hit. It’s been her dream to marry a rich guy like Elias, but now her dream is shattered. The Internet was merciless to her too, mocking her for fantasizing about marrying a rich man.

Just then, someone called Amanda. She noticed that it was the Winters Residence’s number. Oh my God, I hope it’s not Howard again. She was reluctant to take the call, but Howard was nice to her. so she took it after a few moments of hesitation.

Before she could say anything, the butler hurriedly asked. “Miss Bailey, is Old Mister Winters at your place?”

Huh? Confused, Amanda asked, “No. What happened to him?”

“He’s missing! Been missing since this morning. The surveillance camera showed him driving out of the house. We have no idea where he went and we’re searching for him. We’ll talk later. The call ended.

Amanda got worried. Grandpa’s missing? How? She quickly called Elias, and it went through in a few moments.

“What is it, Amanda” Elias asked. There were a lot of sounds around him. Amanda wondered if he was looking for Howard.

Howard’s gone missing, hasn’t he? What happened? Where are you? I’ll meet up with you, and we’ll search for him together.” She got up, took her handbag, and got ready to leave.

A few moments of silence later, Elias said, “Central Park. That’s where Grandpa’s car was last seen.”

Tll be right there.”

Meanwhile, a luxury car stopped by the kindergarten. An old man with a walking stick stood right

outside the fence, smiling at the playing children within. Ever since Amanda took Simon back to the residence, Howard had been miffed. He knew that he couldn’t get Elias and Amanda to remarry anymore, so he went around for a stroll himself.

He stood outside the kindergarten staring at the kids, and then he sighed. He muttered, “If they hadn’t gotten divorced, their kid would be in kindergarten now, I guess.”

Just then, a ball rolled over to the fence, and Aiden came to pick it up. Howard noticed him..

Hm… There was a weird look in Howard’s eyes. He seems familiar. I think I’ve seen him before. He looks like someone I know.

Aiden picked the ball up and realized an old man was staring at him. He asked, “Why are you staring at me?”

“You look familiar. I think I’ve seen you before.” Howard walked forward to get a closer look. He looks like Elias when he was a kid. No, I must be imagining things. Man, I really want a great-grandchild.

“I’ve never seen you before, though. You got the wrong person,” said Aiden.

Howard nodded. “Maybe, but you look like my grandson. He was reminded of Elias when the boy was a child. He was cheeky and often got smacked by Howard. And now he’s married and divorced.

Aiden stared at Howard and held the fence. “Is your grandson here too? Is he in the same class as

me?”

Howard chuckled. He’s so cute. “My grandson’s a big boy now. He’s no longer a kindergartener. Just saying you look like him when he was a wee lad, Howard felt like there was a connection between him and the child. It felt like they had known each other for a long time.

“I see. Was he in this kindergarten when he was a kid?”

“He was a cheeky boy who wouldn’t play with anyone else, so we made a kindergarten just for him.” Odd. Why am I talking to him so much? And to think I’m answering his questions. He smiled, shaking his head. Yeah, I’m getting old and lonely.

“Your grandson must have been a happy kid.”

Howard scoffed. “He was adorable as a kid, not so much when he’s an adult. I don’t even feel like talking to him now.”

Amanda ran into Elias the moment she came to Central Park. He was sitting on the bench dejectedly, so it was obvious he still hadn’t found Howard after all this time. She took out a bottle. of water and handed it to him. “Here. Let’s search for him slowly. He’s probably just out for a

stroll.”

Elias looked at her and froze for a moment, then he took the bottle of water. “Honestly, he’s an adult. Can’t he just let us rest for a bit?” Elias grumbled.
